Disney Gift Card Deals

Yeah I plan to try another store tomorrow. I think one thing that really annoyed me was the girl at the register rings me out for 1000$ worth and then decides to call a supervisor over. If you weren't going to allow it why waste my time and the customers behind me.

I'd be pretty upset too. If they're going to limit you, they should do so before they waste everyone's time (and it should be a reasonable limit). I totally understand them not wanting a single person to buy out the store, but it's not like the cashier couldn't have realized that before she scanned in over 40 gift cards. It seems like a lot of people have had really good experiences with Target though, so I'd just let this one roll off your shoulders and forget it.

I don't understand how targets are so different from one another.

I have said for years that my Target store manager must read slickdeals (and probably this site!) cause anything others are getting away with, my store will have a sign up saying 'don't even try it' It really frustrates me how differently the Target stores operate.

Possible deal ... Raise.com has H-E-B gift cards for 8% off. In addition, this weekend the H-E-B gift cards are an additional 5% off with code TAKE5. I bought $210 in Gift Cards for $183.54 (12.6% off).

I'll run by H-E-B over lunch to see if I can buy a $210 $15-$500 Disney Gift Card with these. I doubt it. But even if not, I do my normal grocery shopping there, so there is no risk.

Good luck. I bought one of those HEB cards (to buy groceries with) and found out it's an e-card. Doesn't work in store. :( :(

...
I've tried at two different HEB stores and been to Customer Service at one of them and none of them were able to make it work. I check the balance online and it shows a balance and like you said, it says "or at a store near you." But it doesn't work. :( I guess I'm going to need to find $50 worth of groceries to buy online.

UPDATE ... The H-E-B deal is confirmed to work in store on everything, including Disney Gift Cards. I was able to use all $210 to buy $30 in groceries and the other $180 on Disney Gift Cards, getting he 12.6% off (plus credit card perks).

Here's how to do it: First the emotionally scarring back-story as Doof would say ... I also went to one store and they couldn't get it working. I then researched why. It was due to H-E-B's computer system handling eGift cards and physical gift cards differently. I went back to the store late tonight to try again. I grabbed a $15-$500 Disney GC and told them I wanted $21 on it. They picked pay with HEB Gift Card on their screen. I then told them to choose Option 2 on their Gift Card menu ... "Physical Gift Card", and then type in the 19-digit card number and a future date (we used 122115) for the expiration date to workaround that part. I accepted the $21 debit and a manager had to input her override code. Done. I then bought another and said $159 on this one, and we proceeded to use the rest of my $21 gift cards on there and it worked perfectly.

Long story short: whenever you see a good deal on H-E-B gift cards on Raise, you can directly convert those to Disney Gift Cards in the store, in the exact amount that you buy on Raise, between $15-$500.

Agreed. Policy seems to vary so much from store to store. If corporate would communicate clearly, stores wouldn't have so much discretion IMO. Either it's a good business decision to do X, or it's not.

If you used a gift card to pay, the cashier I talked to said you only get the 5% off anything you purchase that was paid for with your target card only. Kinda makes sense since the reason you get the 5% is when you use your credit card
I didn't use any gift cards to pay but I know what you are stating :). I it was $200 worth of Disney cards all charged to my Red card but as another poster commented they are technically dividing the FREE gift cards among the ones purchased and not deducting the 5% from them. In my example it was 8 x 2.50 = $20.00 and therefore the 5% on the $20 is $1 and I paid that and was charged $191 not $190.

I purchased $300 in $25 Disney cards at Target and they charged me $286.50. I didn't complain though because it was last week and they technically were not on sale yet.

Someone on another group I belong to tried to buy the $25 Disney gift cards this morning and they were not scanning as being eligible. Anyone else running into this today? Wondering if yesterday was a glitch.

They were tagged as eligible at my store so not a glitch.

Hmm...interesting and you know that's the first thought I had yesterday (like this is too good to be true and they might change this). The Target "sticky note" above the items clearly stated the $25 Disney card and it clearly prompted automatically at the register. I have a store pickup later so bless DH, I was going to have him look for a few more so I'm curious if they did change anything.

Anyone going to take advantage of 3x eBay bucks today? I'm trying to convert some of my eBay gift cards to Target to buy Disney. I have a little more time but I really need to go ahead and get our tickets bought (May trip) before prices increase. Should I buy or should I wait another week or two for a better deal? WWYD? I'd only be buying $200-300 of Target from CGM...

Ugh I still don't have this offer eligible in my account! I just tried updating my email settings the other day to accept promotional emails.
