Disney Gift Cards at Sam's with $10 Bonus Disney Store

I just wanted to share that I did find them last night at the Hickory, NC location. The lady working at customer service said they had them in the back and they were shrink wrapped on a pallet with the display board. I was able to get 18 of them with no problem to pay for our trip. We were going anyway so the $10 bonus cards are just free. They looked at me a little odd when I said I needed 18 but they sold them to me with no problem.

According to the sales flyer that came in today's paper, Winn Dixie has $5 off $50 gc up to $300 on Fri. & the Disney gc is shown in the photo.

Wanted to update. I just used all 18 of them to pay for our trip. I got the nicest guy on the phone. He just laughed and said well this was a new one. He had never had anybody use 18 gift cards but all I had to do was read each number off to him. I was really skeptical but so glad I did buy them. Thanks to the OP for posting this. Now to use the bonus ones. That might be interesting!

We have a Disney store but I guess I didn't read the fine print on the front of the package! My Sams had a huge display of these.

What gc is this good for?

Theo photo on the flyer shows the same gc I used in the parks last week. The one w/ Mickey's arms in the air & the top 3/4 has blue background then a gold swipe w/ mickey head & red bottom quarter & the cardboard hanger reads Shop, Dine, Stay, Play

The Winn Dixie ad reads:*"customer saves $5 on every purchase of $50 or more on gift cards in a single transaction up to $300"

Does that mean if you buy 2 $50 gc in one $100 transaction you only get $5 off ?, instead of $5+$5=$10?

Used the bonus cards today... All 23 of them.

The store manager thought there might be a problem because in the past their system only let them use 6 cards at a time.

No problem at all. Our total came to $224 and change, they swiped the cards one after the other after the other after the other until they were all in. Then they even gave me $5 and the change back IN CASH!

Black Friday had some good sales on in the store (not on dresses unfortunately) but a good sale on top of $230 in free money makes for a great time.

Now all we have to do is make sure it works as well using the 23 cards to pay for the meal plan!

Thanks for the help and advice all!

Chris

You won't have a problem using them at the front desk of the hotel. They are used to it and will not give you any problems with it.

I wanted to update that I had this "great" idea to go do Christmas shopping and use the bonus gift cards. The Disney store is a hour and half away but I convinced myself that I could do alot of Christmas shopping to warrant the trip. I used my 18 gift cards but it took over an hour for me to checkout and that was after the manager LOUDLY asks me where I got the cards from. I felt almost as if I was a criminal. After the 7th card the register froze and they had to cut it off. The problem was it appeared that the 7 cards had already been redeemed so they had to call "rescue rangers" to solve the problem. They then had to start over on a different register and ring things up individually so that they didnt have to use over 2 gift cards each time. It was horrible. The manager said these were not actual Disney gift cards and since they were a promotion their registers had problems with them. It was the craziest thing I have ever dealt with.

That's crazy! The manager should have been apologizing to you!--NOT asking you loudly where you got them. :sad2:

We are off to WDW and DCL in a few days! :woohoo: I think I'll estimate our dining costs, etc and buy some of these GCs! I'm sure I can figure out a way to spend those Disney Store GCs when we get back!

Has anyone tried calling the # on the Disney Store Bonus cards to try and transfer all of the $10 amounts to one card?
That way you could use the entire amount for a purchase online.

I'm so sorry if it's been asked, I'm planning a last minute trip & have so many threads to read, but does anyone know if these can be used at the Disney outlet ~ Character Premier??

Black Friday had some good sales on in the store (not on dresses unfortunately)

If you are still looking for dresses. JcPenneys today has them on sale for 9.99 each where they were originally 39.99. You can also enter in the code 4relves and get an additional 20% off. They looked really nice and I ordered quite a few. It is one of the Wednesday deal on JcPenneys online. There is free shipping if you send it to a store as well. The only sizes I saw available for them is the 4-6x so again hopefully that helps.

ok to get it at the sale price you have to follow the link. Again I haven't posted enough to meet those requirements. There is another posting on this same part of the forum for these dresses with the link. www4.jcpenney.com/jcp/XGN.aspx?DeptID=70735&CatID=72559&SO=0&Ne=904+1031+4&shopperType=G&N=4294953072&Nao=21&PSO=0&x5view=1&CmCatId=external|72559&cm_mmc=LinkShare-_-AFF-_-Mktg-_-Ad I am trying it without the http// part to see if it will go through.

I got some last week. As long as each gift card value is $50 or less, you get $5 of each $50 worth. I bought 6 50$ Disney gift cards for $270. :woohoo: (I originally tried to put $300 on one card and it only gave me $5 so I had the cashier void it and went back to get 5 more cards, then it worked right). Going back today for more. The gift cards can be used at WDW, DL and DCL.

Wanted to let you all know my gc worked great all throughout the parks + World of Disney. Only wish I'd seen these back when we booked our trip!! Now I just have to use my bonus cards online b/c there's no Disney store around.

Good to know.
I want to go back & get enough to pay our DVC annual dues.
I only wish Winn Dixie had ChickFilA or Nintendo or Sony Reader cards, then I'd have my Christmas list finished!
