Thanks! Trip was amazing. We were def lucky. I heard at other resorts due to their structure things were not as "magical". I did find out I could add days to the PH tickets- I told ppl I chatted with about that and a few took the PHs instead, but we decided to stay an extra night on our Beach Club portion. making our trip 2 weeks so we could do our missed MNSSHP. They gave us our upgraded poolside room at standard AP rate and we got our airfare changed without having to pay the upcharges. While I miss those tickets for DD and DH, I'm so glad we went and got to wear our family HM costumes - they even took pics of us for the employee scavenger hunt! I spent all my gc. So now I'm back at square one. DH said we could take our 10yr anniversary trip there in march over a long weekend so I'm plotting. Plus I need to book next October so will need the reservation funds for that.

I need to say a HUGE thank you to this thread I started reading it end of last year and spent about a couple months researching before committing my money. I saved $2000 on this trip which was budgeted at $7200 before adding the extra day. My sister hit a rough spot right before I left and needed some help. I had that $2000 I saved from this thread in my vacation account for next year and was able to give it to her. So really...thanks to your savings tips in the end I was able to do be there for her financially without issue.

I just cashed out ebucks but not wanting to deal with PPDG or BB I just ordered gc for Xmas presents which puts me close to being complete with all my Xmas shopping!

In that light... Kroger has 4x gc - but no coupon needed looks like - Date unspecified. They do have coupons for the Visa MC and AE 4x gc through 10/15 on the app

Has anyone here put in a request to have ebay refund them after never receiving the item, particularly a gift card? Is it a difficult process or pretty smooth and quick? I really wanted the gc to convert to Disney for our Nov trip but looks like I may have to wait a while if I'm ever going to get the money back if he never ships the gc. And, how would they give me the money back, in the ebucks or cash?

I've had issues twice - once when a UPS employee stole them during shipment and once when somehow somebody spent the eGCs that only me and PPDG supposedly had the numbers to.

The former situation was a nightmare. I had over a dozen calls and emails to the company (GiftCard Mall) with very little satisfaction (they resent 1 of the original 7 cards). Finally I got ebay involved and (after a handful more emails) was refunded the money via Paypal.

Dealing with PPDG was actually must easier. I explained the situation (directly to PPDG) and within a few days, I'd received a refund via Paypal.

Interestingly, ebay did not claw back the ebay bucks earned on either transaction.

I received an email from Kroger today that mentioned a 4x promo, but there were no dates given. I couldn't find a coupon either. Where are you seeing the 10/15 exp date?

Yes. Just went to kroger to get a few gift cards to give as actual gifts and notice the restaurant and movie theater restriction. I was still able to get at least 1000 points based off of my monthly needs and presents. There are some Starbucks and Landry and fandango in that as well for anyone looking for Disney.Also the dates are October 12 through October 25.

Target GC Update:

I just tried to buy a Dgc on Target.com w/ a Tgc - order went thru w/ the usual 5% of via RedCard account but then was auto-cancelled about 5 minutes later. I repeated the order and same thing. So I called Target.com cust svc and they said they have a new policy - you can no longer use Tgc's to buy other gc's - changed happened within last 90 days.

I guess time to switch to the WMgc/Sams.com approach.

Okay, looking for a bit of advice, as my churning 'luck' continues. As I wrote above, I bought a Target gc on ebay with DD26's 350 ebucks and then $50, for a $450 Target gc. I forgot to check the feedback first, and they have no feedback at all and only joined ebay in mid Sept. But everybody has to start with a first sometime. I contacted the seller, hoping to hear back some reassuring words. Well, I've heard nothing back from them yet, and that was very early Tues morning. It says they ship within 48 hours of receiving a cleared payment. I paid immediately and the paypal invoice said it notified the seller to ship. So far, the ship icon doesn't show as shipped though I know they still could have shipped it. Estimated arrival Oct 15 - Oct 20. Just not sure if I should be worried yet or not. I guess I have to wait til at least the shipping time has passed to contact ebay? And then how long does this process all take? How do I prove I never got it? I was thinking of trying to contact the seller again and mentioned that if I didn't hear back I would be contacting ebay for help. I do realize it hasn't been that long really, maybe i'm jumping to the wrong conclusion too early, but no answer doesn't seem good.
(I will say, I did google the person's name from the info at paypal and it didn't bring any confidence. If it's the same person I found in the same town listed as shipping from, I wouldn't want to meet or live near this person).

