Disney Gift Card Deals

Well, I'm not sure what happened. I placed 22 separate orders Sunday for 3 $100 cards + 1 ruler (via Ebates). Received 21 emails tonight that the GCs are being refunded to my order, and 21 other emails with a $285 Target e-GC - which means it looks like I might still be getting the 21 rulers that I don't want.

I've done this order process before without a hiccup, though not 21 in a day. I guess I'll try a single order and see what happens.
Twenty-two separate orders of the maximum number of an item per order in a single day was bound to trip their fraud software. If you haven't been following this thread, there were posters who said that Target .com banned them from making online purchases...forever...under the suspicion of being resellers. Your account may have been flagged for questionable activity.

OMG!! Argh!! I got my Target gifts cards turned into Ebay cards, all set to go and I go in to Ebay just now, put the $50 cards(all that's left, of course), in my cart and try to check out. It says to lower the amount, I do and start to check out and suddenly they say there's nothing in my cart, there are no gift cards available! Argh! I'm sure it's pretty unlikely they'll be back in stock anytime tomorrow so looks like I missed out this time around! Ugh, I was going to try to get my targets cards into my account so I'd be ready to buy anytime, the other day, but I didn't really expect another ebay bucks offer so soon after the last one!
I'm going to try to buy eBay GC's again at Target.com, wish me luck, I'm a little nervous because I don't wan to get frustrated over another failure, lol. But assuming the Target GCs are all gone what do you do with the eBay GC, just leave them in your email inbox until you are ready to use them? Thanks

I usually keep a spreadsheet. And good luck!

Good luck, I hope it works great! Yep, I'm just hanging on to my codes for next time! The last eBay bucks promo was less than two week ago. So, hopefully we'll be seeing another one again soon, maybe even 4x or 5x! (Words of hopeful wisdom from PerfessorZ, lol). Then when that next promo offer pops up I'll be all set and ready to head to eBay right away, which should be good for the target cards being in stock! Assuming I see the email soon enough, lol! Even if I never got another offer, I could still buy target cards and get the regular eBay bucks that are offered which is better than nothing. And, just a heads up, I've checked several times and the target cards were still sold out. Let us know how your target shopping trip with the discount goes! I'll cross my Minnie ears for you, lol!

It seems that your hypothetical first step should be Target gcs@Raise-Ebay gcs@Target. Then you only have to wait a few hours for Ebay gcs to work. Then onto what you said. Or not, I'm tired.

That's another way to do it. Buying the Target GCs does make you more $ in the short term. It would depend where you are in the churning cycle. If you've been doing it for a bit and have chewed into your $5k window some (or plan to), then your goal is more maximizing how much you can make in those $5k worth of transactions, and buying Target GCs just gets you a 5% discount before you start eating into that limit, vs. this method, which gets you 8.8% PLUS that 5%.

If you needed to cash out soon, though, you're look to maximize your profits, so buying Target first, as you suggested, would be the better play, provided you weren't up hard against that 5k GC limit.

I sure hope you are not banned now by Target.com. I do not think 22 orders in one day was wise at all.

I also think people need to vary up what they order instead of a ruler every time.

Thanks for sharing this. I need to consider it as I go forward since I 'chewed' through my 5k so fast lol.

I personally am just excited I got Mr. Linzjane88's Ebay login :dogdance:. I didn't think I had gone through as much as I really had. Now here's to hoping he gets the deals.

Here's to my giftcard peeps stayin' under that radar!:tiptoe:

Nothing's more frustrating than having a 5x deal pop up and you're still waiting for your last order to be delivered from GCM ;)

Right?! Oh, I'd be so mad and frustrated!

What is the minimum percent y'all try to get off the target cards? I was shopping around on raise and i see they're only around 5% right now. I mean some savings is better than none of course :)

The best I personally have seen/purchased is slightly over 6%. I'll buy at 5% but probably not lower than that. Sometimes I catch myself getting nitpicky - "Well, this one is 5.5% and this one is 5.6%" then I realize it's pennies of a difference, haha.

I"m trying these days to only buy 7% and up, got one last Friday! I was able to get some between 7-9% back late August, early September when I was getting my DD25 some cards for her trip. Hoping to do more of that in the next months!

Ha, yeah, I'm like that with gas when the price goes down, lol! But usually then I realize that even if I'd waited and bought after the price drop, usually I'd have only saved less than a dollar, lol! Still bugs me, though, lol.

the high i've seen is in the 7% but those always go before i can get my information logged in :P
thanks for the info :D

Now I open topcashback first, then raise, and log in before I look around, lol! Otherwise I get too frustrated, lol! I generally do that when I'll be on the computer awhile and leave the tabs up to check periodically.

