Boy, really hoping things haven't changed in regards to purchasing Disney gc's at Target. And, really I'm thinking they haven't, just got an uninformed sales person or it was just that store. And really hoping that is the case, as you'll see below, lol.
So, as many here, we had some ebucks to spend between myself, my DD26 and my friend. I got a Best buy gift card for mine, and with a few extra dollars, got $325 BB for $314, arrived today. Friend's ebucks, still looking for a Disney gc or a BB to just go buy the disney gc.
Then wee early hours of Tuesday morning, I was checking ebay before heading to bed, been checking often for deals or auctions, for either BB, Disney gc's, or Target gc's. So, I suddenly see a Target giftcard of $450 selling for $400, a pretty good deal. DD26 had 350 ebucks to use so I figured I'd add $50 and get that target gc. The listing looked pretty good, free shipping going out in two days when payment cleared. So, I paid quick figuring the new listing wouldn't last long at all, and was excited it was a good deal. After finishing paying, I realized that for the first time in forever I didn't first look at the feedback! Argh!
So, I went to look at feedback and the person has no feedback! They only just joined a month ago. Yikes! Don't think I'd have made the purchase if I had seen that first! Has anyone else purchased from someone with little to no feedback? I mean, people need to get started somewhere so any seller had no feedback at one point, doesn't mean it's not reliable or trustworthy, but it's making me nervous for sure! So, I did immediately email the seller expressing concern, and trying to be nice just trying to be cautious. I didn't try to cancel at all. I hoped to hear back but so far nothing! Hmm. I thought I'd hear something by now, but maybe as they posted the listing so late night/early morning, that's when they do their ebay stuff so maybe I'll hear by later this morning.
Hoping all goes well, it's estimated to be delivered by Oct 15 - Oct 20, by USPS Priority mail, coming from Louisiana.
With this big of a card, which I wasn't worried about being able to use in store to buy gc's, I'm hoping this all works out with a problem free delivery of my card and then being able to spend it. I know I could still use it in store to buy other things, but that's a lot of groceries, lol, so really hoping there's been no change on using gc to purchase Disney gc!
Also, anyone notice how many gc's list for prices over face value? Buy it now, which makes no sense. I looked at Walmart gc's and most all of them were like $50 or various amounts over, or even $500 for a $400 value card!! What the heck, why would anyone buy this? Even with ebucks, I know it'd still be free but that just seems ridiculous! Or the $450 cost for a $400 card, are they trying to trick people who just happen to read it wrong? Just makes zero sense and seems so wrong. A bit different than an auction that sneaks up higher, but blatantly charging a large amount over face value is so wrong and I don't understand why anyone would buy, and especially now as we can't get any ebucks on purchasing gc's.
