Disney has ruined other vacations

:goodvibes Now I'm intrigued...what does this mean?

We don't go to the parks - they are stale, in our eyes, and we can't justify spending the money for them when they are a shell of their former selves. So, we spend our time at WDW swimming, visiting Disney Springs (we could spend an entire day at Splitsville...my kids consider THAT the vacation), mini golfing, monorail riding, arcades, resort hopping, hanging at Fort Wilderness, having good meals, Boardwalk, etc. We really take it easy at WDW.

We love it - it's easy, relaxing, peaceful, low-key, and fun. Not to mention easy on the budget!

Do you live close, or do you travel from Minnesota to do that? Maybe I missed it, do you have DVC?

I couldn't travel to WDW without going to the parks. All that other stuff you mentioned wouldn't be worth the time and money it takes to get there for us.

Thanks for that. I never would have thought about going there without actually going there, but I guess it makes sense. :wave2:

No - we do live in MN. I have a ton of airline miles and Orlando flights are pretty damn cheap from here. So, we usually fly for free. No DVC...we go with where the best deal is. We are staying at Pop in November...got 4 nights for under $375. My 2 nights in Duluth, MN in 2 weeks is costing me about $320.

It only takes about 2.75 hours to get there. We love the airport, so we don't mind hanging there for a bit for flights. I can wake up at 5am and be at Disney by 11am...it's all good for me!

Pre kids, we used to fly down for 2 - 3 nights, too. Fly out after work on a Wednesday, come back home on Saturday. Like I said, getting to anywhere from MN, driving, takes 3 hours, minimum, anyway. If I can be in Florida in not much longer than that...sign me up!
