Disney Hollywood Studios: ALL POSTAL!!!!

Thanks, I think out ACM cleared it all out too. I saw it awhile ago but didn't know we would be visiting. I will go look tomorrow anyway!:)

Great job, NemoMom!!

I'm done with my last group except for one thing that I'm waiting to arrive in the mail! I'm hoping it'll get here this week, and then I'll be postal as soon as it's here!!

I have a question for Group A - My topic is Rock and Roller Coaster and I had been thinking for one of my elements I would do an altered CD. Does anyone have a problem if I use an actual CD? Usually I just do a cardstock circle, but for this theme I just think the real thing would be much more appropriate. It will still be embellished and all, but you'll be able to tell that it was a CD. (Just promise not to laugh when you flip the element over and you see what the CD originally was in its other life. I have some strange stuff I have saved to alter.)

Oooh this sounds neat! I can't wait to see them. And no way am I promising not to make fun of you!! DH is major 80's fan...I make fun of him all the time.

That sounds really neat! Im in A1 so I dont get one but I cant wait to see it!

For my Great Movie Ride I made toppers and marquees. I am putting paper pictures on them but not attaching them just so you can see what I was going for. You can keep the images if you want but again, its just computer paper to be tossed.
I hope that makes sense and I hope you all like them. I couldnt replicate the inside sign and couldnt find a picture of what I was going for so I tried to go for a time period. Hope thats ok?
I should be postal by Wednesday at the latest.

I'm in Group A, I've never received an altered CD, so it would be great to see one - and appropriate for your topic.

I also can't promise to not laugh. I hope it's not Tom Jones  or Barry Manilow :lovestruc - I don't want to have to unalter the CD so I can play them. :rolleyes1 (me whistling "It's not unusual") :lmao:

Great, thanks for the go-ahead with the CD idea.

Ahh, see it's not music for the most part. I think I only have to raid my music stash for one CD. I used to bring home advertisements/instructional CD-roms I get at work (ie pharmacy junk mail) for altering "someday." We'll see who gets the one labeled "Dry Mouth Reference Guide." :rolleyes1 I'm sure you'll want to unalter it to be able to play it.

:lmao: That's like one time I asked to borrow a pen from a friend, and she handed me a pen that had advertising for one of those syphilis meds - the one that's on tv - and I looked at, and said, "um... something you want to tell me?" :rolleyes1 And she said, "no, why?" I asked, "why do you have a pen with a syphilis med ad on it????" She was mortified - she said that she got the pen for free at the DR office, but had no idea what it was for. She immediately threw it away. Then she said, "no wonder the lady behind me at the grocery store kept staring while I was filling out my check." :scared1: :rotfl2:
