Disney Gift Card Deals

Well, I'm not sure what happened. I placed 22 separate orders Sunday for 3 $100 cards + 1 ruler (via Ebates). Received 21 emails tonight that the GCs are being refunded to my order, and 21 other emails with a $285 Target e-GC - which means it looks like I might still be getting the 21 rulers that I don't want.

I've done this order process before without a hiccup, though not 21 in a day. I guess I'll try a single order and see what happens.
Why not space your orders out just a little???
I'm wondering if you still received your Ebates $ for the cancelled orders. That has happened to me before.

I belong to a Disney FB group and two people have been banned from target for being resellers. One person said she ordered $1800 over two days and went to make another purchase and the order was immediately canceled. After a while she was told she was flagged as a reseller and not allowed to shop online anymore.

Eta 1/2 used gift card zen (I asked). Haven't heard on the other.

I was shopping at my local target yesterday and when I went in I stopped to look at the current sale ad. There was a notice posted about their reseller policy in the sale ad case. May have been there for a while but this was the first time I ever noticed it. Appears there are cracking down both online and in store.image.jpeg

When you go to your Target order history does it say your orders were cancelled? If so, you may have been banned. But if the ruler is still being shipped (you guys need to stop ordering rulers - Target is going to get rid of Disney giftcards entirely at some point!) then your order wasn't cancelled.

Re:ebates I purchased kid art craft kits as presents and they received the cash back. Dishwashing gloves did not. The website said not available on household essentials. I would imagine clothing items (socks, etc) would include the cash back.
I agree.
Are you still banned from Target .com, or were you able to plead your case and get the ban lifted?

I looked up the history of the card I purchased through GiftcardZen, and all deductions from before I bought it were for $95. My guess is, the previous owner got banned, and resold the card.
Target, however, has those cardnumbers in their system, as belonging to someone who was banned.
so when I tried to use it,it got me banned as well.

So now I'm thinking that @PerfessorZ suggestion of starting with GCM through Ebay to get 'clean' Target cards is safer

That sort of makes sense.

I decided to quit using Raise / Gift Card Zen etc... when the banning started. I had a suspicion it was the origin of the gift cards, but what you says makes perfect sense. I think you can still get banned as a reseller if you are doing crazy ridiculous buys (like a million orders in one day), but the kicker was these gift cards. I have purchased Disney cards since the banning with no problem.

I also think the eBay churning could at some point lead to banning. I don't think buying $10K / year in eBay gift cards is a good idea.

Twenty-two separate orders of the maximum number of an item per order in a single day was bound to trip their fraud software. If you haven't been following this thread, there were posters who said that Target .com banned them from making online purchases...forever...under the suspicion of being resellers. Your account may have been flagged for questionable activity.

ruh-roh...

No, I haven't followed this thread that closely - just check in here and there. I think I had made 10 orders before on a day without a problem. It was a lazy Sunday afternoon so I thought I would exhaust my supply of GCs. I did also enter a new shipping address (work instead of home) - maybe that triggered something too.

They gave me 21 e-GCs. I hope/assume that I'm not banned - going to make it a little difficult to use those. If I am banned on that account, is there anything that would stop my from setting up a different account?

Guess I'll lay low for a bit, then try a single order to see what happens.

So what are good cheap items to add to a target order to get the ebates cash back? It seems very hit and miss on that. last time I ordered three different shirts with the order and only got cash back from one of the orders. I want to mix it up a bit as not to cause suspicion.
thanks

Getting ebates to credit for the orders is hit and miss. Shirts should work.

Items I typically will add to try for credit: school glue, glue sticks, index cards, spiral notebooks, pencils, pens, markers, colored pencils, folders...all of those items have credited at least once. But some have not credited and that is just because the system is not 100%. Also, I ordered party supplies recently and those credited.

So, interesting on the giftcardzen cards. Has that now been the link between all these cases of bannings?

Wow, although it would be nice if we could connect the bannings to 1 thing (giftcardzen). I checked and I only ordered target cards from them once, in May, and that was only $222.21 at 11% off (I got $1000 in southwest cards from gcz as well, for $920, but that hopefully wouldn't affect target purchases). I have been sticking to target cards from swagbucks and kroger for a while now, hoping to avoid the drained card issue.

For those wondering about Ebates:

Cash Back Terms
Exclusions: Cash Back is not available on grocery, household commodities and essentials, baby care items (diapers, wipes, food, and toiletries), pet supplies, video games and consoles, music, books, contract mobile phones, prepaid and gift cards, Target Pharmacy and OTC, Target Photo, Target Optical, Target Café, SweetJOJO, and orders deemed by Target to be for resell.

Special Terms: Free Gift Cards: Orders which receive a free gift card will have the Cash Back eligible amount of order reduced by the amount of the free gift card.

Certainly there's SOMETHING you can buy from Target (they sell almost EVERYTHING!) that will qualify for cash back. I don't think it's that difficult. I bought my kids' Valentine's cards yesterday and got credit for them. Picking them up in the store today. I've bought wine glasses - a four pack of stemless wine glasses- for $3.99 and got credit. Holiday decorations, a $3 t-shirt here, clearance pajamas there, dish towels, birthday gifts, Christmas gifts, folder for school, a new printer that we NEEDED... the list goes ON!

I've bought printer paper and glue sticks and both of those orders got the full ebates credit. For my most recent order I went through MyPoints, and those points show as pending on my account. It says they will be available on 3/1, so my guess is they don't credit until the return period has expired.

So, I tried that ebates thing last month where you buy a "throw away" item with your GC purchase. I received 4 cents from ebates originally, then they took the 4 cents away! They also have yet to post my ipad purchase from Target.com.
I dmit to not following this site religiously, due to work and being ill. Can anyone update me quickly on any changes with Ebates, in regards to the "trick with the throw away ite?" (my added item were party napkins with Mickey, of course.)

Do you know if that can be savings accounts, or has to be checking?? Also, can you just link to credit cards?
While a checking account is more commonly used, those who prefer using a savings account can link it to their PayPal account to pay for their purchases. Log in to your PayPal account. Click “Profile,” “My Money” and then “Add My Bank.”

I'm going to try to buy eBay GC's again at Target.com, wish me luck, I'm a little nervous because I don't wan to get frustrated over another failure, lol. But assuming the Target GCs are all gone what do you do with the eBay GC, just leave them in your email inbox until you are ready to use them? Thanks
Yeap

I sure hope you are not banned now by Target.com. I do not think 22 orders in one day was wise at all.

I also think people need to vary up what they order instead of a ruler every time.
Just use mypoints and skip the ruler.

If she had made the same exact order 22 times, it is possible that they thought it was an error and canceled out of caution.

I'm wondering if you still received your Ebates $ for the cancelled orders. That has happened to me before.
I would be surprised if she got 22 ebates if they hadn't canceled her order. Ebates tends to confuse multiple purchases for the same order and only credit one.
