Has anyone figured out shop your way points? I have an email for $5 in points for every $15 spent at top brands. When I click on the link target is a top brand. Then when I go to target it shows 1000+ points for a $100 Disney gift card. I wish I understood this better.

1000 points comes out to $1.00. I know you cannot use the points for gift cards. I used to follow their rewards more often, but a lot of the time it seemed to be hit or miss if they would award or not. A few months ago I had purchased some Sears gift cards because we were planning on getting a new dryer anyway. They had several offers that awarded 100% back in points or close to it (spend $15 get $15). I ended up using my gift cards towards these kind of offers and used the earned rewards to purchase the dryer. You just need to watch the expiration date for the rewards because a lot of the time the rewards earned for those bonus offers don't last long before they expire.

I've done this. There are 2 barcodes on the back, and the one I thought should have been the correct barcode wasn't. Holding your finger over the incorrect bar code (while obviously not covering any of the correct code) solved the problem.
Which barcode is the correct one to scan?

The machine would guide you which barcode. When I use self check out and I scan the wrong one first it won't recognize what it is. They it makes you scan the other one to activate.

That's for purchasing gift cards. We're talking about redeeming a target gift card. In my experience, you scan the small barcode in the top right corner to redeem.

Interestingly, Ebates posted 3% cash back to my account for a Disney Gift Card only purchase I made on disneystore .com over the weekend.

The order was just a $25 Disney Gift Card (the smallest denomination available) -- but comes with one of the special designs that aren't available on the $25/50/100 and variable load cards you find at most retail stores. I wanted to pick up a special design card onto which I'd consolidate all my Disney funds and distinguish from my stack of "TaDa Mickey" designed cards.

I'll see if the cash back sticks because I thought gift cards were excluded. 3% isn't much of a discount for this tip to be worth very much when we can get at least 5% off elsewhere. And because 3% cash back is less than 5% off, it only makes sense to get the smallest denomination available on disneystore .com ($25) if you want to pick your favorite design and buy the rest of your Disney funds wherever there's a better discount. So if it sticks, that's a whooping $0.75 saved on those special design Disney Gift Cards!

Kroger has a digital coupon for 4x fuel points on gift cards through 10/11. Haven't tried it out yet.

I THOUGHT it was the 11th!! My coupon has disappeared from my Kroger account. Drats! Was gonna use it today.

Edited . . . I did call Kroger. It seems their fuel points coupons are dropping a day early in error (same thing happened the last time they ran a promo). They said that if I buy gift cards today, just call and they will credit the points.

I still have the coupons on my app and am going after work. I hope I don't have to call in but if I do they always seem to make things right.

I've received 2% from SB for the same! I didn't even realize I went thru SB to make the purchase, but it credited today :)

Random Target GC question, but have people been able to still get the 5% Red Card discount when making a purchase with a target GC online? Not gift cards, I know that doesn't work, but actual merchandise?

Just tried to purchase Disney GC with a Target GC in store, and the system wouldn't accept my Target GC as payment. Employee told me this just changed... Hoping this was just my bad luck today, and not the new norm!

I have never been able to purchase a gift card with a Shopkicks GC through the self checkout. Every time a cashier has to suspend or cancel the transaction and ring it up on a different register where it works just fine.

Fingers crossed! Fwiw... So far I've seen one report where the computer system at a store was programmed not to accept gift cards for gift cards (it was over on the Disneyland board). The staff and manager tried for so long but the system refused the purchase. Maybe if you try a different Target, if you have another nearby, it will work?

I just bought $100 in Disney about 4 days ago. Paid $92 with Target GC and $8 with redcard. Sure hope things have not changed!

I need to catch up with this thread. We end up coming home early because of Matthew :(. Any big changes ? I got my ebucks certificate now I have to figure out what to do with that. I am glad to hear people that did stay were taken care of our experience at bay lake wasn't very good.
I saw that you had a not very good experience this past weekend, sorry your long awaited trip turned out that way. Seems that people at different resorts had very different experiences, but you should get basically the same good experience regardless, but each place seemed to have their own way of doing things. Hmm. Well, hopefully your next visit will be more full of some lovely pixie dust! Maybe a call or letter to guest services would be a good idea. Can't hurt anyway. Glad you did back all safe and sound though!

Thanks! It's been great. Here still for Hurricane Matthew since we have 12 days. Did switch BC check in to Sat and staying extra day at Contemporary. Parks have been low crowds and we have had awesome touring up until parks closed last night. Saw them close up the monorail doors. Eye is passed us. Resort is being awesome in taking care of its guests. They've got all the food places open and offering discounts and special plates at Chef Mickeys. The concierge gave me a day credit on account for park tickets missed today.
What's very awesome from a crappy turn is our MNSSHP tickets cancelled last night - we can get refunds OR 1 day Park Hoppers for 2 years! Those are worth $160 each!!!! I bought mnsshp on AP discount so that's double my money. I need to confirm I can upgrade the tix to multi-day but that's the way I'm going rather than cash refund.
Sounds like even though you had the bad luck of having a hurricane to deal with, things for your family worked out pretty good. Shows how different things were depending on where you stayed! Glad that part ended up working out. Curious if they will let you upgrade that one day ticket. Hopefully the rest of your trip has less weather drama, lol! Have fun!
