Disney January Marathon discounts (previous years)

My friend is running the half-marathon the first weekend in January. She invited a few of us to go to Disney with her and wants to book like rightthissecond. I refuse to pay full price when I know there will be discounts released and I was wondering if anyone on this board has done the January marathon and received a discount on the dining plan and park tickets and, if so, what the discount was. We have a party of 8 (7 adults and 1 child) plus an infant. We'd be getting two rooms.

In past years, the disney marathon prices have been the worst ones out there. There are no ticket discounts for the January marathon (just the Wine and Dine and Princess 1/2 marathons); last year they gave everyone who completed the full a free park admission that had to be used on the following Monday. They do not offer discounts on the dining plan as part of the marathon package.

Book the room rate now. They're not very good at all, but they're better than nothing. Then if someone else comes out, you can switch. If you want a hard to get room (like a villa) you'll definitely want to book it as you may not get one under a discount.
