Disney Gift Card Deals

The Kroger I go to did not have the $50 denomination cards when I went in today. The manager told me just to purchase a loadable card, and he gave me a $10 Kroger gift card to use at checkout. Easy peasy!

Don't push anything. Just check out. The computer does it, not the cashiers. The cashiers know nada about thise, most of the time. Heck, 90% of the managers are unclear.

Yup, it was fine! I picked up $400 in Disney Gift cards and got $20.00 off! Yay! Thanks everyone!

So bc of the mess at target they are giving 10% off this weekend will that apply to Disney gift cards?

Gift cards and entertainment cards are EXCLUDED from the 10% off this weekend.....

http://www.target.com/HelpContent?he...turl_10percent

10% off storewide purchase only. Saturday 12/21 through Sunday 12/22.
Excludes all gift cards, entertainment cards, airtime cards, prepaid cards, iTunes cards, Apple, Bose, all video games, Playstation 4 consoles, Xbox One consoles, Target Mobile(SM), prescriptions, optical, clinic, and alcohol purchases. Offer cannot be combined with other storewide or category/department coupons.

Wanted to keep the Gift Card deals on a single thread...

Giant Eagle is giving $10 off your next shopping trip when you spend $100 or more on Disney Gift Cards. Promo runs 2/27/14 to 3/12/14. You also get fuelperks credit as well!

You only get 1 coupon per a transaction, so if you need more than $100, it would be best to do multiple transactions. 10% off from the coupon plus $.10/gal per $50 up to 30 gallons is another $6 per $100, so it's like getting about 16% off!

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but on the podcast this week Kevin mentioned that you can go to the Disney Store and combine smaller denomination gift cards (eg. $25) into one larger card (eg. $100). I tried to do this yesterday (in Culver City, CA) and the manager said he's never heard of it and couldn't figure out how to do it. I also tried buying a large gift card online using smaller ones and that didn't work either.

Has anyone does this successfully recently? any tips on how it works?

Thanks in advance!

My Disney Store quit combining a couple of years ago. I paid for a cruise in all $25 GC via phone..... LONG phone call of me reading off a crap ton of numbers.

This use to be true sometime ago. However, their policy has changed and you can no longer combine gift cards into one large denomination .
Kevin is just not up to date with this information.

We attempted to combine cards at our Disney store yesterday. As we too watched the podcast and heard Kevin talking about combing them.
We thought Disney started to do this again...but no they can not/will not combine gift cards.

In fact, we had a long chat with the store manger...as she was trying to figure out a way to do this for us. As we have ALLOT of GC.
However, she showed us there is not even an option in their computer system to do it.

We have also tried to do it over the phone with the Disney Gift Card hotline. They will not combine cards either.

So it's sort of a pain to deal with all those GC...but for us the money savings is well worth the hassle.

Just need to be a bit OCD with record keeping and your GC.
And as noted KEEP all your gift cards- in case you have to get a refund- as they will credit the original card.

here's a tip for those using DGC on DCL (cruise)
instead of having to go to guest services on the last day (if you extra money left on your account)
go to the ships gift shop...they sell disney gift cards...and just charge the purchase to your room/ship account. You now have a new disney gift card...and don't have to wait at guest services...or wait for them to credit your original GC.
As some people are posting on the cruise boards they have wait 8+weeks and still not had the money refunded back to their GC.

we keep requesting Target to carry higher limit Disney Gift Cards.
one can only hope that they will listen.

This is brilliant! What denominations do they carry? The only problem . . . we never had money left over. :sad1:

What is the highest Target GC goes?? I know Sam's Club has a $50 gc for @ $42.xx

Target only goes up to $50.

Sams sells $50 Disney gift cards for $42??? Really?? Are those just the ones that can be used in the Disney stores, or are they generic gift cards that we can use on DCL?

it use to be $25.00 for us

but our Target now only has $50.00 disney GC
whooo!

though around christmas time they have a few $100.00 ones
not many though and they were on an isle end cap in a random location.
I think we found them at the end of the coffee isle.

Can you combine the Ebates 2.5% with target 5% on the GCs? Or is that not an eligible purchase for the Ebates cash back?

I think I've checked that before and it doesn't work. The best thing I've been able to figure out is to buy Target gift cards when Kroger is running their 4x fuel promotion (which works out to 14% off given in fuel savings). Then take the Target gift cards to Target and buy Disney gift cards using your 5% pharmacy coupon. Total discount works out to over 20%.
