can I use disney gift cards from BJ's to pay maint fees. and how do I do it if I can?

I assume you can use cards purchased at BJs I've used Disney gift cards to pay my dues. You just have to call member services accounting and read them the numbers on the back of the card. They've been very patient as I've sometimes had to read 5 or more cards to them.

Yes, you can use BJ's purchased disney gift cards to pay mFee. As already stated you must call MS. You currently can not use disney GC to pay on line.

Good luck.:)

I used about 5 gift cards to pay this year. Some were from rebates, and 2 were from attending Wyndham presentations LOL (my other timeshare). I call in to do it. There was a problem, as the person tried to enter the American Express gift cards as debit cards, when they go in as regular cards.

I have also used the disney gift cards bought at BJs to pay annual dues.

Do you earn BJ's reward points for purchasing Disney gift cards?

I've always been jealous of those who can get the extra savings at Target by purchasing Disney gift cards with their Red Card. But I'm not going to apply for a new credit card to get it.

My only credit card is our Disney Visa. I earn 2% Disney reward dollars on the Visa by using it to pay DVC dues directly.

Chase categroizes BJ's as a wholesale club and not a grocery store, so it only earns 1% for Disney reward dollars. But if I can combine that 1% with 2% in BJ's reward dollars, that would be worth dealing with the gift cards to pay dues.

Oops, should have looked before posting. The answer to my question was right on the BJ's web site.

Rewards are 2% of the net, pre-tax amount of purchases of qualifying merchandise made through the front-end registers at BJ’s Club locations and online at BJ’s web site, www.bjs.com, (excluding shipping, handling, delivery and installation charges, as applicable) by active BJ’s Rewards Members at the time eligible purchases are accrued. (The purchasing transaction must be initiated with the Member’s BJ’s Rewards Membership Card or BJ’s Rewards Membership Number. Rewards will NOT be calculated on purchases:
  • of cigarettes or other tobacco-related products
  • of alcoholic beverages
  • that are NOT recorded through BJ’s front-end registers for in-Club purchases, such as BJ’s Specialty Services (including, but not limited to, auto buying program, cellular phone services, custom embroidery, optical, purchases at BJ’s Gas® stations and food courts and travel)
  • of Membership Fees, of Gift Cards and of Gifts of Membership
  • or miscellaneous fees, bottle deposits, lottery sales and taxes, including sales tax
  • that are prohibited by legal or regulatory restrictions
  • made by anyone other than the BJ’s Rewards Membership Primary and Household Cardholder, or the BJ’s Rewards Business Membership Primary and first Supplemental Cardholder
  • made using an expired BJ’s Rewards Membership Card, where the Rewards Membership fee has not been received for the current period.

Although I do wonder if this means BJ's gift cards, and possibly not Disney gift cards. I know Target considers those merchandise instead of gift cards.

Oh, something just occurred to me. Maybe I'm being too dense.

Does BJ's sell Disney gift cards for less than face value?

I believe the Disney $100 GC is $95.99. So you save $ 4.01 per card.

Did you know you can get a Target Red Card linked directly to your checking account so it acts like a debit card. So you don't need to open a new credit card. I just did this last week, took ask of 5 minutes and a blank check. You still get the 5% off disney gift cards, plus you can order them online and get free shipping with the red card.

I haven't actually ordered them, but they show up as available to put in your online cart. Maybe you don't get the 5% of online?
