What is your personal must buy % if you see Target or eBay on Raise? What is the % you have scored? I have found the site Gift Card Granny that listed Best deal across several GC discount sites. Are there are any sites you will not buy from?

I typically will buy at 6% or higher. I, also, like Raise and Cardpool. I will occasionally buy from giftcardrescue but their percentages are usually too low for me. I do not buy from cardcash, as there are way, way too many bad experiences people post about.

The TOS says "approximately 15 days after the quarter ends" so it might be a while yet.

On another note, because of our new insurance, I now have to pay almost $200 for my ONE prescription. So, does anyone have a suggestion about how I can make lemonade out of that lemon?

Some brands/drug manufacturers have their own loyalty programs. Depending on the drug, there can be a large reduction in cost. Check with the pharmacist first but then also call the manufacturer and ask.

Also, double check your taxes to ensure your accountant (or whoever does your taxes) is deducting your self insured health insurance premiums on the front of your 1040 (line 29).

Shoot, I got a notice on my phone that I would get a $5 if I purchased $50 and it provided a code. Now I can't find it. I thought it was a text but not there or in my emails. Can anyone explain how to retrieve the code from my phone? Thanks!

I have been adding gift cards to the disney vacation account for a while, but I just heard of the site where I can combine gift card balances into one card (up to $1000 per card I think.)
So my question is, can i combine the ones I have already entered into the disney vacation account to make it easier to manage multiple cards, or is it too late once they are entered? Hope this makes sense!

Adding them to your DVA is, in effect, just like combining them. When you need to pay for something with your DVA, you just make a payment from your account instead of all the individual gift cards.

To your question, I don't believe you can combine them once they're in your DVA account unless you close your account and request a refund, but I'm not positive about that.

Thank you Professor Z, I guess I'm just concerned that if I have to have them refunded they have to go back onto the original cards for the vcation account. Which means keeping track of and saving LOTS of cards. I was thinking I would comn=bine them first, then add them to the vacation account.

I tried the DVA but it kept giving me grief so I called and had it closed out. They mailed me a single gift card with my remaining account balance. The balance did not get refunded back on to the individual gift cards that I added to the account.

The site seemed to be down all the time. And when it wasn't down, I would entered gift cards and they wouldn't show up in my DVA but the value on the gift card was drained. I had to enter many tickets and it just became way too much work for $20 extra per $1000. Once I was able to combine gift cards on the disney gift site, I decided to ditch DVA.

I finally just made my 1st Raise purchase, 50.00, Target card at 4.9%. I went straight to Target (per suggestions here) and only received 45.52. I'm so annoyed, really my 1st time out and this. Not really enough to make a stink over but not worth going to Raise if I'm going to be losing money. I did send them an email which I'm sure this is not going to be a top priority for them and it's certainly not worth my time and effort to chase down. What a bummer, I was so excited about this .

Exactly why I won't be bothered with the DVA. The website is too glitchy for my comfort, especially if I'm putting thousands of dollars of hard-earned money into it. If my bank operated like that, there would be calls to investigate it.

I understand. I wanted to post a positive thing about the DVA though. I had originally funded it with my SW credit card to get air miles, so I didn't have the experience some people had with debit cards and gift card issues. I used the DVA to renew AP's for my dh and myself. After hearing that I should be able to use the DVA for DVC dues I added gift cards that I had combined on the Disney gift card website. It all went through without any problems, paid my dues, requested my appropriate number of gift cards and have $3 left in the account. I will decide next year if I want to use it again or not, but will leave it open in the meantime with the small balance.
