Disney Idiosyncrasies

I love this thread!

I never knew we were so predictable.

1) Always start at Mk. Have to see my castle!

2) Crystal Palace first table service meal. (Dinner first night or if late arrival then breakfast or lunch the first full day)

3) We always come down Main Street, get a pic and go straight or to the left. We hit Small World or Pirates as our first ride every time. We never go to the right to Tomorrowland for some reason. We make it there eventually of course but have never gone there early.

4) Always buy a pin with the year on it and always buy one with the resort we are staying at

5) Pack the heavy pins we have collected them and then never wear them around Disney. We display them in the room somehow. Love when the resort rooms have those hooks for them! Have thought about not packing them but just can't do it!

6) In Epcot always get fastpass for Soarin and ride test track first.

7) In Ak always get into park early with Donald's bfast, ride Safari and go to the 10am (i think) Lion King show. Rest of the schedule varies but that stays the same! Why??? I have no idea.

8) Always decide on what our next resort will be before leaving.

9) Always end in MK.

In WDW, Pirates is always the first ride from the time I was a little kid.

In DL Pirates is always the last ride before leaving

I only ride the Jungle Boat Cruise at night

I always go to MK first.
I always eat my first lunch at Cosmic Rays by Sonny Eclipse.
I go to the parks in a specific order. MK. EP. DHS. AK. EP. MK.

Our last morning always begins with breakfast at Ohana. The kids even say that they have a love/hate relationship with Ohana..they love it, but it does mean it's the day we leave.

We, ok, *I* have to take a million pics of the castle.:confused3

We collect pins, and if we ride a new ride...we buy a pin of the ride. Last year dd rode dinosaur and it scared her to pieces. But, adding the pin to her lanyard made it work it. DS rode ToT, of course we bought a million things to go with this because myself, dhm and ds rode it for the first time.

We buy a Christmas ornament to go on the tree. THIS is buy far my fave. I could spend hours in Christmas stores.

My kids LOVE Splash and big thunder of course...but, the boat taxi holds a special place in hearts.

I think that may be it.

OMG! I almost forgot about our ornaments! We buy one with the year and then just a decorative one! Our tree is all disney!

Always do CP before the park opens one day so we can ride Dumbo.

Always watch every parade even though we say we're going to skip them and do rides :rotfl2:

Always get the photopass and never order pictures.

Do you have secret and not-so-secret habits that you do at Disney Parks or in planning your trips? I mean the kind that don't bother people, and the ones that drive them crazy!:headache: Like always riding the monorail first, or wearing the same Mickey Mouse socks for 20 years! I personally don't have anything to add, but I would love to hear some responses!:rotfl:

-Disney Pins - I get enjoyment figuring out how I want to display them on my lanyard each trip. I always change them around. DH thinks I am crazy.

-Disney Ears -I added crystals to my ears. I always have to wear them at least once while at MK. Then I also have regular ears for other days. I make DH wears his at least once too. He is kind like that. I love my ears!

- I always have some private words of thanks to Walt when I walk by the Partners statue.

-Ok...here is my true crazy confession. Before going on a trip (like months in advance), I will start counting Mickey antenna toppers. I set a target number to reach, and if I surpass that by the time I enter the WDW gates, it means "good luck" will come to our trip. Yes, this is TRULY crazy stuff! My husband makes so much fun of me. (It's good that we live in S. Florida where there are plenty of ears...yet not statically speaking the numbers have gone down now that less cars have antennas.) :dance3:

I always break out my collection of WDW t-shirts when we go. I keep them in good condition and its fun because a lot of the more long-term CMs know exactly what year each shirt is from.

After walking into MK I always have to take a minute on Main Street and just look up at the castle. At that very moment I have an overwhelming feeling of peace but yet excitement at the same time. princess: Here are some of the other things that we have to do everytime:

I take a ba-jillion pics of my daughter on the balcony/patio of every resort and every line we are standing in.
We have to ride It's a Small World - NO MATTER WHAT::yes::
I have to get a rootbeer & chocolate float from the ice cream shop on Main Street.
I have to get something from Casey's.
I have to walk thru the Art of Disney at DTD.
I have to go through the "garage sale" as we call it (the shop attached to the Winnie the Pooh store at DTD.
My daughter & I usually always wear the same color of shirt.

I could go on & on.....:mickeyjum

I always ride Splash for my first ride in the MK.

I always have a little happy cry (from behind my sunglasses!) when I go into the MK first time of the trip

I always buy a new earring/necklace set

I can't believe I forgot this one! I ALWAYS buy a new shot glass on each trip. I look for very unique ones. My favorite so far is a gold-rimmed small one with a Mickey-head made out of red rhinestones.

We always go to MK first.
Our last TS meal is always with the princess in Norway at Epcot.
Our last trip I started our first TS meal at 1900 Fair with Cinderella and ended with princesses in Norway. That way we would begin and end with princeses!!!

Its the search for souvenirs. A shot glass, the perfect hat and a digital Mickey watch that they only sell in some resort shops. Sometimes I have to hunt for it. The battery dies after a couple of years and once you replace it it isnt water resistant anymore, so I need a new one everytime we go. Drives my wife crazy.

1-I must do a drinks around the world in the afternoon/evening and watch illuminations.

2-I must have a cob salad for lunch at the Brown Derby.

3-I will only ride the monorail to/from the MK.

4-For an evening at the MK I do a drink around the monorail with a stop at WL.

5-I must see The Magic The Memories and You

6-I must make sure I have all the park music that's available for sale

7-I must buy a pin.