For those of you who use your Disney gift cards in the parks to pay for smaller things (as opposed to using them toward your hotel or something), do you prefer to combine your balances into one larger one and use that one for all purchases, or keep your cards separate? I hate having to keep track of several cards and their corresponding receipts (on the rare occasion I do have to return a merchandise item... it has happened and you do have to have the exact card you used), but conversely, the thought of potentially losing EVERYTHING if my entire balance is one card freaks me out. What do you all do?

I had two cards I was using. I had one that was only for food and then one I only used for souvenirs, so I knew which card I needed if I was returning something. With the food card, we had some money on there, while saving some cards in the account, and added more after we'd used most of the balance on the ones going into the parks with us.

I had a thought... (I know, dangerous!).......
Somebody is very good at math, lol! And that's pretty interesting, gonna keep that in mind, just in case, lol!

I am gonna ask again, but will GCM mail $200 worth of cards to a PO Box?

I'm still trying to perfect my system lol. I'm a little confused about the different cashback options available and preferred. Below is what I know (or think I know), the indented lines are unanswered questions. If you don't mind sharing, please add to, correct or provide your personal opinion on the info below:
Ebates
does not work for Raise.com
requires specific purchases with the GC purchase at Target.com to get the 2%
easy to tell you are linked in and purchases show up quickly
payout in cash (check)
MyPoints
does work for Raise.com purchases (I think)
does not require a specific purchase for GC purchases at Target.com
seems to pay 2% but states something a bit less
I seem to have a problem when linking to a store and never really know if I am going to get the cashback
delayed (compared to Ebates) cashback confirmation
other cashback opportunities besides purchases
payout in GC's
Swagbucks
does work for Raise.com purchases
does it require specific purchases with the GC purchase at Target.com to get the cashback?
is it easy to tell you are linked in and how is the purchase tracking?
does it payout in cash or GC's?
iConsumer
pays 4% but has paid out up to 8% for a limited time
restricts payout opportunities to $20 a month
payout in cash (I think)
does it work for Raise.com?
does it require specific purchases with the GC purchase at Target.com to get the cashback?
is it easy to tell you are linked in and how is the purchase tracking?
Thanks so much, your support and expertise is very much appreciated!

So you can't store the GC on eBay or Paypal like you can with Target GC on Target.com. I just joined eBay and my only experience with Paypal was to accept payments when I rented my DVC points. It's a little confusing, it seems like eBay and Paypal are one in the same, but not.? I need to get a spreadsheet going if I am going to incorporate the eBay steps into this evolving system I am amassing lol. Thanks

Yay, it worked! You can uncross your ears ;) I am all ready for my 1st eBay Target purchase. Thank you

So what are good cheap items to add to a target order to get the ebates cash back? It seems very hit and miss on that. last time I ordered three different shirts with the order and only got cash back from one of the orders. I want to mix it up a bit as not to cause suspicion.
thanks

When you go to your Target order history does it say your orders were cancelled? If so, you may have been banned. But if the ruler is still being shipped (you guys need to stop ordering rulers - Target is going to get rid of Disney giftcards entirely at some point!) then your order wasn't cancelled.

Re:ebates I purchased kid art craft kits as presents and they received the cash back. Dishwashing gloves did not. The website said not available on household essentials. I would imagine clothing items (socks, etc) would include the cash back.

Swagbucks

does it require specific purchases with the GC purchase at Target.com to get the cashback? I haven't gotten credit for just gift cards. Want to say gift cards are excluded.
is it easy to tell you are linked in and how is the purchase tracking? It will show in your shopping history.
does it payout in cash or GC's? Pays in sb. Some transactions can take 30 days to credit

. I use glue sticks since they are $.50 for a two pack and my kids can use them or I can donate them to school.

To the person with the message saying the eBay gift card couldn't be applied - I got the same thing. I ordered $450 worth of target gift cards through GCM. I was nervous because I never received a shipping confirmation. They randomly showed up one day this week. The next day I signed on to order another $450 and got the same message. I believe it may be because my PayPal account isn't verified. I thought it was because I have my debit card on there but maybe I need my actual account info in there. I don't know - PayPal is a big mystery to me, and I haven't had a lot of time to fool with it this week. I thought about calling them to see if they could help me verify my account. Probably something simple that I'm missing. I think with an unverified account you are limited to $500 in 30 days.

  • I also took pictures of the reverse side of several GCs with my phone. When I ran out of digital GCs, I deleted those cards and loaded the ones in the pictures to the Disneygiftcard .com accounts. Then I combined them with my physical GCs.

I know this was a few pages back, but this is such a great idea (which I have used in the past). I made physical copies of all of mine last time and kept one copy at home and one copy in our suitcase (we drove and stayed at a condo, so minimal risk of theft). For me, it minimizes the worry of losing a card or needing a card for a refund when I accidentally threw it away.
