What is the benefit of using PPDG over Target? I can't quite figure that out in the past posts.
You're using your ebay bucks to purchase ebay GCs at PPDG.
The ebay bucks expire a month after they are awarded. In that month, there are fewer bonus ebay bucks offers (if any). Since you're limited to a maximum of $500 in earning ebay bucks per account in a single quarter, it makes sense to cycle through ebay as few times as is necessary to earn those $500 ebay bucks. So, you wait for the bonus bucks offers. Converting your ebay bucks from this quarter to ebay GCs (which won't expire) gives you the luxury of waiting for those bonus offers. Every time that you place an order with GCM, you're cutting into your potential earnings by paying for shipping. The fewer times that you pay for shipping, the better your savings.

Aha! Here's the other half of the question I had with @fitnessmouse. If only I'd finished reading all the posts before I commented!

So it's possible to circumvent the ban if you jump through enough hoops. However, I still wonder if the person with a banned Target card tried to open a new credit/debit card (with a new address), would they be able to avoid being linked?
So Far it appears to be linked to the card itself, so from what I've experienced at this point a new card = a new account. I think it wouldn't be in Targets best interest to ban an address because people move and that would hit them down the road.

So, if I am going to use my mom's account to try to churn (if she get's the coveted eBucks offer) do I need to set up an Ebates account for her, or can I run that through my Ebates account? I would be using her PayPal for those transactions as well.

Thank you all for this thread. I've been watching it for a while now. Started with Raise/Target/disney and evolved with your help to ebay and more. I am not one to ever log in to these or do any kind of posts but just felt I had to chime in this one. Yes it is a long thread, but there is so much useful information in it and once you get up to speed you can just stay updated daily on what's new. My long way of saying keep this thread live:thanks:. In the topic of learning the hard way, when I got up on Ebucks and had the 5x points last month I got aggressive, purchased $4,500 from Target in a week. DONT DO IT! I can no longer use "that" :teacher: account to make any 5% discounted online purchases. Banned for being a "reseller".

Sorry you got banned; but thanks for posting the datapoint. For what it's worth, I bought $1000 Ebay gc one day and $2800 the next day from Target.com back in February during a Ebay Bucks period, using Target gc from Raise or Cardpool, with no problems whatsoever. I was not aware of the possibility of a Target ban (not even aware of this thread then or similar ones - I naively thought that I had invented this "ebarget" churn myself, but I digress) -- based on your experience and others here I must have come periously close to the edge! I have made several smaller Ebay gc orders from Target since then with no troubles, never any cancellations.

I am curious - did you put any "overage" onto the Redcard? That is, the total price is a bit more than the Target gc you are using to pay and so you let the extra just go onto the Redcard. I have always done so, and saw some datapoints elsewhere in this thread that it might be a good practice to placate the Target gods, or at least avoid attention.

And second question - did you do the "add small qualifying item thing" to get Ebates cashback from Target? I have not done this yet; wonder if it may also contribute to disfavor from said Target gods when they see they are paying out such large affiliate referral fees to Ebates for that pencil you bought...

the question we really have to ask ourselves is "is it worth being banned from target.com FOR LIFE for X amount off?"

That's what I'm asking myself too! I cashed in my ebay bucks last week which doubled the amount I can churn from $900 to $1800. I converted $600 to ebay GC on Target.com two days ago and was going to do another $600 in a day or two. I'm considering taking the last $600 and converting it in store. No 5%, but maybe it keeps me under the radar. Wish I knew exactly what it is that triggers a ban from Target, but I get why they aren't going to tell us. With the $5K PayPal limit lifted, I should be able to max out the $500 ebay bucks limit on both my and DS accounts each quarter, provided we both continue to receive the bonus offers.

No, i've never applied a small amount to my redcard for my giftcard purchases. I do purchase other items. Ive also never tried the buy small items for the ebates cause IMO that will get you caught faster. I do make bigger purchases sometimes and will do ebates/target for that but again if I do that I just use the GC. im interested in the idea of tacking on a small purchase to keep the target dogs off my back :)

This is why I don't do ebates. I just think that getting CB on something you're not supposed to get CB on because you tricked the system may bring unnecessary attention to your account. That said, I have done a few orders through MP, since I didn't have to put in a qualifying item, and now Perk for the same reason. This probably draws the same amount of attention, but it seems a little less loophole-ish. Maybe its the really large orders through ebates that draw attention? I guess those could be manually reviewed due to the large payout. I had a few bigger orders when I first started in Feb (I've cut that out now, but was trying to get my full ebucks by March) but didn't go through any CB sites for those orders. Hopefully someone who has had this experience can chime in on whether they used a CB site for the transaction that got them banned.

Okay, can someone tell me what YMMV stands for. I've been trying to figure it out, in context it seems to be "proceed at own risk", but man I want to know what it actually means!

I do use ebates for my Ebay turn. Never had a problem with that and last month was a really good month.

Your Mileage May Vary. It means you might have a different experience.

Right I know many do it without a problem, I'm just curious of whether it is a common practice with those who have been banned from Target (using CB sites with Ebay in A-OK). Especially if they used it on a $2k-$3k Ebay or Disney GC purchase from Target. Its like discount sites, many use them without a problem, but some feel they may be a common denominator for those who have been banned.

What is the benefit of using PPDG over Target? I can't quite figure that out in the past posts.

PPDG deliver within the hour (usually) and have no shipping. Target (via GCM) usually have a shipping charge and take several days to a week or more to arrive. So, if you want to churn quickly, PPDG is the way to go. They also sometimes offer discounted and/or bonus cards. If you want to save 5%, but maybe miss an ebay bucks offer, and are willing to pay shipping, Target is the way to go.

Not sure if anyone has done this, but I got an ebay gift card on Swagbucks current promotion for 100 bonus SB for certain purchases. I bought a $25 ebay gift card and got 150 SBs (50 for the purchase and 100 point bonus). This comes to a 6% discount. Not too bad to get an ebay card, but it looks like you can only get the bonus once - better than nothing I suppose!

GCM is out of 100 and 150 Target cards. Is this unusual? I believe they have been out of the $150's for awhile

Maybe this is common during ebucks redemption months? This is my first one, so I wouldn't know. I know $150s have been out for the last few days at least. I bought 6 $150s on the 6th, but haven't seen any the last few times I checked. I finally broke down and got 9 $100s on the 13th and so glad I did now that they are sold out too. I need between $750 to $1800 by next Wednesday, so now I'm covered on that, just can't churn anymore through Target until I can convert more Ebay to Target. Funny though, I just went to Ebay to see what shipping would be on the $50s, and if I enter 10 $50 I'm OK, but when I try to add an 11th card it says "You've ordered the max allowed from this seller in the past 10 days". IDK if it is the number of cards I'm trying to order now (over 10) or if it is actually the $ total for the past 10 days. Anyone successfully order more than 10 cards in one order from GCM?

Nope, ebates isnt the "big" trigger. Its the magic/unknown methodology that target uses to determine someone is a "reseller". Once Target determines that you are a reseller, they lock your account and there is no getting it unlocked.

I started erewards yesterday but it says this in my account:

I wonder if they will post any for me to do??:scratchin

They will eventually. Survey offerings pop up every few days or so. Also, you can only cash out for the same reward once a month, so that might effect how often you cash out.

This is OT for this thread, but I can't PM you so I'll just respond here.

E-Rewards has a limited number of surveys. They'll occasionally email you links to surveys that you can take. Otherwise, you can download their mobile app which offers surveys far more often than online. Remember: 1 e-rewards dollar does not equal 1 USD.
