Disney Gift Card Deals

Since I need way more than I can churn through target in 6 weeks, I've just been buying Walmart GCs from raise and then buying the $500 from Sams. Only a 8.7% discount, but better than nothing. I've already got about $5k in Target/EBay so I needed an additional avenue.
The Sams cards say limit 3, can you just go back on the site the next day and purchase 3 more?

Yes this is what PP was saying to me. Target. Com is out of $100 Disney gc so I put 2 orders of $200 each plus a small item. Both orders were shipped and I didn't have any issues. I think there is more to the ban that just that. It can also mean that the cap is $500 on Disney gc total per day 3 $100 and 4$50 but since they were out of $100 they would let that slide?

Honestly I probably think that order history and how much gc purchases you have in your account is more relevant. For me this was only my second order of Disney gc in target. Com(third order that had a gc at all)in my account ever I see that as hardly being a reseller and we have our red card since 2008.
Yes I agree that in your case where you've had an account a long time and only ordered Disney gift cards twice probably would mean that even with a person manually reviewing your account it wouldn't probably raise any suspicion. I more was saying to Minniekins why many here would suggest not trying to avoid target's order limit on Disney GC. I think a lot of us fear that many who have recently joined the party might get a little too ambitious with their savings goal (especially if their vacation is coming up soon) and place lots of orders in a single day. So many duplicate orders of an item that target has restricted buying limits on could bring unwanted scrutiny. As @Marionnette likes to say "fly below the radar" :)

So not specifically a Disney gift card discount but as I know we have many avid target shoppers here thought I'd post a deal I got emailed to me regarding curbside. Obviously this only applies to stores that offer curbsideimage.png
I think this promo might be for already registered users
($10 off any purchase with no minimum). However (if anyone is new to curbside) I think they are always running the $10 off $20 for your first purchase. Really wish they would expand this program nationwide-I only get to use it when I am out of town but the timing on this latest promo was perfect! $10 saved on everyday items is $10 more in the Disney fund ;)

I tried sharing my spreadsheet before, but it didn't quite work. I think I figured it out now. I cleared out most of the content on mine, but put in two dummy fields so you can get an idea of how I use this spreadsheet. Just note, this is very highly customized to me and how I do my churning, so everyone will have different needs. But this may give you an idea of how a spreadsheet will help you stay organized.

Let me know if this link is working alright:

Jen was kind enough to share this a few weeks ago also. I used hers as a template for mine, just replacing some of the headings that I don't use with ones I do.:thanks:

I'm looking ahead!!

Thanks to this thread, our October trip is nearly 100% covered!

I'm starting to churn for a future trip and have been thinking about a Disney cruise. My question.....has anyone churned for a cruise? What all can be paid with GCs? Shipboard expenses? Excursions through Disney? When do I apply the GCs? On the final night? Please tell me all about your experience if you've churned for a cruise.
I just got off a cruise that was 100% paid for by gift cards. I did not go through a ta - just booked straight through Disney and they took all my millions of cards as payment no problem. I paid over 2k before you could combine so that was a lot of gift cards at once and they were great.

As far as once I was on board, I said I wanted a cash account. Every so often when guest services weren't busy I would pay off my balance in gift cards. 100% of items on ship (excursions, drinks, shops, gratuities) can be paid for with gift cards. If you can charge it to the room you can use a gc. We even upped our tips and they let us pay that with gc. You can also pay for things directly in the shops with gift cards. I did not spend 1 penny on the ship that wasn't paid for with a gift card.

Hmm, I guess this confuses me. If they set the limit at 4 $50's , why shouldn't you buy 4 $50's? I thought you could buy 3 or 4 $100's? I mean, if you abide by their limit, not sure why that's not okay, that doesn't make sense to me at all.

Sorry to have been confusing - I was saying ordering more than four Disney $50 gift cards.

