There's a whole thread on swagbucks with lots of info: http://www.disboards.com/threads/those-using-swagbucks.3222525/
That is great, Jen!
I have tried running NCraves and other videos but it slows down my laptop so much, I get frustrated. Do you not have that issue at all?
There's a whole thread about Swagbucks that you might want to check. Your employer may not be thrilled with your sapping bandwidth by running the apps or the website videos. In fact, they might have blocks for websites like SB in place. Definitely a case of YMMV, depending on your employer and how chill they can be with their employees using their internet connection for personal use.I have never used Swagbucks or heard of nCraves but is this something I could run at home on my tablet while at work or does it require monitoring/responses? I would not run on my work laptop but we do also have a couple of wireless networks that I could connet the tablet to. I guess I would be concerned if it was discovered by our IT, not being technically savvy not sure if this would be considered a big no-no. Appreciate all of you sharing your successes!

Oh right, they will have a block, security is beyond. I will try running it when I get home through the night. ThanksThere's a whole thread about Swagbucks that you might want to check. Throw in something small (ruler, scotch tape, bubble mailer) that isn't excluded.Ok, I know I should just read the 426 pages, but could someone please tell me how you get past the block on getting ebates rewards for gift card orders from Target. And does ebay give SB for purchases of gift cards when you churn?
Oh my. I just signed up for Swagbucks and thought this was a fun, new way to grow my vacation budget. I think I just wasted 30 minutes acquiring 78 SB. I think I will work an extra overtime shift instead.
More power to you peeps though--you've got mad patience!
Are you in a high deductible health plan? Are you funding an HSA? You should be coming out ahead on premiums even with the expensive prescriptions.$200 for my ONE prescription. So, does anyone have a suggestion about how I can make lemonade out of that lemon?
I try to keep up here and I noticed that I haven't seen anyone mention using Walmart's Saving's Catcher rebate to get GCs. I have about $50 that I'm going to cash in soon, and I know you can use Walmart GCs to purchase other GCs. I do most of my shopping there and I faithfully scan my receipt before I even walk out of the store.
On another note, because of our new insurance, I now have to pay almost $200 for my ONE prescription. So, does anyone have a suggestion about how I can make lemonade out of that lemon?
As the PP mentioned, hopefully you're still coming out ahead by the time you factor in lower premiums. Also, see if your prescription coverage offers an alternative list of meds. We have Express-Scripts and they offer that on their site. I was in a similar state of shock on Jan 4 last year. The med I had paid $10 for in Dec 2014, was suddenly $179 in Jan 2015. Yikes. On another note, because of our new insurance, I now have to pay almost $200 for my ONE prescription. So, does anyone have a suggestion about how I can make lemonade out of that lemon?
Hmm, I wonder if you could buy a generic giftcard (visa/amex) on a high-return credit card --Chase Ink gives 5x rewards at office supply stores where you can buy the Visa/Amex-- and use that? Or get the Walgreens/Rite Aid/CVS gift cards at a discount? Thats all I got.
But since misery loves company know that our insurance is increasing about $300 a month for our family to have considerably worse coverage. I find it odd that I am a nurse and can't afford to insure my family through the hospital I work for![]()

That stinks. Our copay for prescription at least went toward the deductible. (Not that it really mattered last year since DH had to go the ER in mid-January and ... let's just say we hit our deductible early in the year ....The co-pay isn't applied toward deductible, but it does go toward OOP limits..
All this to say - our co-pays for prescriptions went WAY up. And, I have to stay on brand.
