Disney Gift Card Deals

No, I don't even have an issue with that. I'm talking about doing things like taking $25 Disney gift cards from CVS without buying them, and then bringing those gift cards into Target and trying to purchase them there. Someone posted that on the SD thread about this. Seriously some of the stuff they come up with... Well, you just couldn't make it up!

I also do not have a problem at all with any person who is planning a Disney vacation or just saving for one in the far off future buying as much as they can afford. My problem with so much of slickdeals is that the site is overrun by resellers. They will buy up all of what is available just to turn around and sell it hoping to make a profit. I personally know someone who does this. He hates Disney yet I'd bet the farm he cleaned out his local Target yesterday.

And that is why I cringed yesterday morning to see this deal posted on slickdeals so early...I knew I had all of two seconds to hurry up and get to Target...

I have never done it but slickdealers have been doing it for years so I assume it must work.

The current promotion is $50...can the $25 ones still get the $5?

I thought that ended in Saturday?

The ad showed Disney $50 gift card but promo is working on $25's as well.

So far, Disney $25 GC are prompting the $5 GC. Some stores are marked and some are not.

I bought $500 in $25 Disney gift cards this morning at my local Target & they rang up as qualifying for the $5 bonus card for 2 deal. It looks like they had at least that much more in stock, so I may go back another day this week, depending on how soon GCM gets its shipments to me.

Maybe stores are restocking!?! Hope so! Mine was cleaned out by noon yesterday. I am going in today to use my 20% coupon on groceries so I am going to look for more $25's.

I was able to get a $25 AMC and a $50 Disney giftcard and it prompted the cashier for the $5 Target card.

I am going to go back tomorrow to load up on Disney cards.

I'm really upset with my experiance tonight at target. Like I said before I was only allowed to get two 5$ promotional giftcards. I was treated so poorly and they were actually very mean. This was my favorite store and I don't ever want to go back there again. I don't understand how targets are so different from one another.

One Target near me always limits the # of gift cards you can purchase in one transaction, whether there's a special promotion or not. They say it's a store manager decision. Their rule is 4 like gift cards per person per day, so exactly what you were able to purchase at your Target. Maybe we shop at the same store, or maybe the managers of our respective stores have been chatting. lol

I'm sorry you felt bad, but don't waste time worrying about it, it's not worth it.

You're my hero. I'm headed back to HEB today. I wonder if I can just convert it to a regular HEB card. I really want to use it to buy their cheap gas! I didn't get a good enough deal on the one I have to make it worth buying Disney cards. It's still better for me to stick with Target for that.

No problem. And yep, if you have a Target RedCard, don't use your HEB gift cards to buy Disney Cards. Just use it to buy groceries. I made that "mistake". Cost me about $2, so I won't lose much sleep on it.

If your H-E-B will allow you to buy gas inside, that might work, for you'll need that manager override.

I went to Target over lunch today, they had a number of $25 gift cards and had them stocked in multiple places. I don't know if they ran out after last week's promo, but I suspect Disney was restocked recently as they were the only full slots in there.

I bought $300 worth of $50 gift cards in the electronic dept. I couldn't find any $25 ones.
As I was up front checking out my other purchases, the shelf was full of $25 Disney gift cards. I bought $300 more.
Wish I would have found the $25 ones before I bought the $50

I don't know about the ap but guest services will combine them all onto one of your cards if you ask.

I second the guest services option. The app doesn't let me combine anymore

You can't combine in the app, but if you use your phone (or computer) to go to the mobile website, and assuming you set up your mobile phone & pin already, you can combine them there.

Went today and bought $200 worth of Disney $25 GC. They weren't signed but prompted the GC. Tried buying some other brands as well, you cannot mix and match. I tried buying an ITunes and Starbucks and that didn't prompt the GC, must be bought in increments of two of the same.

As others said it might be that iTunes is a separate promotion. I bought one $25 Starbucks card and 11 $25 Disney cards and had no issues, though after the 3rd $5 gift card prompt the cashier started freaking out and asking a nearby manager if it should be doing that. This particular cashier always thinks people are running a scam even though I'm the person who came in and insisted on paying for a TV they never charged me for. There were tons of $25 cards at my Target all marked as well as the $50 and $100 cards. I bought enough for spending money but I'm going to go back to get enough for my (DL) parkhopper.

Okay, on my phone I went to Safari, went to Target.com, logged into my account, and went to gift cards. I see where you can add a gift card. But how do you combine them?

Eta: just realized I didn't use my phone number and pin, I used my target login and password. Where do you put the phone number and pin?

My Target was still wiped out of $25's. They let me get the deal with the $50's again but still they act all grumpy about it and like I am trying to pull a fast one lol.
