Disney Gift Card Deals

Awesome.

I've noticed people talking about amounts and limits - is their a general idea on an amount I shouldn't go past when getting Target cards through EBay?

Target also can go rogue and cancel orders (usually just reordering hours later will work) and/or ban you for what they decide is "reseller" type behavior. That's why people are s little more timid with running lots of gcs thru Target online (some will forgo the 5% to get Ebay gcs at aTarget store to be safe). It sounds like you're not doing high enough amounts to worry about though. IIRC there have been two bannings of members on this thread. One was for someone churning thru enough for a 27k family Disney trip (no. Not a typo :earseek:) . I think the other was from someone doing a much smaller volume of cards though. Nobody knows where Targets line in the sand is.

And giant props for figuring out the gist vs "I don't know how to churn and don't feel like reading tell me everything". Lol!

I have done 3x $200 in ebay cards successfully in a single order. I personally would not do more than that in a single day.

I just tried this tonight. Fingers crossed. I have been too chicken to go over two $200 ebays...I used to get cancellations right and left and now, I never do. SO, I am always waiting for the shoe to drop.

I am so stoked!!! My very first ebucks are here. I earned $338.00 and another $150.00 from ebates so far since I started Feb 19. Most of my ebay purchases have been credited from ebates and some not but I have no complaints!!! Thank you all here so much for the help along the way. I am really looking forward to the upcoming quarter. My next planned vacation will be my first trip ever to DisneyWorld Oct 17 and it now just seems so much more feasible.

I received ebates for both orders I made yesterday morning. I added Star Wars force awaken pre order. And the other I order zootopia pre order. They had a $5 gc with that one. I was going to buy both movies anyway so I made sure I looked at around at prices which where the same as in Amazon. Plus the 5% discount, plus the $5 gc plus the left over money I had from gc ($8) and ebates end up being the cheapest way for us.

Interesting! I thought dvd's were excluded.

How do you handle all the small gift card amounts left over on target cards? I have some with $10 and some with $5, but you can only use four gcs on check out. Is there a way to combine balances that I am not seeing?

I just buy a bigger Target card with whatever I can pull together. Sometimes, it may just be that I buy a $15 Target GC and then at some point I add that one to others to make $50.

I just went to the store and bought a target gc to combine all the smaller gc. I had $1031 in 24 gc. I combine into 3 because I didn't want to leave the info of the gc in target. Com to prevent my gc to be drained next time I went to use it.

No dvds are not in the exclusion list "Cash Back is not available on grocery, household commodities and essentials, baby care items (diapers, wipes, food, and toiletries), pet supplies, video games and consoles, music, books, contract mobile phones, prepaid and gift cards, Target Pharmacy and OTC, Target Photo, Target Optical, Target Café, SweetJOJO, and orders deemed by Target to be for resell."

Is everyone getting emails about your eBay bucks or do you log in to see it?
In my experience, the e-mail will be here in a few days. Kind of like with the ebay bucks offers, I only get an e-mail after I don't need the info anymore ;)

OK--need advice on probably a really stupid mistake. So when we were sharing giftcard spreadsheets I posted a link to the one I use. (Google Docs). I *thought* it was a duplicate of mine (minus the GC #'s) so that people could save a copy and use it. Then I got an email (just saw it but from a few days ago) from someone asking if they could modify it and use it for their GC spreadsheet. I clicked on the link and it is my current, active GC spreadsheet with my GC #s in it :crazy2::scared:. Posted somewhere on the internet for any and all to uses. Ok, posted on this thread a few weeks ago. I need to find it and remove it. Luckily I only have 2 GC#s with any money on them in there because the rest were in transit from the last round of eBay.

So, if it was someone from this thread.... I will look into how I can make a copy and post that. Obviously it does neither of us any good to be working on the same spreadsheet, LOL. I assume you are a totally normal person but I am a little horrified that I was so clueless as to post my current and active spreadsheet on the web.

I guess I needed to share that and perhaps ask if anyone knows how to post a copy of my spreadsheet so people can use the layout without giving everyone access to my personal copy? I am pretty familiar with Excel but this whole GoogleDocs thing is new to me.

ETA: OK. I just need to reiterate the panic I am feeling that every single giftcard number from my churns has been available for the *entire internet*. Luckily no seedy characters have stumbled upon it. And I cant find where I posted that link in this thread and I need to leave to go to work. Oye.

Awesome! I could have sworn dvd's were excluded! I am excited they aren't cause we buy tons of movies and we want the two you pre-ordered also :-)

Yikes! That is frightening! I would suggest that you try to do a search on this thread for spreadsheets and see if yours pops up. Then see if you can delete it.

Was it a $5 coupon for carpool or 5% and how did you get it? other have warn here about buying unclean cards because it can potentially get you ban from target. com. Let me know how it goes, because I plan on doing the same for our trip next month.
I put target card in my basket and didn't check out . The next day or two later they emailed me a 5% off my first purchase in the next 24 hours up to like $10 off. So far so good on target.com I've purchased $350 two separate transactions. One for $200 and one for $150 about week or two apart.

Just throwing this out there since we gave up DVDs and Blu-rays years ago and entrusted our entire movie library to iTunes... Ebates offers 7% cash back on pretty much all iTunes purchases, including movies, music, and apps. Also, PayPal Digital Gifts often runs sales on iTunes gift cards ranging from 15-25%, for which you can get another 1% cash back from Ebates through eBay.

