I use an excel spreadsheet to keep track of all of these little amounts. This helps me understand where all of my money is currently sitting, how much I have total and how much I have been saving. Another bonus is that once I created it, it does all of the math for me. You should develop a spreadsheet that works for your churning method.

Yes, this, 100%!! An excel spreadsheet is a lifesaver with this process. It has saved me hours of frustration. There is no other way I'd be able to keep track of what amounts are on which cards. Not having to calculating anything is a huge help also. My spreadsheet is pretty basic, but it definitely gets the job done.

I am a spreadsheet nerd TO THE CORE and I love mine. Find a way that works for you and it will be a lifesaver! All I punch in is the amounts and if I pay OOP for anything like shipping, and it calculates Ebates and all that for me. Of course I always verify when they actually credit or don't, but yeah it's helpful.

i just signed up for ebay bucks a few weeks ago and so far have gotten a 5% bonus, then 8% then 10%.... so my question is do these bonus periods happen often? monthly? should i keep turning during the 2% rate or do you guys just wait for the bonus periods

I'm another person that loves spreadsheets. I track absolutely everything on mine so that I don't lose track of anything. Then I summarize it in a dashboard which I print and post on the refrigerator so we can see how we're doing. I can see at a glance how much we have in each type of gift card, what our out of pockets expenses are, how much we've earned in various rewards and rebates, and the current percentage of savings to just name a few.

I also looked at each component of our vacation to see what we can pay with gift cards and then created a chart shows the progress we've made in accumulating enough to pay for those expenses. So far we've earned enough with our initial $500 investment to pay 100% of our refillable mugs, Wishes Dessert Party and dining expenses for the two of us, plus 23% of our hotel (2 garden view rooms at POFQ for 12 nights). If things keep going the way they have been, once we cash in our ebay bucks, we'll earn enough with each cycle to pay for one more hotel night for one person. This has definitely exceeded our wildest expectations. Thank you to everyone for sharing their tips.

Looking for advice - I have a rewards program through our landline company that I totally forgot about until someone mentioned the verizon option. Anyway, I just checked it out and I have enough points to cash out for $60!!! However, my only options are Amazon or Walmart. Are there any known paths I could take with either of these to get it into my churning fund?

If you have a Sam's club membership, I would say Walmart cards would be the winner for sure. You can buy discounted gift cards at Sams with walmart cards. Amazon used to not let you buy gift cards with their gift cards, but some have reported being able to do it recently.

That's a great idea. It looks like most of the cards say 1 year of simultaneous streaming for 2 tvs - $119.88 value. Is that what you got?
I wasn't sure what we had, so I signed into our account. We have that same package, but ours is showing up at $7.99 instead of the $9.99. I'm assuming that I can still use this on my account? I'm also assuming that in May (when it says our price is guaranteed through), ours will go up to the $9.99 per month.

I paid $79 for "12 month 2 screen" promo code (before coupon). I actually have the 4 screen subscription, at 11.99/mo (necessary with 5 teens, a 9 year old and only local cable channels), but the card credited as $119.88. I went through splender, so hopefully will get 2% cashback. I still have 2 months left on a separate gift card, so for $64 I got 10 more months of my subscription. It *should* work the same for yours (I chatted with netflix beforehand to make sure of my situation).

It was a real eye opener when I realized that I could earn 10% in ebay bucks and I started being more selective in what I took advantage due to the 5K limit. Now that there isn't a limit, I'm still going to wait for a bonus offer of at least 3X because I don't want my GC's tied up in transit when a better offer comes along.

Hopefully there will be at least one good one in April. As an aside, is there ANYONE here holding themselves back from jumping on every promo for some reason? I started churning just 3 weeks ago but started with a considerable initial investment that I refuse to add to. No more out of pocket money! I am very happy with my profit but it's hard to pass up some of these deals!!!

I know some have asked why Gamestop, or Kmart, or anything other than just Target > ebay > repeat. I think it depends on what kind of volume you are looking at. I have a trip for 6-8 to pay for in October, so I probably need to get $1000-$2000 in Disney gift cards from target every month. That is pretty much the max of my comfort zone to run through Target, period. So, barring target having a sale on gift cards, I don't plan to get any other gift cards from Target besides the ones I need for Disney. Heck, I've stopped doing ebates with my Target orders because I want to do as little as possible to flag my account and still get what I need. I *need* Gamestop, target, best buy, etc. to get my ebay cards.

I bolded part of Eighty8Keys post that is relevant to this. If you jump on a 3x and your gift cards on tied up in transit, then you may miss out on a 5x. It will then cost you more in shipping, because you have to churn more times to reach the ebay bucks limit (or you just miss out on the extra 2-4% that you would have gotten).

I hold my ebay bucks to the end of the redemption month, if I don't get a 4x or 5x offer during the redemption month. I am not sure if I didn't get the October offers because I had a large amount of bucks (over $300), or if ebay just likes to randomly ruin people's days

In my original post, I neglected to add my thanks to you for compiling this list. I know which offers I've been able to take advantage of, but not the ones I didn't and I wished I'd kept a list. For awhile last fall, it seemed like either my cards were in transit or GCM would run out of the higher denomination cards and take forever to restock. In November, when GCM only offered $25/$50/$100 cards, I ended up buying $600 in $25 cards in order to take advantage of a 5X offer. Now thankfully, they seem to restock very quickly and offering a $150 card really cuts down on the shipping costs.

Ugh, my PayPal account got messed up from trying to do the $15 discount to many times. It said suspicious activity and that it didn't recognize my device even though it was my iPad that I always use. I had to go through some steps to verify that it's really me. Hopefully it is ok. But I don't want to try and buy anything else today.
