I'm new to the boards, and have read prob 200 pages of posts before asking this, but I'm still not sure I have it totally right.

So I buy the ebay gift cards from target and then use the ebay gift cards to buy target gc on ebay....
Question 1. I don't get the 5% redcard discount on target.com for the ebay cards right? so how is this generating much $, even shopping through ebates?
Question 2. How do I find good target giftcards on ebay? I can't find where to find cards from GCM like you all keep talking about? Just individual sellers....

No, CVS does not allow you to use a gift card to pay for other gift cards.

CVS does sell Disney gift cards, but they won't allow you to by them with a CVS gift card.

You can get 5% off of your eBay GC purchase on target .com if you have a Target REDCard and use it to make your purchase or at least have it set as your default form of payment when using Target GCs.

Gift Card Mall is an eBay merchant and they sell Target GCs...sometimes at a discount. They just had $100 Target GCs for $95 with free shipping. However, they sold out of that deal by this morning.

CVS does not permit you to purchase GCs with a CVS GC.

1. Yes you get 5% off buying eBay gift cards at target.
2. There is a store called gift card mall on eBay. They sell target gift cards. For example, They have a sale this week for $100 target cards for $95. But, they sold out for now. Waiting for a sale like that is a good idea or when eBay has a promotion for 3X or 4x or 5x eBay bucks.

This is what I do:
login to Target.com
put the gift card in my cart
go to cart and "proceed to check out"
when the payment screen comes up, I select my Target Redcard, I have a debit card so I enter my PIN
hit "save and continue"
on the "Review your order" screen, you should now see that the 5% was taken off your total
now look to the right of the "complete order" button, you will see an option to "Pay with a Target gift card"
You can now enter up to 4 gift cards for payment and the 5% should still be there.

That should be it. I use the desktop, full version of Target's website though. Sometimes I get tripped up when I try to use the mobile version and I won't even touch their app.

They just sold out this afternoon .. I figured that would happen with everyone's GCM cards arriving!! Wondering if the $50 ones are close behind ...

EDIT: aaaand they're back in stock again .. that was the quickest replen on those I've ever seen! lol must have been a glitch ..

Last night I was buying some things for my upcoming trip and wanted to use the free $5 and $10 GC toward the purchase, hit 'save and continue' after entering my PIN and it went straight to here's your confirmation thanks for shopping at Target... what the heck. No big deal but have never seen that happen.

I was JUST coming back to say that! It was strange though...when I click on view product it says not available but if I just add it to my cart, it works. I bought $600 worth for now. We'll do a little at a time...

Sometimes it depends on how you search. If I use GC tab at the top and select the eBay option at the left it only generates the $200 GC. If I search eBay in the search field I will get all denomination options. So if they appear out, try changing up your search methods.

In the past, I have bought tickets through Orbitz using the Ebates portal when they had a daily double promotion on activities. Today it's at 3.75%, which isn't bad. Maybe check Travelocity or Expedia too; sometimes they have buy 4 days get 3 free or something similar.

Hmmm. Perk is out of $25 Target GCs as well. I don't accrue kicks fast enough to cash out for $25 of anything. I used to cash in for $5 Target GCs back when you could combine them. My last couple of redemptions have been for Starbucks.

The 25.00 gift cards are back... Of course after I get 10.00 ones. Oh well. 50.00is 50.00!!!

Does anybody here use a Safeway? They offer bonus fuel points in their "Just for U" coupon app and I wondered if those apply to gift cards? It says "standard exclusions apply" as the only small print. I had a bonus of both .20 per gallon and .40 per gallon the other day. Since I don't usually shop there I just stopped in to grab some things and didn't even think about experimenting with gift cards Since they already offer double fuel points on gift cards that might work out to be a good deal. Now I have used up that offer so I need to wait for another to show up. Between the Monopoly game and the fuel points Safeway is reeling me in!

But man, I REALLY hate trying to figure out how points translate to $ off. I mean I know how. I get there eventually. But it just seems like an excessive brain struggle.

ETA: Bonus points are not good on GC purchases. When looking at the coupon on my computer it wouldn't show the fine print but it showed on my phone. Good to know. I am still tempted to try it next time.

I used cards I spent $190 (=5%) on at Target, to buy two $100 cards, for $190,(=5%) saving $10 for future use (I think left on the card still), and got back $3.80 ebucks (=1.9%) and should get $3.80 TCB" (1.9%). Plus 2% shipping savings = 15.8%, with no Raise risk.

Yes, your $10 should still be on one of your cards. Its odd how ebay/paypal applies the gift cards . . . instead of depleting cards in the order you enter them, they take funds based on the gift card number. You should be able to view the transaction in paypal and see which cards were used and the corresponding amounts debited from both.Jodie

To add... I keep a spreadsheet of all the giftcard numbers I receive and the balance remaining on them. As Jodie pointed out, you can go into your order to see how Paypal decided to use the gift cards, as it's rarely how you or I would think to use them. Then record that gift card # and the balance remaining somewhere.

The good news is that partial gift cards can't be stolen from you - once you start to use them, they're forever linked to only that Paypal account.
Savings = 1 - (what you started with/what you ended up with)

So if you spent $190, but ended up with..
$200 Target
$10 ebay
$3.80 ebucks
$3.80 TCB

1 - (190/217.60) = .12683 or about 12.7%
Or you could use 4 at a time to buy $200 ebay cards. Whatever option you prefer.

It is standard that they limit your dis gc purchase amount, however the limit had always been 4 $50 cards at one time and 3 $100 cards at one time.
