Disney Gift Cards at Sam's with $10 Bonus Disney Store

I'm not quite clear on this-can someone help me out? I am planning to pay the balance on my trip soon (I have it saved up but have to actually call and pay yet). If I was to buy, say, 20 GC's, could I call Disney and pay over the phone with those, like I would with my Visa? :confused3

Yes, you can call and just read the gift card numbers off the back of the card. Thats what I did. It just took a little bit of time to read them but the guy was extremely nice and just laughed about it being so many gift cards. I would read the number and he would enter it and then say okay that one was for $100 and then we would do the next one.

Good to know.
I want to go back & get enough to pay our DVC annual dues.
I only wish Winn Dixie had ChickFilA or Nintendo or Sony Reader cards, then I'd have my Christmas list finished!

Can you use them from DVC dues? Have you done that before? I'd lvoe to know if anyone can confirm, I'll have to go buy more!

I got some last week. As long as each gift card value is $50 or less, you get $5 of each $50 worth. I bought 6 50$ Disney gift cards for $270. :woohoo: (I originally tried to put $300 on one card and it only gave me $5 so I had the cashier void it and went back to get 5 more cards, then it worked right). Going back today for more. The gift cards can be used at WDW, DL and DCL.

Any idea how long this promotion is running - do they give an end date in the ad?

I found out the same thing. I tried to put $300 on 1 card and it only gave me $5 off. When I separated it out to 6 $50 cards it gave me $5 off each! The cashier had no problem doing several transactions of $300 each so I got quite af few of these.

Thank you ! As it turned out, I called my Sams and was told, they have none and none were on order  Perhaps they are only carried regionally? I was disappointed.
We don't have winn Dixes here. Ironically, there is a Disney store about 15 minutes away

I just used our bonus shopping cards online to get my DD the snowglobe she was wanting from DHS!!!! So, as it turns out, we essentially got to use ALL of our cards + bonus cards for Disney Parks items :cool1: I only wish we'd bought more cards at Sam's before our trip! :cheer2:

I am in the Houston area and can not find any of these cards at Sams. Has anyone in the area had luck finding these? If so, which Sams location? We have DVC taxes due and a trip coming up!

Our SAMS had a TON of them (Las Cruces NM..65 miles away) I had already purchased the one I wanted to give as a gift at the Disney outlet store, but still bought a couple..little bit of a discount and the $10 bonus is nice..I kind of wished I would have bought more...I can never have too many Disney cards...

My mom was looking at the Sam's club in Exton, PA and couldn't find them, not to mention the store clerks had no idea what she was talking about.....even though I, personally, saw them there on Black Friday!!!! So, I went to my Sam's club located in Franklin Mills...Philadelphia, PA and they were not with the regular gift cards so I thought they were gone......found them on the end cap of an aisle where the books are????? Anyways, I bought 2 for my mom to give to us for Christmas.....and the kids for their birthdays...she'll just pay me back. I didn't want to chance sending her back to her Sam's and causing confusion. I think I'm going to go and buy one more to pay for our 2 OOP TS meals. You can use the $100 for ANYTHING DISNEY, but the $10 one is ONLY for Disney Store or Disney Store.com......do you think this includes World of Disney at DTD??? not sure..hmm..

Thanks for the idea! I just called MS accounting and they confirmed that annual dues can be paid by gift cards. No limit on how many cards you can use. I'm heading to Sam's after work tomorrow for some more gift cards. I see a new D&B purse under my tree.:wizard:

You can not use the bonus gift card at World of Disney, only the regular Disney Store. I bought 10 cards for my November trip and used them to pay for the dining plan when I checked in. The CM didn't have a problem with the numerous cards. At least he didn't give any indication he minded.

My Sam's still had some yesterday (they had been put with the regular gift cards), so I bought some with the cash I had to pay my balance for my resort when I check in. Now I have another $30 to spend at the Disney Store sometime in the future.

Ok,

I'm actually making a stop at a mall prior to the airport this Thursday before our trip. The mall has a Disney Store Outlet. Do we know if the free cards can be used there??

Do they still sell park tickets at Disney Stores? I also have a Disney Store in the local mall and I can go there as well if I can't take care of everything at the outlet.

Finally....I know we can only use 3 methods of payment for purchasing a ticket. Lets say my ticket is just under $250...can I use 3 $100 gift cards and retain the remaining balance for future purchase.

Thanks!!! This is a last minute trip, just planned everything about a week ago so I'm sort of scattered trying to save some $$$.

Yes, you can use the regular gift cards to pay for your ticket at the Disney Store, but you can not use the free $10 gift cards on the park ticket.

My Sams still had these tonight when I was there so I bought some for my Dream cruise next weekend (I know that onboard account is going to see some action this time - lol).

Anyway, has anyone successfully used the Disney Store card at the Orlando Airport Disney Store? TIA

Which Sam's Club still has them? I'd love to get my hands on some more. It's amazing how fast the first 13 of mine went.

I don't think they would work at the Disney Store at the airport. Their merchandise seems to match the merchandise in the parks, not what is in the Disney Stores.

I'm in Southeastern lower Michigan. I guess I'll use my free cards online.

Thanks

I found 20 of them @ a Sam's in Dallas,TX this week. That was all the stock they had on display. They were located at a generic gift-card display at the front of the store. It was not the Disney-centric one that was pictured earlier. Going to the World and on a cruise on the Dream in May and this will put a nice dent in my remaining balance and give my daughter some nice stuff from the Disney store...
