So I tried to follow the advice on here about going to the end with your target credit card and then changing it to gift card but it doesnt reflect the 5% discount. What am I doing wrong?

I will try to walk you through it. If you log in to your Target account, and it already has your Red Card attached, the 5% should automatically show up. Go to your cart, then proceed to checkout. At that point, it should have the payment as your Red Card, and it will ask for your PIN. If not, I'm sure you can change it. In this screen, the 5% should be reflected under the summary.

Under the summary, there should be a "Pay with a Target gift card" link. Click that, and when it brings you to the next screen, unselect your debit card, and enter in your gift card #s. The 5% should remain, and you can complete your order from there.

I was able to change the delivery option to "signature requested" for my disney gift cards. It says it will be delivered on Christmas eve.

Our cruise is in August so I won't be buying Disney cards with the $900 I bought- I'll let the people who have trips coming up take advantage! But after the holidays I'll begin the eBay churning process.

I am in the same boat, as these funds are for a vacation next fall as well. However, you never know when the 5% loophole will go away, as there have been rumblings and rumors for a while now. I will probably spread my purchases out over a few days/weeks.

Do you have the Red Card chip card by any chance? I have read that the chip card seems to take away the 5% discount. Another reason I want to buy the GCs sooner rather than later. Never know when I am going to get a dreaded chip card.

This is interesting...I did 2 separate orders this morning with both $50 and $100 cards. They are splitting each order in 2 and shipping the $50 and $100 cards separately. I've received 3 out of 4 emails with the shipping information. Scheduled for 2 day air. Hopefully my last shipping confirmation comes through.

I placed similar orders (2 orders with $100's and $50's +1 tiny item). So far I've received shipping notices for one set of $50s and a bubble mailer from one order ....

I got the e-mail for 3x eBay Bucks (first time I've gotten one since I started paying attention!) but of course I just got a chance to sign on and GCM is completely sold out of Target GCs. I was going to buy eBay GCs with my $300 in Target GC I bought yesterday but now I won't bother. I ended up getting the Target GC at 20% off because I had $30 in rewards GCs to put towards the purchase, so I'll hang onto that for now. I've never done the eBay Bucks thing before and don't really buy anything on eBay regularly so I don't know how much extra I'd really earn by churning through there.

I have the red card chip card and I was still able to get the 5% discount.

I've had that happen before to me, maybe a month or so ago?

Try waiting a bit, logging out, clearing cookies, then logging back in to your Target account and starting over from scratch with your shopping cart. I think that's what I did last time.

Go through the checkout like you are paying for the purchase on your red card. Enter your pin and everything. Then, before you hit "Complete Order", hit the "Pay with Target Gift Card" button (Under the Complete Order button). At that point you should be able to enter your GC and check out with the discount still applied.

If that doesn't work, try clearing out your cookies, restarting your computer, etc. It should work after that.

When I did it this morning I put the Target Gift Card in and I already had my Target card number as default. It gave me the 5% off the 3 $100 Disney cards and when it took me to checkout I hit "apply" on the gift card. A message came up that the gift card covered my purchase.

Is there a limit to the number of eBay GC's you can apply to one purchase? I have $300 in eBay GC's in my Target cart but am hesitant to pull the trigger. It is giving me the 5% RedCard discount though!

ETA: And is it a flat $2.99 shipping fee no matter how many GC's you buy? I would have to buy 3 $100 GC's since that's the largest they carry. If I have to pay $3 shipping for each one I'm not sure it's worth it.

Maximum of 8 ebay giftcards in one purchase. Some people have reportred difficulty with more than 6 or 7.

$2.99 for the first card and $.99 for each additional card. Getting the $100 target cards can save you some money over having to get the same amount in $25 denominations.

Thank you! I think I'll just hold onto my $300 Target GC for now since the cards on Ebay keep going out of stock. I have other things I need to be doing right now than refreshing Ebay to see if they come back, lol.

Another thing I don't understand is why people list gift cards on eBay for more than the value on the card. Who would buy that? Most of them are free shipping, but still. Makes no sense to me.