A few months ago the same thing happened to me although the seller had good feedback established. It was for a target gc just under $500. It never came and I filed a dispute with eBay and eBay ended up crediting my PayPal for the full amount. What surprised me was that I had paid for it with eBay bucks but they refunded it as cash to my PayPal which was awesome! I had to wait till the expected arrival date had passed to file the complaint and then wait the designated time (I think 7 or 14 days) to give the seller a chance to respond. But it really was no sweat- just had to wait it out. Hope you get your gc, but if not I hope it all works out smoothly for you.

Yep happened in the first week or so of August, but you can still buy Disney GC with Target GC in store. I did a few days ago at self-checkout. There is no way to stack the red card discount with a target GC purchase at this point. Anything you use to purchase with a target red card with receive the 5% discount though, including GC still.

@smellyia So glad you had such a great time! Very cool you can upgrade the one day hopper, definitely more value that way. Otherwise if you have 8 or 9 day tickets anyway, just adding the extra ticket for another day, the value isn't as good, but you get full value using the one day hopper to upgrade to another ticket with more days or an AP! Very nice you were able to help your sister out like that, all from your savings here, that's great!

I do remember reading about your problem with the UPS driver here, what a mess! Glad you finally got all your money back at least. Interesting that PPDG was so much easier to deal with, who woulda thought that, lol?

Thank you for sharing your experience, Minnie368! Was really hoping someone would have some info to share. Definitely sounds similar! Still can't believe I didn't look at feedback, I don't think I'd have purchased if I had. But, in your case, they had good feedback and you still had a problem. I'm so glad you had a great outcome after all! So, you waited till the time passed for delivery, for me, Oct 20th, and then you filed your complaint at Ebay then? Is there just a simple form to fill out? Do you have to somehow prove you didn't get the gc? Had you already emailed the seller and not gotten any response or did you not email them until after the expected arrival date? I've only emailed once so far, right after purchase. Wondering if I should go ahead and email again asking if they've been able to send, also wondering if I should mention I'll be filing then if I don't hear back or just email and then wait till after the 20th to mention that I'll be filing with ebay? I guess I'm assuming it won't come just because they have no feedback and haven't answered my first email, and it could easily still come. Of course, it will be best and easiest if the gc shows up this week and it's loaded with the $450 as expected! But, I have to say I wouldn't mind if they refunded as cash, that's awesome! And with no ebucks involved I could take that money to Target, use my RC and then make a payment on it to get another 5% off! Do you remember maybe about how long it was from purchase time to the time they refunded you? I suppose it's unlikely, unless it does show up, this will be resolved and/or refunded by our trip on Nov 12th, but still will be glad it won't be so hard and involved to do! @Minniekins Once I had passed the date I should've received it I went to the eBay desktop site, pulled up my purchase history, and then found that purchase and selected "more actions". Then chose "I did not receive my item". It takes you through emailing the seller and says if you don't hear back in 4 days you can ask eBay to step in and help. I did that after four days. What I don't remember is exactly how long it took after "eBay stepped in", but it wasn't long. When the seller never responded, eBay refunded the purchase. I think you may have time to get that $ back before your trip if everything happens as it did for me. In my case, the seller had no tracking information to back it up and did not fight it. I didn't have to prove anything. If your seller disputes it, I'm not sure what the next step would be.

Yes I have done this several times. Each time the cashier had never done it before, but there was no problem.

Did you ever contact the seller before you did when going thru the process of getting help from ebay? Yes I did email one time before the delivery date to ask when shipped or if there was any tracking info and got no response. I also emailed the morning of the first day I could file a claim and waited about 12 hrs for a response before opening it. No response then either.

Anyone get a $10 savings code from Best Buy in their email last couple weeks? It's targeted with a number & pin like the PPDG gc and doesn't seem to exclude gc. The expiration is 10/29. I almost deleted it and am so glad I didn't although I haven't tried it yet.
