Does anyone know if you can buy Target gift cards in-store at Staples, Toys R Us or Savemart?

I was just at my local Savemart tonight and they didn't have ANY Target gift cards. They didn't seem to have a very good selection in general. Not like Safeway, which has every gift card under the sun! I'm not sure about the other stores you mention, but I'm curious about them too!

Staples does carry target gift cards. I'm a manager at a Staples. You cannot purchase other gift cards with staples gift cards or rewards checks. It is against store policy. I've caught numerous customers trying to do this and shot them down.

Clothes seem to work. I bought boys' underwear. I know someone orders a $2 placemat every time.

Stores don't like to stock gift cards from their competitors. Target sells office supplies and toys, so these retailers wouldn't sell gift cards for one another.

I hope Kroger doesn't figure this out--I buy most of my groceries at Target with gift cards purchased at Kroger

I have noticed this same issue on occasion (I am also using Chrome). Usually it works for me the 2nd or 3rd time. I have not tried using a different browser but that would be my first suggestion.

I've had serious issues with the Target website as well. I usually have to end up clearing my cookies or using the mobile website (which seems to work without issue).

thanks for all the help everyone. I found that if I just entered gift card without the "activation code" and then tried to save it, it would prompt me to enter it and I was able to save them all that way. I am such a raise addict now!!

I don't know if this has been mentioned as a way to get Target cards or not. If you use Mypoints, they have a shopping section for buying gift cards. Each card is worth points, and a few times a month, they offer bonus points for buying gift cards. They have lots of restaurants, Target, Kohls, LLBean, CVS, etc.

You can then take all the points you earn and cash out for a Target card.

Some of the gift card purchases give you a lot of points and add up pretty quickly.

I did! When I went to purchase another $300.00 in Disney cards the $1.99 place mats were not available. So I found another item that was even less and still got the ebates! Yay! This is really addicting.

I'm also loading the cards into my (newly opened) Disney Vacation Account to get another 2% back (but my time will be limited since our final payment will be due in March meaning I only have until November to get the funds into the account (to qualify for the 2% back).

Received a targeted ebay promo this morning - 5x ebay bucks, so 10%. So for those of you doing the Discover/Apple pay promo, you can buy the ebay cards at Staples (not sure about Office Max/Depot), and then go to ebay to get your Target cards. Looks like they are still out of the $100 cards. Doing the math, I came up with 23.5% savings when all is said and done.

Even if you don't do Discover/Apple pay and buy the ebay gc on target at a discount, the savings are still great, especially given that Kroger just added another 4x fuel promo. My head is spinning right now!
