Disney Gift Card = free gas

A regional grocery store chain around Ohio is offering a deal on Disney gift cards. You have to be a member of Giant Eagle (its free as I recall). For every $50 Gift Card bought you get $0.20 off per gallon of gas at their Get Go stations.

We figure that we'll get $300-350 in free gas by buying cards there to pay for our vacation package. This saved cash goes into our Disney fund for our trip.

Anyone know of any other or better deals for gift cards currently? We want to maximize any savings or credits we can.

I was just there on Thursday and didn't see that they had upped their fuelperks for the Disney gift cards to $.20!

I just told DH when I got back from the store that whenever they go back up to $.20 for each $50 that we'll buy enough to pay off the balance of our trip ($1200) since we'll save so much on gas... and gas is SOOOO expensive.

Must just be at your local one. We live in Pittsburgh area and I was there yesterday, it was only .10 off extra for every gift card $50 and over. We had that deal a few weeks ago though, maybe I missed the boat.

Our local Giant Eagle had $0.20 savings on gift cards before Easter but it is back to $0.10 savings for every $50 spent now. Hopefully, Disney gift cards will be $0.20 savings at your store.

A way to better the offer is to charge the cards on the Disney Visa(1%) or even better yet a 3-5% cash back grocery card. If you charge $1500 in Disney cards at Giant Eagle on one of those card and get cash back, you can get up to another $75 toward the trip.
