Disney Gift Card Deals

8% is pretty good, especially since they've been below 3% for a couple months! I did get a small $25.90 for 24.00 card at 8% off last night. I figure even the little ones count, lol. I'm seeing 7% on $1000 and $2000(too high for me, lol), at the moment, but I'm gonna be keeping an eye on it tonight as I'm reading the forums here on WDW and DL!

Dugette, how do you get alerts for cards over 10% off?
I was lucky enough to pick up about $282 at the 8%, which was great for buying $300 of Disney cards at $285. There were more too, but I stopped at that, thinking maybe I'll catch a higher discount? :confused3 I only need maybe $1k more for the trips we're coming up on soon.

For the alerts, you can go into your settings in Raise and set alerts for certain cards, percentages, dollar amounts, etc. I originally had 5%+ for Target and my email was being filled up by that, so I upped it to like 8%. But they are ALWAYS gone when I look, even immediately after the email comes in. I got my 8% by just randomly checking Raise, as I sometimes do. I like the Raise app to be able to check and purchase quickly.

By the way, interesting to look at the details of the alerts received. Most really high discounts are very small cards it seems, but I got an alert today (I think) that was like 24% and it was a $200 card! Wish I'd gotten that one!

Oh nice! I've got a Raise tab up and all signed in and randomly check just in case, lol. I read your post and went in and set my alert for 9%, but I think I might switch it to 8%. I'll probably miss all the good stuff, too, lol, but maybe I'll get lucky here once in a while. I have the raise app on my phone as well, though I don't usually check as often as I forget or I'm busy at work.

That's interesting about the the high discounts on low cards, but heck those will add up. That's crazy for the 24% one for $200, dang, I wish I'd seen that one! Usually if I see something great, get it in my cart, I lose it by what seems a few seconds as it's getting paid for and suddenly says someone else got it! Ah, sort of a game, lol, definitely addicting! Thanks for your helpful answers, I appreciate it! My ebates is looking good, too, now I just gotta find and keep track of ebay bucks and hope for a good sale!

Ooh, I just missed a 10% alert on $200 Target card and 11.3% on a smaller card. By the time on the email alert, I missed seeing it as I had the page open then, by minutes, lol! Argh, lol
But, thanks again, Dugette, glad to have this alert set! I think, lol! Hopefully I don't obsess about all the ones I miss, lol!

I have tried purchasing with 100% gift cards and also purchasing to where some goes on my Redcard. I am having no trouble getting my Redcard discount to show up. It is always there and the order goes through. But then about 12 hours later I get a cancellation.
Are you buying eBay cards? Try setting up a new target account with a different email. I did it in my DH's name but put in my red card. I had multiple orders with my original account canceled but the new account went through. Wondering if my original account has been flagged.

I have been reading about buying target gift cards on raise from all of you. Do you buy an egift card and then transfer to your target account online? Or do you buy the physical gift cards?

Don't bother with the email alerts. I NEVER get them in time to purchase. In fact... I purchased a 9% off gift card on Raise by chance, and had the gift card in my inbox before I got my alert. You really just have to be on Raise at the right time to score high discount cards.

What I am using the alerts for is notice that the average discount of available GC is higher. When all the Target GC were 3-4% I got very few notifications, now that they are in the 6-7% range I get a lot more.

so if I bought a target gs on Raise,at a discount of 6% qhich I can see right now, that's basically getting a disney gc at 6% discount, which I can apply to room payment, that's about it,right?

I am so glad Raise updated their website to allow the chip card information to be stored now. Such a time saver!

It can actually be 11% if you have a target red card set up as the default payment method on your account because the 5% red card discount still comes off when you pay with a target gift card. You can also get more of a deal by using shopping portals on both the raise.com purchase and the target.com purchase-read through the thread and you'll find lots of suggestions.

Yes, eBay cards. I wondered if creating a new account would work. Thank you for suggesting that. I am going to try and see if that will work for me too.

Like CNMJ suggested, use that Target gift card to purchase a Disney one online. If you have your Redcard set as a default payment, you will save an additional 5% on the Disney card.

You can also save a little more by going through topcashback.com before you purchase the gift card from Raise. They pay 2% in cashback. Also, whatever credit card you use should net you at least 1% back. So, at a minimum, you can save 14%.

I think topcashback is only 1% for target gift cards from raise. It's 2% for most other gift cards. But still worth it.

I've begun working ebates into the mix... how long does it take for the rebate to show up in your account. I've made two purchases but my balance is still $0.
