Anyone having the issue of getting the 5% red card discount? It's there when I add it to my cart but once I put my gift card in, it disappears.

Mine worked fine. I had to initially choose to pay with my RedCard, then on the next screen there was an option to edit payment method (top left of the screen for me on my laptop). I edited to pay with my giftcards and at checkout, the 5% redcard discount was still there even though the total purchase amount was less than the giftcard balance.

I ordered something to take me over $300 that I'll just return in store, but it's more of a hassle than I want. I'm not sure why it's not working for me.

Do you have your RedCard stored as your default card? Or are you just adding it from scratch on the payment screen?

No, it's stored. It's the default payment, then on the right side of the screen below the breakdown I hit pay with a target gift card. When I save and continue after adding my gift card, the 5% comes off.

Here's my summary (rather than searching for a post). Use Target gift cards to buy ebay gift cards. You get 5% off if red card is default payment. Sometimes Target has these on sale (e.g., $100 ebay gift card for $90 + 5% off with red card). Use the ebay gift card to buy Target gift card from gift card mall. Go through ebates (sometimes it is 1%, sometimes it's been 0%). Gift card mall sometimes has Target gift cards on sale and then the shipping is free. Otherwise it's about $3 for the first card, $1 each card after (so you want $100 cards). Gift card mall is often out of $100 cards. Get ebay bucks on purchase. Hopefully ebay has a 4x ebay bucks special running (I have yet to be invited to such an offer). If the stars align, ebay is running 4x ebay bucks, gift card mall has a promotion, and Target has ebay gift cards on sale.

Is there one website you use to know when the ebay gift cards go on sale at target Or when the target gift cards go on sale with ebay?
I feel like I am always a day behind because I don't check this board frequently enough and never know when it's happening.
Someone mentioned slick deals but when I logged on there last night I didn't see any gift cards deals. Thanks for your help!

hmmm. I edited my payment method using the link on the left, not under the breakdown. Maybe that makes a difference?

None for me! I don't trust Target not to mess up by not activating the Disney GCs before shipping when they have a rush like they will today. I can wait, so I will. But just by checking the Target website, I can see that you're limited to 3 $100 GCs and 4 $50 GCs in a single order.

My 2 gift cards were active too just placed my orders-hopefully they have enough gift cards in stock to fill everyone's orders
If they sell out before 10 central time today (when they were supposed to be activated) I bet there will be a lot of disappointed people.

I just logged on, I see the limit of 3 per order. Knock on wood, I have had an issue with activation, but you raise a good poing. Maybe I'll wait to order the rest too.

I learn about most of it from this thread. Slickdeals seems a little over the top for me. I check hip2save, but they usually don't have these deals. If ebay cards are on sale, it should start on a Sunday so you can check Target online on Sunday mornings (I've seen them on sale twice in the last five months I believe). These deals come and go quickly and I get frustrated when I miss a good one, but I've learned so much from this thread that I'm still doing quite well.

I believe the limits are:
you can purchase 3 of each like-type card;
you can pay with up to 4 Target Gift Cards.
So I ordered 3-$100 Dis cards and 3-$50 Dis cards. Paid using 2 Target Gift Cards. Then I repeated that same breakdown on a 2nd order. 2 orders = $900 in Disney Gift Cards.

I went ahead and got my 6 $100 cards ordered. Got $30 left so I got $17.50 worth of Target cards from Gift Card Zen to get another $50 one. But the activation comment makes me nervous. I have yet to have any problems like that and I hope I don't.

Thank you to all on this thread... I ordered $600 of Disney gift cards this morning (just now). What I did NOT plan for was the extra $30 in Target gift cards I now have left over. Thankfully I am at Target a LOT and I anticipate possibly getting another GC for Christmas, so perhaps when I add those in I will be able to pick up another Disney GC. I have 2 trips planned in the next 2 months so I have no doubt I'll be able to use them.

I topped out at $3,300. We had family in town for Christmas over the weekend, and after they left round 8 pm last night, I contemplated making a last ditch run to a B & M. But, I was wiped. I also contemplated trying a few more online orders, but I passed out on the couch, and when I woke up...deal was done.

I will still hold out for some deals on eBay or Raise or Cardpool or places like that. And, I know we could have done more if we could have gotten to the store. But, I am relatively pleased with our haul. Just ordered my first round of Disney cards

You can always grab a discounted target card from gift card granny for 20 $ and get another disney one for $50

I hope everyone who needs their cards quickly for an upcoming trip is able to order them today. I’m in no rush at the moment. In fact, I’m waiting on receiving free Target gift cards from CapitalOne Rewards, Shopkick, and Ebates (my bonus for signing up). Once I have everything in place I’ll order my (practically free) cards! Good point someone made about hoping Target is organized enough to activate all these cards before sending them out today/tomorrow. I wish everyone pixie dust on their orders!
