Haha I was just going to post about my ebates crediting. It was exactly 24 hours after I got my shipment notice from GCM. I paid for it with gift cards and then PayPal balance for the shipping.

I was just about to post the same thing! And for those who were wondering, I paid for all but the shipping by using eBay GCs.

I actually paid with my credit card for shipping too. I usually just use a gift card because it's easier (and less out of my pocket) but I just happened to only have enough for all but $2 worth of shipping. Do you think that has anything to do with it, or just coincidence?!

The only site that I have consistently gotten rewards back for buying gift cards at target online is through the shopping portal in my perk account. I believe it is 5 perk pts per $ spent, and so far all five transactions I have done buying only eBay gift cards paid with target gift cards have credited with no issues.

I paid for my target from eBay on Tuesday with all giftcards. got a notification about my ebates two hours after.

I know some have asked why Gamestop, or Kmart, or anything other than just Target > ebay > repeat. I think it depends on what kind of volume you are looking at. I have a trip for 6-8 to pay for in October, so I probably need to get $1000-$2000 in Disney gift cards from target every month. That is pretty much the max of my comfort zone to run through Target, period. So, barring target having a sale on gift cards, I don't plan to get any other gift cards from Target besides the ones I need for Disney. Heck, I've stopped doing ebates with my Target orders because I want to do as little as possible to flag my account and still get what I need. I *need* Gamestop, target, best buy, etc. to get my ebay cards.

I keep thinking I'll give my Target account a break because my order history is conspicuously full of eBay gift card orders, but eBay keeps killing us with kindness. They must really be trying to drive up sales before the close of the quarter with all these coupons and eBay Bucks promos! I'm not complaining, but like @DIS_MERI it's forced me to start spending my funds through other stores.

Me too. I was one of the first to stop getting ebates credit for eBay purchases and contacted them for clarification. I was told that they don't pay for purchases paid with gift cards which was confusing because they did pay me for 2 but denied 2. This time I used gift cards for payment but paid shipping via PP and got the ebates

Ugh, my PayPal account got messed up from trying to do the $15 discount to many times. It said suspicious activity and that it didn't recognize my device even though it was my iPad that I always use. I had to go through some steps to verify that it's really me. Hopefully it is ok. But I don't want to try and buy anything else today.

I think I had to verify it 3 times for 1 transaction earlier this month, and then twice for one of my transactions yesterday. I think you're safe, but it's paypal, so who knows, lol.

I think I had to verify it 3 times for 1 transaction earlier this month, and then twice for one of my transactions yesterday. I think you're safe, but it's paypal, so who knows, lol.

Thanks, I hope so! I haven't even been spending that much with PayPal. I did get $200 best buy and $100 GameStop yesterday, but that is no where near what some others have spent in a single day. And today I was trying to get $75 in best buy. It ended up working for me to get $100 target instead. But then I went back in later just to see if PayPal was working for me and then it said you already used your $15 off offer and that's when it said I had suspicious activity and wanted me to change my password and verify my account. Which I did. Then I looked and all the activity on there was all from me. Nothing suspicious looking.

anyways, back OT, I got my Target cards from Tuesday delivered today but b/c I was gone I missed the ebay sale BUT my ebates corrected itself and I got full credit for my ebay purchases!!! I haven't read the last few pages b/c while Newsies was a great show, it gave me a massive headache so I can't read much atm but I paid for the gift cards with gift cards but shipping with PP. So, just wanted to update that since I was one who posted that I hadn't received much credit from the ebay sale.

I put in tickets for my ebay orders with ebates and got a response that they won't credit because I paid with a gift card. Well today they all credited. Very happy.

Yes. As long as your purchase is eligible to earn eBay Bucks (i.e. you're not buying an eBay gift card or precious metals, among others), you'll earn eBay Bucks regardless of your form of payment.

I think people just need to be patient with ebates, and stop putting in tickets unless it is a regular eligible purchase. Target usually credits the same day for me, ebay has ranged from same day to a week later depending on when my item ships. I know it is easy to worry that you aren't going to get cash back, sometimes you won't. Putting in tickets is begging for them to deny it and possibly have them reverse your other purchases. Paying with gift cards is technically not supposed to work on any of the shopping portals, but it does most of the time on ebates and a lot of other portals as well. I don't ever put in tickets if I know that I'm not technically supposed to get it.

ETA: This is from ebates about how long it takes to credit to your account: "Most cash back rewards are credited within 48 hours. Some stores, however, cannot confirm your purchase until the return period has elapsed and may take up to thirty days to confirm your cash back." Patience people.
