So I tried to use my Ebay bucks last night by purchasing GS from Paypal Digital Gifts and kept getting blocked by Paypal. At the same time I received emails from them saying that there was suspicious activity in my account. I decided not to make the purchase last night and gave them a call today. The rep on the phone is telling me that from what she can see the problem is that Paypal Digital Gifts is "under investigation" because they have a lot of disputes. Not sure how valid this is since from what I thought this is a Paypal "store". Anyhow, she told me to purchase the cards from another seller instead and I should have no problem. I do know that when I purchase from Gift Card Mall I have no issue with the transaction ... I'm bummed because from what I can see I won't be able to churn through GS anymore.

Really? Paypal said that? Hmm, I know PP will tell you anything to get you off the phone...I hope for all the GS churners this gets fixed soon. And please, no one go complaining about GCM...!!!!

I've had a ton of issues buying for PPDG too. I've had to verify my account a ton of times and then got the suspicious warning and had to reset my password. I'm laying off buying from them for a bit. I've decided the GS churn is too risky anyways........

I don't know if they said it to get me off the phone or not, but I only have this problem when buying from PPDGs.

This same thing happened to me last week when there was the $15 or $75 deal. I got we don't recognize your device, suspicious activity, change password etc. I think I have it straightened out but haven't tried to buy anything since then. Waiting to use my ebucks either with a promotion "hopefully" or at the end of the month.

Sometimes the agents in call centers either will make something up or will have the wrong information. Especially the call centers outsourced in other countries like India and the Philippines (in which I'm 90% sure of with Paypal). Since I work with reservations in a popular resort here in Vegas, I talk to these agents a lot everyday that call us with third parties like Expedia etc. that are the absolute worst.

EDIT: basically always book through the hotel directly when you're booking a room.

One was for Swappable, which I immediately joined because they give you a $5 credit. I tried to buy an ebay card, but it wouldn't let me (maybe they were out of stock?) and I didn't see any other cards where I could churn. However, I wanted to get a card, so I could get extra MyPoints points! Swappable was giving cash back for some of the cards, and the best deal was $20 back for a $100 Barnes and Noble card. So I paid $95, got a card that won't go to waste in my house, and got $20 to spend on an ebay card sometime in the future.

Has anyone else worked with Swappable?

I have used Swappable a few times. I get emails occasionally (probably about 1 a month) offering 2,500 points for spending $100 on gift cards through Swappable. I usually buy an ebay gift card, so I'm not sure why you couldn't today. It does sound like you got a good deal on the Barnes & Noble too!

I've been on a break from churning since March 15th because my Target orders for eBay GC's kept getting cancelled & I got scared that my account had been flagged. I just ordered a $200 eBay GC so cross your fingers for me that it goes through!

I received my March 31 GCM order this afternoon! It's not marked shipped & I didn't get tracking. I still have one from April 3rd but it's only a few days old so I'm not worried.

Just putting this info out for those who may have questions or concerns about package delivery from GCM:

I ordered on 3/29. Usually, my orders take 3-4 days to ship and then 3-4 days to arrive at my mailbox. I received a shipping notice for 3/30 that my 3/29 order shipped and departed from Denver, with an expected delivery date of 4/2. That would have been awesome! However, that truck must have taken the way around the world because as of yesterday, the tracking said "Departed Denver", and no additional scans were made in 6 days.

I searched around online to find out who to contact at USPS without going into a black hole and found some information.

1. I called my local post office and gave them the tracking number, advised that it had been almost a week since departure and 5 days past arrival date. (USPS website says to contact them if you have not received mail 5 days after shipment). They asked for the description of the package, seller, seller's address (which I did not know, though I did tell them it was coming from the Denver area).

2. I asked them to make a "Denver NDC Package Inquiry". The woman I spoke to seemed to know what I was talking about (even though I didn't), and said she would contact Denver and it should take 1-2 days of them responding.

Wouldn't you know that less than 24 hours after I called, my package ended up at my local post office. Nothing was noted on the tracking of how it got from "Departed Denver" and arrived at local post office (usually it bounces around between distribution centers), and now is scheduled to be delivered today!

Coincidence? Maybe, but I figured I would share this, just in case it helps anyone else.

When I tried using the cards at Target, they weren't activated. I called GCM and they told me that there was an error affecting some shipments, that I shouldn't have gotten the cards yet, and that it would take a few days to activate. When my order finally marked as shipped a day or two later, my cards became active.

mine was the same way, showed up today int he mail, still shows as not being shipped, had no problems turning it around and buying ebay GC

So just got my red card bill. Apparently they approved my gift card purchase sent the gift cards and then when I went in store to pick up shoes 4 days later it charged red card for the entire purchase and didn't use my 600 in gift cards. Checked the gift cards and they still have the balance. This was the first time I did in store pick up. Has anyone else had this happen?

I had an issue with this last night. The tech support last night said I had to talk to "Security" in the morning because every time I tried purchasing a BB GC from PPDG, I would get a hold on my account. "Security" in the morning said I had to talk to "Limitations". Apparently this occurs every once in a while and because I kept on trying (because that's what the website AND tech support said to do), it locked my account. "Limitations" said to try again in 24 hours and to call and ask them the first time it occurs so they can remove whatever system puts the "Hold" on the account. I don't know if that's actually the truth or not, I will have to try again tomorrow morning.

I ordered from GCM 3/31 and it sat with no progress until 4/5 when it finally was sent to shipping facility and yesterday 4/6 it left Colorado!!!

Is there a way to tell online if cards are activated without using them?