Since iTunes is its own app separate from a web browser, it never triggers the Ebates plugin that reminds me to activate cash back. I finally discovered this deal only about two months ago while going over Ebates' retailers list and could've kicked myself for all the cash I missed out on getting back because we make so many purchases through iTunes.

I thought the PP you quoted was saying not to place multiple 4x$50 gc orders in the same day. Target limits you to 3 x $100 and/or 4x$50 per order but some people try to get around that limit by placing several orders on the same day. For some this has (at least appeared) to be a trigger for their banning. Since target won't divulge their criteria for a "reseller" I think it is same to assume try to get around their limits on how many of an item a customer can order could easily be a flag for manual review of the customer's order history.
Sorry, guess I read it wrong. I thought she was saying you shouldn't order the amount they limit you to. So, was thinking, what's the point of a limit if they are gonna ban you for using it. Thanks for explaining, makes sense.

Sorry to have been confusing - I was saying ordering more than four Disney $50 gift cards. I really don't mean to be scaring anyone or to create a "sky is falling" mentality - I was just re-posting what had been posted by an individual who had been banned by Target. It looks like the thread that it was originally on has been removed for some reason, but this was her post (in which she's referring to Disney gift cards):
Thanks, yeah I see that now. I thought you meant ordering the limit shouldn't be done. I would think ordering the limit would be following the rules, even if you order 4 $50's and 3 $100's, you would be doing the right thing since you are following their limits they are giving you per denomination. Thanks for explaining. Funny because in store they don't seem to limit or balk at buying $1000 in disney cards which I've done before, a couple times, but online is all about limits.
I am not an expert, but know the basics for Excel and I do love my spreadsheet. I don't think you have to use Excel, though. A simple pad of paper would work. For me the main thing is to just to write it down somewhere, because you think you will remember each deal or what you spent, but after a while it all runs together and you forget. :faint:
My simple spreadsheet for churning includes:
date
source of the gift card
how much it cost me
how much it's worth
a column to "X" it out after I spend it
how/where I spent it
E-bucks earned
another column for other earnings (Ebates, CC points etc.).........
Thanks so much, Narnia_girl! Definitely looks like you're into spreadsheets! And, yeah a simple pad of paper would work, thought I'd have to total on my own, but I know how to do that better than do Excel, lol! And, yes, writing it down somewhere at least is a good idea, because that I know most of what I've done so far for about 3 months now, you definitely do start to forget some of the details! But, how do you know where to put things, across the top, or on the left column? More options across the top?

I tried sharing my spreadsheet before, but it didn't quite work. I think I figured it out now. I cleared out most of the content on mine, but put in two dummy fields so you can get an idea of how I use this spreadsheet. Just note, this is very highly customized to me and how I do my churning, so everyone will have different needs. But this may give you an idea of how a spreadsheet will help you stay organized.
Let me know if this link is working alright:

Thank you, Jen and Ashwin! I think it worked okay, but it wants me to purchase excel or something since I guess I had a trial that's out now. But, good to see, thanks for sharing that, interesting to see how you do it.
So my local gamestops all allow me to buy the ebay gift cards with gamestop digital gift cards. Has anyone tried to re-use one of your ebay gift cards you have bought there and have them re-load it, can you do that? Just trying to avoid "wasting" so many pieces of plastic!
I called the store the first night and he said the cards were loadable. And, next day in store they looked loadable and employee doing my transaction said they were, but the next guy on my second time in said no they don't reload, other than the first time you put how much you want on there. My store only allows $1000 in a day, $500 in one card, so that would be only two cards at least. And, ebay limits digital gc's to $1000 per rolling 30 days(which I read here somewhere), per paypal account.

...
On the Target end, more restraint is necessary. Unfortunately, we have no idea what Target's limits are (or if they exist). For Disney, Target won't let you buy more than 3 $100 GCs and 4 $50s in a single transaction - I think the general consensus here is that you shouldn't make a practice of ordering more than that in a single day.
But, ordering the limit in a day is, or seems, safe? I'll be converting some to Disney in a few weeks so I'll have to spread over a few days or week, or go in store for some. Looks like $500 at a time between the $100's and $50's?
.... IIRC there have been two bannings of members on this thread. One was for someone churning thru enough for a 27k family Disney trip (no. Not a typo :earseek:) . I think the other was from someone doing a much smaller volume of cards though. Nobody knows where Targets line in the sand is...
I thought that the thing two or three posters had in common was having used gc's from a reseller, giftcardzen in particular. I think that's when more of us stopped using gc's from resellers. I used Raise before, but have stopped since then.

I shop at target all the time, so I have been using mine in-store to save money on things I am buying anyway.

I got my Target cards from GCM yesterday from my 3/29 purchase. I converted them through Target last night, buying 3 $200 eBay cards plus preordering Zootopia. The cards were delivered within 45 minutes and when I woke up this morning, I had a notification saying that I earned my full eBates amount. This churn alone generated $41.40. Now I am ready to wait for a eBay bucks promo to convert my eBay bucks. I am thinking of trying the Game Stop to eBay to Target route this time. My local store said they would let me buy eBay cards with Gamestop cards.
