Hey everyone! My boyfriend and I are going to Disney Feb. 14-19! I've only been in the summer (July/August) so I'm not sure what to expect in February. I know it will be crowded but I'm used to the crowds from going in the summer. What's the weather like? Any special events during that time? Any tips for Disney during that time? Thank you!

I haven't been in February, but I've been in Mid-March. We needed sweatshirts or jackets at night, but during the day was ok. All Ears has a section with average highs and lows. The Princess half marathon starts the 18th, but otherwise there's nothing on the calendar.

i have been looking at first week in feb and as far as i could see crowds are low upto around the 12th then pick up, and weather variable from cold to warm so mix of clothes needed.

February is one of the least crowded times of the year. That being said, attendance has been higher than in the past especially at Magic Kingdom. The weather varies wildly. It could be low 70's, could be low 50's, or anywhere inbetween. The temperature does drop at night. Don't trust the forecast when packing, it's not reliable. Wearing layers is the best option. Have fun!

That is Presidents Day week. First part of trip will be crazy crowded. In general it will be warm days and cool nights...layered clothing is a must. We will be there Feb 7th-13th, parks shut down a bit earlier but we are early risers so no big deal. Love Disney any time of year, except Summer of course. Have Fun !!!

It's true that February is one of the least crowded times of the year, but be careful with President's day weekend. My wife and I made the mistake of going around President's day on our honeymoon and I was shocked at how crowded it was. Looking at the calendar, it looks like your dates might include President's day, so be careful. As others have said weather is unpredictable. Bring and wear layers of clothing because temperatures can change drastically day to day or even hour to hour. Have a good time.:)

I'd don't know about other states, but in many parts of NY, that is Mid-Winter Break week and many families go to Disney during Presidents' Day week. I've been during that week. It's crazy crowded and I won't do it again any time soon.

Early February is very nice but you're going over Presidents Day weekend which means both the attendance and the resort rates take a huge boost. I don't think you'll see the crowds looking that much different in than in Summer. The only difference is that it will be much cooler. Also, it's not uncommon for a few rides to be down for maintenance during the winter months. They try to do all of their regular upkeep during these months so they can have all the rides at full capcity for the Summer and Christmas seasons.

I've been 3 times in recent years during the week before Presidents Day and agree with PP, the weather can be pleasant or cold. 2012, I had two VERY cold mornings (like starting out in the 30s) but the latter part of the trip was beautiful, average weather (lows in 50s, highs in 70s), and no precip at all. 2013, beautiful the whole week, no rain, 50s for lows, 70s for highs. 2014, two cool days that dripped rain off and on all day, but nothing a hoodie couldn't handle and nothing you couldn't wear socks and sneakers in - and once the 2 drippy days were done, beautiful weather again. (I went from morning to evening at MK on a drippy day and did fine; when my AK day was drippy, I got tired of it and bailed out around 2 pm. Between that and being caught in an April deluge this year, I'm convinced AK is the worst park for rainy days.)

We went that week last year and it was really really crowded.

Coming from the Northeast we enjoyed the weather though!

We've been in February the past 2 years and the weather was gorgeous both times. A little chilly in the mornings and evenings (light jacket needed for our littles) but beautiful during the day. The first time we had an entire week at Disney without a single drop rain!!

Thanks for all of the information. I will be going on a girls only trip in February and this will be the first time going in February (have been there in January, March, May, June, August, September, October, and December). We will be there from 2/1-2/5 so I am glad to hear that the first couple of weeks aren't as crowded.

The first and last week in February are usually the best, but right around Valentine's Day and (as stated above) President's Day it gets crowded. Really crowded. We made a an additional weekend trip ON Valentines Day this past year and the comparison between the crowds was extremely noticeable.

The first few two or three days of your trip fall on those holidays, so I'd suggest hitting the less crowded parks first and schedule your Magic Kindgdom days later during your visit. The weather is usually beautiful during the day in February in comparison to many other months, so you should be fine there :) The nights can be a bit cool (I'd guess somewhere in the 50's), so I'd suggest planning on bringing a sweater and some pants for evening firework viewings.

Hands down though, I'd say that any time in February is a nicer time to visit than July or early August, so enjoy your trip!

That's the exact week have gone the past 2 years and it is absolutely fabulous! We have 2 little girls and I am not kidding that one night we did Enchanted Tales with Belle 4 times in a row with no wait because they were having so much fun playing all the parts.

We are headed there in February too. It may be cool temps, but it'll be a heck of a lot warmer than here in Canada! :flower:

That is awesome, my BF that I am going with has only been to WDW in July (they usually go 4th of July week), this will be the first time she will be there during a least crowded and cooler time of year. She will be so stoked seeing the all the differences between the different times of year :goodvibes.