I really don't mean to be scaring anyone or to create a "sky is falling" mentality - I was just re-posting what had been posted by an individual who had been banned by Target. It looks like the thread that it was originally on has been removed for some reason, but this was her post (in which she's referring to Disney gift cards):
Just to add. After multiple emails and calls I've finally found out that ordering more than 4 of the $50 cards in a day can trigger the flag. They told me that each card has a different limit but wouldn't tell me what the limit for the. $100 cards are.

Again, the chances that a Target representative (1) had accurate information about this and (2) was willing to share the details of Target's fraud prevention efforts with a customer who had been banned are both extremely slim.

That being said, I wanted to share it because (1) it potentially may provide insight into the banning and (2) it encourages caution, which is something that is crucial to this entire process (particularly considering it seems there have been a lot of new people here lately).

I don't know as i just started buying from Sams and haven't bought more than 3 of one denomination yet (I got 2$500, 3$150 and 2$50). I did not notice that until you mentioned it, but I do also notice that it only has a limit on the $500. My plan was to buy $500s from here on out, but I guess I might have to move to the $150s then...

I put all my gift cards into my Disney Vacation Account (some people have had problems with the DVA but I have never had a problem) and then call and have the money transferred to pay for the cruise itself or to buy an onboard credit. I will usually buy an onboard credit of $1,500-$2,000 to cover all the excursions, drinks, tips and any other expenses that are auto charged to your room. I do everything prior to the cruise so I don't carry any gift cards with me.

We do this as well but also book with Costco for the large rebate. You can't give Costco your DVA #, so you must call the cruise line's TA number to pay. Very easy. Since the DVA gives you a bonus gift card for every 1,000 spent, we always preload our onboard account as well. What you don't spend will automatically be returned to your DVA.

Do they take the DVA on the cruise ship? Or how do you "preload" your onboard account? Just curious because my understanding is at WDW resorts they don't accept the DVA and it can only be used for expenses paid ahead of time-it would be great if we could find a way to do something similar to what you are describing since we always charge everything to the room-Getting the bonus for a future trip would be great!

I so wish you could "preload" for room charges at WDW with your DVA then use your magic band to withdraw from the preloaded amount! I know I could go to the desk and pay down my balance with gift cards, but the cruise line's method seems so much easier. I especially like that unused funds just go back to your DVA.

For the cruise, you call their TA line to preload (same # used when making final pymt). Don't think you can do this with land trips though, but I haven't tried.

Edited . . . If you don't preload enough, the cruise line can call shoreside and have them add funds from your DVA. Just make sure you take your DVA acct no with you. And note that shoreside isn't open on Sundays.

Thanks don't think that works for Disney hotels :(
Since they don't take gift cards at check in to have a credit on your account I doubt this would work either.

Can anyone direct me to a post on Disney Gift Card/Visa Savings 101 (I'm a total novice and am just curious if I can really save money this way?) I looked through the thread, and can't really get a good grasp on how people are saving money. I have a Target RedCard, BJs membership, and am willing to open a Disney Credit Card if it means worthwhile savings.
Thanks!

Does it always take so long (eleven days) for GCM shipping? That seems like a long time to ship a gift card.

Ok. Can I just see if I've got this right? Not sure if it's worth starting for a trip this October.

I was going to purchase $500 in Disney GCs from Target with the RedCard.

Instead I could buy Ebay GCs through Target with the money, wait for a bonus promotion, and then buy Target GCs with the EBay GCs to earn Ebucks. Then I'd use the Ebucks to buy more Target GCs (or wait for another Promotion and THEN use the Ebucks to earn more Ebucks?). Use the Target GCs to buy EBay GCs, and keep on with the cycle until I eventually use the Target GCs to buy Disney GCs....

Good lord that was a mouthful! I don't want to tie up any money that'd go towards my October trip if that's possible. Not sure if this is more of a long term kinda thing? My next trip won't be for 3 years so I could always start it then if I have the gist of it right.

Is there usually a Ebucks promotion each month since they expire?
