Disney Gift Cards at Sam's with $10 Bonus Disney Store

Can these cards be used at the Disney outlets? That's where I usually go to stock up for tee shirts and stuff before the trip. I also use the online DS and have a regular one, but it's more attractive to me if I can use them at the outlet.

I called to use 18 gift cards towards my trip balance and the agent was surprised to say the least. It took a while on the phone but applied 18 cards towards one of my reservations to pay off the balance in full. I did discover that you can apply one at a time on the automated phone system- any more and you get put in the 'live operator' queue. I might do one at a time that way next time so I won't have the long hold time...

I bought 7 to pay off our cruise. I'll go back and buy some more to pay off our land portion. So far, I have $90 in free gift cards. I used my Visa points card to buy a Walmart gift card and then went to Sams and bought the Disney cards. Free $10 gc, $100 gc for $98 + points?! Win-win!

I bought another 17 over the weekend.

I have now used them to pay my DVC dues, pay for our "kids stay free" package and additional AP room for our March trip, and I have some reserved for DBF and my AP's.

Grand total: $300 in bonus cards.

But, for some reason, I just can't seem to bring myself to spend them on a new D&B purse for me.

I bought one of these cards from Sam's yesterday. I just used it online to make a payment on our December trip. I'm going to go back and get a few more. I've also been buying some gift cards from Kroger because they give me extra gas points and it has been making my gas a lot cheaper! Thanks DIS members for these ideas!

Was at local Sam's in Dallas, TX today and they had new 'holiday' gift card displays up. They had $25 and $50 Disney cards for a few pennies under their retail value but no other 'bonus' like last year. They did have a $75 card that comes with a unique 3-D Vinylmation pin. Cannot remember how many designs of pins were available but it was certainly in the double digits. You can see what pin you're are getting before you buy. I was thinking the $10 bonus card from Christmas 2010 was too good to come back this year and unfortunately it looks like I was right.

If anyone sees anything contrary to this, please share... I'm not into vinylmation or too many pins so please don't ask for details on the pins because I wouldn't know how to answer...

I am excited that I found some of these at the Sams in Columbia, Mo I just got 3 for now for our upcoming March trip. I will hopefully go back this weekend and get a few more if they still have them. There really wasnt a whole lot left.

The Disney Gift cards can be use anywhere you normally shop for disney (any store operated by disney) just like cash, but the bonus card is only good at the disney store or online. I tried using them at an outlet store and they said no. I noticed another poster on here said they did use them there The cast member even tried to swipe mine there and they wouldn't work, so wonder if it was really considered an outlet or a store Also,FFWRX, I called the ph # on the back of the bonus card and it also said they could not help at this time (a non-person I also went online to their site and they answered me like a robot with the message to just call the ph # on back of card for the balance. I emailed them back saying that's exactly what I did and that's why I went online and never heard back from them

Question about the bonus card. I got a couple of these and used the regular card to pay down my balance. I went to the Disney gift card website to check the balance of the bonus card (people complained they weren't activating) and it says error. I called the number on the back and it keeps telling me to try again later. Did my bonus card not activate?

I have never been able to use the phone or online balance checker site to be able to give a balance on the Disney Store cards, but have been using them in store and online for the last year without any problems. Just make sure you keep track of what you purchase with them, especially if purchasing online since sometime Disneystore.com turns out to be out of stock of some items. If you do purchase online, you need to call in the additional gift cards since you can only enter one online.

I haven't tried them online yet, just bought them this week. Some SAMs still have them. Bought mine in Bowling Green, KY if anyone is interested. They had about 10 left after I got mine.

I just went to the Sam's in Appleton, WI and all they had were the bonus pins for $75. There were no $100 giftcards. I bought 8 of the $50 cards for $48.88 each. Not much of a savings but it's something. Although we did have to purchase our membership but the checkout lady told me to come back in with the receipt anytime and they would give me my full refund for the membership. ???

I bought 17 at the Peoria, illinois, store in September. I have looked for the past two months and didn't see any. I did see pin bonus gift cards, but haven't even seen them within the last month.

Our Sam's has these - but I'm a little unsure how I can use them. The fine print on the bonus card looked like it could be tricky to use. Can I use the regular ones to pay off our vacation package?
