My husband and I are going to WDW Dec. 17-23. We were wondering how bad the crowds are, and some good strategies for seeing and doing the usual but also taking in the Christmas extras. :listen:

The 17th through the 21st... not very busy. After that, "Nightmare on Main Street". ;)

We went during the same week (Dec. 17-22) in 2005, and we went Dec. 19-23 in 2004. Really, it's the perfect time. But yes, it gets busier toward the end of the week.

Be sure to catch the tree lighting ceremony at Epcot. It's around sunset every evening (check the time guides). We just happened upon it, while walking around the world showcase, and I thought it was beautiful!

We were there 12/17-12/26 last year and the crowds didn't get too bad until Christmas eve. We stayed out of the parks on Christmas day. The dates you're talking about should be okay.
