Disney Gift Card Deals

Just want to make sure I understand this - I should be able to use the 5% redcard & 5% pharm rewards, correct? Also, what denominations do they usually carry - when I last checked, my Target only had $25 cards. It will take quite awhile to buy all those & use them for a trip, I'm hoping to find a larger denomination.

Yes. The biggest denomination Target carries is $50.

Does anyone know how much say target makes on a Disney giftcard? I would think what ever that margin is would be the best deal we could ever find. I doubt they would lose money on it. My guess is around 12%.

The $25 GC was brought out for Christmas time. Target typically only carries the $50 GCs and these can be found hanging near the checkout stands :)

At BJs when you spend $100, a coupon prints out for $10 off your next $100 purchase. Gift cards are NOT listed as an exclusion. Thinking of buying $100 of Disney cards (cost is $95, then buying something else for $5.) Then turn around and keep repeating. Anyone try this? Is it dumb?
While the $10 discount worked when buying the gift cards and another item for $105, alas, no more $10 discounts printed out at the register. So maybe that great discount is over. boo hoo

I was just at Target on Sunday and tried to get a few Disney gift cards for our upcoming trip and get the 5% discount with my Redcard. They said they don't do that! :( Is this new???

I just purchased $200 Disney gift cards today at Target and used my Redcard 5% off. I would try it again though because when I asked a cashier where they moved the gift card rack to, she told me they didn't sell Disney giftcards. I went to customer service and they showed me where they were. :)

I just bought a $50 Disney gift card last night and got the 5% off, at the Target on 192 in Kissimmee FL near Orange Lake.

Really??? I will push it then! I'm going to head back this weekend and try again!!! Thank you!

You shouldn't have to push it as they don't have to approve it. The register automatically does the discount AFTER your swipe your redcard. Regardless of what they think it should do, the register will either discount it or not. No one has reported yet that it has stopped being in effect.

I got $2350 in GCs with the pharmacy 5% and RedCard 5% yesterday. While I was counting out the GCs, the manager came up and asked if I had a RedCard so I could get 5% off. She was trying to get a credit app.

I just used my Red Card yesterday to buy 2 Disney cards and a few other entertainment cards - worked with no problems. As a PP said, don't ask, just do it. The cashier will ring up your cards and the Red Card will automatically take off the 5% when you scan it through the reader.

Don't push anything. Just check out. The computer does it, not the cashiers. The cashiers know nada about thise, most of the time. Heck, 90% of the managers are unclear.

It will work no matter what if you slide your Amex or visa to buy it target eats the 2-3% of fees anyways. The whole reason the red card exists they don't pay a swipe fee.

Just saw a tweet from Kroger, they're offering $10 off a $50 Disney GC when you download a coupon to your Kroger card from their website. Too bad they waited until after my vacation to do this!:lmao:

Our coupon is only good for $5 off $50, but I will take it! Every little bit helps!

That's my plan! :)
I got my redcard in the mail yesterday! So excited to use it soon!!
