Well, I tried again. This time I added some socks to the order taking it just over the amount I had in gift cards and put a few dollars on my Red Card. Again it was canceled. So, I thought I'd just try with my sock purchase only and no gift cards in the order. Canceled. Next I thought maybe it was because I hadn't activated my new chip target card. So I activated it. Added it as my default and again tried the socks and no gift cards. Canceled. I'm really panicked that I was blocked. I'm on hold with Target now. I only gave her the sock order. Trying not to draw attention to the gift card orders. I just started this whole process and haven't bought many ebay or target cards at all. I'll let you all know how it turns out.

That is so bizarre! Definitely let us know how it turns out. Really though that's weird.

Well, it looks like I was indeed flagged at least. Maybe banned. They said my orders were canceled due to my recent activity. I have the option to have this reviewed by faxing in the front and back of my social, front and back of my drivers licence and the front and back of a utility bill. I don't know that I'm comfortable faxing that information and I'm not able to take it to the store. I'm so upset. I've barely begun this process, but I did buy a large amount of ebay cards the other day when the 5x promotion was going on. $1,000 of eBay cards on the 16th and $800 on the 17th. It seems like that is not much compared to others, but who knows. I'm at a loss as to how to proceed.

Well, right now I have 2 gift cards I bought from Cardpool specifically to get the Southwest cards. I have $1700 in transit from Ebay. When they arrive I'm going to go get my Disney Cards at the store with no discount and get out of the game I guess. I don't know what else to do. Even if I send all that info they want (and I don't feel good about faxing my social security card somewhere), I wouldn't feel like I could buy gift cards on that account again even if they reinstate it. Wouldn't they be checking my account very closely after that? Has this happened to anyone else? I saw the bannings earlier in the thread, but I didn't see where they could send in info to be reinstated. I'm just not sure what to do at this point.

Were most of your purchases large ones? I'm just curious. I'm new at this too but passive. I am doing $450 so definitely nothing like many on here. I tend to be a nervous nelly so even the small amounts make me nervous but I figure I can always finalize it in the store if they ban me. Just trying to figure out why you'd have had this happen so early. I definitely wouldn't like faxing my info and am not sure what they really gain from that. You already have a red card….shouldn't they have info from that?

My advice is to slow down and wait a bit. Were your orders cancelled immediately or after a bit? Were all of these orders placed in one day?

I had a bad day where everything I ordered was cancelled after a short period of time. My first order went through where I bought target gift cards with target gift cards just to get clean cards. After I received those via email I attempted to buy eBay cards and that's where my orders started being cancelled. I tried several configurations on the same day and all cancelled. So I quit and went to target and bought new target gift cards and in the next day or so bought eBay gift cards and it worked no problem

I think once an order is cancelled most orders the rest of the day will be cancelled so it's best to wait a day or two. I also found it wasn't bad a bad idea to go to target and get fresh target cards that aren't tied to the cards you tried to use on all the cancelled orders. Finally, I would say slow down. Do not buy that many cards in one day. Limit yourself to one order a day max of 300 or so and skip a few days in between.

Before you give up try this and see if it works and you may be back in the game.

I haven't had this happen to me. I stopped using GC resellers like Cardpool quite a while ago when the discounts got kind of pitiful IMO. From what I've read from other people who were banned (not just flagged) on target .com, they had the same thing in common...they used GCs that they had purchased from a reseller. The theory is that the seller of those GCs had been banned by Target (and the GCs were associated with the banned account). The banned seller dumped their GCs on the resale market and it resulted in the buyers also getting banned when they attempted to use them online.

Like you, I would be reluctant to send that info via fax.

I guess I will try it. Do you think that might work even though I called in and they asked me to fax all that info?

I'm going to go and get my Southwest cards in the store tonight. I'll wait a week and then try my new cards from eBay using small transactions. Hopefully the flag will drop off. If not, I guess I'll go to the store and get my Disney cards and be out of the game.

I doubt that we could get a second debit card. My hubby and I share the same checking account.

$1000 and $800 is a lot. I'd say it's on par with the people doing the most out here. So... your orders are cancelled, even for hard goods... what they just deny you the option to shop online, at all, now? I think it's like Kool_Cat said and you had a GC in there that was flagged as bad, maybe stolen. If they want you to fax this info, it means they're trying to validate you as a real person, and that's not really a bad thing. I would fax the info. You could also just wait. I have a strange order hung up in Target's site for 3x$200. It's at status Order Created, nothing has been shipped on it (except my ruler) but I've placed other orders since, which have gone thru. It says that order will now be shipped on 2/23. So I'm just gonna wait it out and see what happens w it.

Just a heads up for our Texas familys. HEB has this week 20.00 off 100.00 gift card purchase through their mobile app. I looked right now and didn't see the digi coupon and called corp. The gentlemen said they had a upc problem and pulled it temporary and it should be back up today and not to worry! Ha. I need to save money!!! So keep a look out for the coupon.

I have a feeling a lot of those discounted gift cards on Raise, Cardpool, etc are purchased using stolen credit cards. I think a lot of retailers are flagging these types of transactions for several reasons.
They may be concerned that you are purchasing gift cards with a stolen credit card and that's why they want you to verify your identity so thoroughly.
Or, you may have used a gift card purchased off of Raise, Cardpool, etc that was ultimately reported stolen (could have even been after you had used it).
And, just a related anecdote, I have a friend that was banned from Barnes and Noble online purchases after using a discounted gift card he purchased from one of the discount gift card sights.

*some of these figures are approximate* This is overall,AFTER I get Target gc's from Ebay(incl using Ebucks) and turning them into dis gc's at Target using RC and cashback portals (fingers crossed)
Spent 1590.00 for 1700 worth of gc's (target)$110
mypoints rebate =$25 (target gc)
ebates- 35.00 (if it works)
Target RC savings-$80
Cc hotel points earned(valuation) $30
Total saved/rebates overall $386.00
All that shakes down to $1700-$386.00=$1314.00 which = approx. 22% discount after all is said and done?
I feel like this may wrong..... again,a fee extra here and there not included,as my head is spinning already,so approximate numbers....

I have been leery of using Target Gift Cards (from sites like Raise) to buy Disney Gift Cards, but today I am taking the plunge. I bought just over $50 of Target Cards and I am waiting for the email confirmation so I can then try and apply them to my Target order. I figure, worst case is I am still going to pay full price for my Disney trip and I can use the Target GC for other stuff, but at best I can get the discount from the Target GC (About 5%) plus the Target Red Card Discount (again, 5%) so about 10% overall. Still better than the 4.7% discount by buying them at Sam's Club.

The first time I tried to purchase a $200 eBay card my order was cancelled, but I think there was a glitch that the $200 card was not asking for an e-mail address for the recipient. I remember thinking it was odd that it didn't ask for one for the $200 card, but did for the $100 card that I bought in the same order. I have since successfully purchased a $200 GC once, but until I get to the point where I will hit the 8 card per transaction limit on eBay I will stick to buying $100s. I've only been churning $300 at a time and not using any GCs from a reseller so hopefully I stay under the radar.

Fitnessmouse, were you one of the ones who Target banned earlier in the thread? Did they offer you to have it reviewed with items faxed to them (SScard, DL and Utility bill)? Have you given up on the GC churn completely? Can you still buy in the store? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm a bit freaked out over it all.
