Disney Gift Card Deals

Anyone going to take advantage of 3x eBay bucks today? I'm trying to convert some of my eBay gift cards to Target to buy Disney. I have a little more time but I really need to go ahead and get our tickets bought (May trip) before prices increase. Should I buy or should I wait another week or two for a better deal? WWYD? I'd only be buying $200-300 of Target from CGM...

I was debating but decided to hold off because they are out of stock on the $100 GC and shipping would double if I bought the $50's. Our trip isn't until 2017 so I have more time. If my trip was in May I think I would probably go for it so I could cycle them through another time or two before I had to convert to Disney GC's.

Went today and bought $200 worth of Disney $25 GC. They weren't signed but prompted the GC. Tried buying some other brands as well, you cannot mix and match. I tried buying an ITunes and Starbucks and that didn't prompt the GC, must be bought in increments of two of the same.

UPDATE ... The H-E-B deal is confirmed to work in store on everything, including Disney Gift Cards. I was able to use all $210 to buy $30 in groceries and the other $180 on Disney Gift Cards, getting he 12.6% off (plus credit card perks).

Here's how to do it: First the emotionally scarring back-story as Doof would say ... I also went to one store and they couldn't get it working. I then researched why. It was due to H-E-B's computer system handling eGift cards and physical gift cards differently. I went back to the store late tonight to try again. I grabbed a $15-$500 Disney GC and told them I wanted $21 on it. They picked pay with HEB Gift Card on their screen. I then told them to choose Option 2 on their Gift Card menu ... "Physical Gift Card", and then type in the 19-digit card number and a future date (we used 122115) for the expiration date to workaround that part. I accepted the $21 debit and a manager had to input her override code. Done. I then bought another and said $159 on this one, and we proceeded to use the rest of my $21 gift cards on there and it worked perfectly.

Long story short: whenever you see a good deal on H-E-B gift cards on Raise, you can directly convert those to Disney Gift Cards in the store, in the exact amount that you buy on Raise, between $15-$500.

You're my hero. I'm headed back to HEB today. I wonder if I can just convert it to a regular HEB card. I really want to use it to buy their cheap gas! I didn't get a good enough deal on the one I have to make it worth buying Disney cards. It's still better for me to stick with Target for that.

Yeah, if the 100's were in stock, this would be easy. The shipping with CGM is ridiculous.

Thanks for your thoughts!!

Are you trying to purchase giftcards? I believe they are excluded from those types of coupons

No, no part of either my original BF purchase nor what I planned to purchase in-store with the 20% coupon is made up of gift cards.

I still have not received my 20% coupon from my two BF orders. However, I got a coupon in store a couple of days ago. Maybe worth a shot asking if they have any left.

I will do that, thanks. I would love to use it for my "stock up on baking items" trip....

Exactly. My original post had a few choice words that I ultimately decided to leave out. I'm always happy to see someone else get a deal, but many (not all!) people on SD are vultures who push deals way past their limits and end up ruining things for the rest of us.

You mean if I bought 87 $25 giftcards that would seem egregious?

Are we still talking about target? Or have we moved to other angles?

And what's H E B?

Forgive my acronymious ignorance

So, you cannot mix and match brands or just values? I need to get some Disney (5) and also a Buffalo Wild Wings, but only need one of those. I just want to make sure I'm reading clear, one Disney and one BWW wouldn't prompt for the gift card?

I'm only asking because in the ad the iTunes were listed as a separate sale and I'm just wondering if only iTunes had to be bought together, but others could be mixed and matched. Perhaps just wishful thinking... ;)

How often does Target restock gift cards? I bought what they had last Thursday (only $200) of the $25 gift cards and am wondering if it's worth going back to get a few more. I hate to make the trip if there's no hope they restocked.

No, I don't even have an issue with that. I'm talking about doing things like taking $25 Disney gift cards from CVS without buying them, and then bringing those gift cards into Target and trying to purchase them there. Someone posted that on the SD thread about this. Seriously some of the stuff they come up with... Well, you just couldn't make it up!

Well...that's souless thievery...

I don't quite follow the angle...but if I did i would just be able to assign proper levels of disgust - so I can live without it.

My pet peeve about Disney travel: if you have to go to such lengths then you simply can't afford to go...

...and that is ok. Your actions are not.

The current promotion is $50...can the $25 ones still get the $5?

I thought that ended in Saturday?

I'm not sure. Maybe it is just the separate ITunes then? The other GC's I bought were in pairs so it wasn't an issue.

Are you kidding me?!! That's crazy. I am curious ... did it work? I assume that it would since the store just has to sell and activate them

Really??? I don't think those people can bring their kids to Disney if they are in jail!
