Disney Gift Card Deals

Just getting 2x isn't enough for me, I guess. Since I have lots of time, I plan to wait for 4x or 5x offers before churning. I don't want to burn through my $5000 limit too fast.

so looks like maybe it's a monthly (sort of) thing?

Getting any promo probably happens, on average 2-3 times a month. Getting a deal that's 4x or higher is probably more like once a month. There is no set schedule, however, and no guarantee of future deals.

Do you have a trip planned? How far out?

We are going the end of this month, but I finished the churning for this trip in December. I am now working towards our next trip in 2018. I am hoping to get this entirely "free" through Swagbucks, Perk, etc and churning. Already have saved up $650 in the last 1.5 month, so well on my way.

I'm so glad today was only two times. My 5,000 partially resets on the 13th so I'm anxiously waiting on that date and a good 4x or 5x!

It's not enough for me either. My minimum was 3x but now that I have almost reached my 5k, I think I'm changing my min to 4x or 5x.

Thank you, wendow! Just getting started with TCB. Thinking maybe I better put in inquiry tickets on a couple things, just in case. Seems a little weird there is a payout time listed but no cash back listed, lol.

I also just almost got tricked with the 4% eBay bucks promo, argh! Now not sure if I should do it with $900 or not. How much would make then?

Absolutely put in tickets if it doesn't look right.

The 4% is $36 in ebucks but you will have some shipping fees depending on which denomination you buy. It's not bad money but I am finding you reach the 5k surprisingly fast so 4% just isn't worth it to me when they will offer better. It really depends on how much time you have before you need to cash out.

Same here, except that I also reached my $5,000 limit so opened a new account and started getting them right away. I use a different email, bank acct and credit card for the new acct. I wonder if my old account will ever receive the offers again?

Did you open a new ebay and paypal account?

Thanks everyone for talking this through "out loud" here. I was tempted to move some of my eBay back to Target since I've changed up my plans for Disney in March and need to drop another $500 there. However, I think I can scrape up enough Target GCs to get me over the hump from Swagbucks and Perk, so I'll save my stash for a 4x deal.

I actually have opened another Paypal under my dh's name. I know that is maybe a no-no but he has his own credit cards; why can't he has his own paypal? Anyways, he does have a ebay acct (already had that) so he will now use his paypal. Problem is, his account doesn't get very many ebucks (did not get one today or the one before). So, debating whether to create a new ebay account for him. He has received ebucks promos in the past so maybe I just need to see if he gets the next one. Anyone create new ebay accounts to try to get the promos and has it worked?

Can I go through my ebay account, which receives all the promos, but pay through his paypal, or is that just asking to be flagged?

Yes, I created a new eBay account last month because my old one hit the $5,000 limit and was not receiving the eBucks offers anymore. I also created a new paypal account at the same time and linked it to a different bank account. I started receiving the eBay bucks promos almost right away on the new account, but funny enough, I did not receive today's offer, go figure!

The $5000 limit doesn't apply to your Ebay account. The limit is from Paypal. I have spent $7200 in Ebay GCs on my one Ebay account. I have used 2 different Paypal accounts. I have received all 3 offers this year.

So, if I understand what you are saying, I could use my ebay account (which has also received 3 offers this year and seems to get about 95% of the promos) but use the new paypal acct I created under my dh's name?

I thought your paypal was tied to your eBay account?

EDIT: I guess it's a security option where you can link your eBay with your Paypal.

Really recommend you not tie different eBay and different Paypals together. From FrequentFliers, I feel like Paypal do actively ban people for credit card spending churning as well.

Yeah, I am concerned about getting banned or raising any kind of awareness to my account. Maybe best thing is just to open another ebay and link to my dh's Paypal in hopes that the new ebay account gets more ebucks offers than his current account does.

Thank you, again, wendow! Well that'd be $8 shipping at best, if I could get the $150 cards. So I'd get $28 dollars. And about $9 or $10 from TCB eventually, hopefully. Not bad, but for the $5000 limit. My trips are in May to DL and in Nov to WDW.
Part of me feels like I'm leaving $28+ dollars out there, but that annoying limit. Hmm.

Funny, I was gonna say that exact same thing! It's definitely nice to talk things through 'outloud' here, with people who get it, and, know what they're doing!

I'm pretty sure this would work, but I would not do it. Seems too likely to get noticed -- or, cause problems if you have to file a claim or something. You can already have 2 Paypal accts of your own, so there is no need to have a Paypal acct in his name unless you're trying to get 3. If I was doing that, I'd open a new Ebay account to match the name. It would be confusing if you ever use that for normal activity and the seller name on Ebay does not match the seller name on Paypal.
