How do you combine Target e-cards with a physical Target gift card? I looked at target's website and didn't see where it is possible to do this.

Edited to ask: or can I just use the mobile app to use the e-gift card? I see there is a barcode for each of my Target gift cards.....

Once you've confirmed that the value from the e-card has combined onto your physical or primary card, you can delete the e-card from your account.

And yes, each gift card you enter into your account through Target's mobile site, whether electronic or physical, has its own barcode. Whichever card you decide to combine everything to and use as your primary card will also have a barcode that you can present on your smartphone to the cashier in store, which the cashier will scan and apply to your purchase. I do this all the time, but occasionally the cashiers will ask if the barcode on my phone is a gift card before scanning.

In my paper coupon clipping I found some offers to buy products at Target and get $5 Target GC in return. I went online to see specifics about which products qualify and I found this handy summary of the various Target GC offers.

Not sure if someone suggested this yet. As you know Ebay has the Target cards on sale. All that is available currently is $100 target card for $95.What I did was buy ebay gift card off of target with 5% off with the red card. Paid for it with my 7% off cardpool target card, then bought the target gift card off ebay. More steps, but saves a little more.

Adding: It does take 3-4 hours to receive the ebay ecard from target. You can buy up to 2 $100 Target cards off ebay per member account, and I would except them to sell out soon.

You were able to buy the ebay gift card through target.com using the redcard discount? I thought that only worked on Disney cards. Nice to know!

After posting above, I dug my mom's (lives nextdoor) Target flyer out of her recycle bin (LOL) and found several more offers for the $5 Target GC with qualifying purchases. Then I went through my stack of unclipped coupons (like a month's worth of newspaper inserts). I paired many of the required purchases with clipped manufacterers coupons and for some I was able to print out coupons from online sources. My mom needed some items for her cat that were part of the GC offers. So..... all togther I saved $22 in coupons and sales AND collected 5- $5 Target Gift Cards which I will of course use to buy Disney GC!!!!!

I also understand (I think) that I can combine several of the electronic gift cards on to a single other, physical card that I purchase.

Here's my question -- is the combining of electronic gift cards what caused some people problems getting a refund when the Disney gift card orders were cancelled? If so, should I just buy several $5 cards at Target and add one electronic gift card per physical card?

I believe the only time there is a refund issue is if you place an order THEN combine any remaining funds to a different gift card AND target subsequently cancels that order. The reason is that the purchase was made with a gift card which has basically been voided (forced closed status is what it says) so the money cannot be returned to that card. If you plan to combine it with a "safe" card do that first-then place your order with the safe card-if the order is cancelled target will refund that safe card so you won't have an issue.

Try the mobile website rather than the mobile APP.

I agree with the other answer as well. Try them both (website and the mobile app). When I needed to do it, I couldn't get either to work and I also called Target customer service. No help. I did wind up stopping at an actual Target store on my way to work and the customer service desk took care of it for me. All of 3 minutes to walk in the store, do my tasks and walk out.

My Raise account was hacked early this morning. $840 worth of Target gift cards were purchased with our credit card on file in our account. Raise tried to tell me that someone probably got my email password and logged into Raise with it. My passwords for my email account and Raise were different. My email provider also requires a code sent via text message anytime someone tries to log into my account. They are reversing the charges and my Raise account has been frozen until everything is cleared up and I request it be unfrozen. I've deleted the credit card from Raise and changed my password as well. Just thought I would put this out there as an FYI.

That's terrible-I agree I never have my credit card saved in my profile on websites like that. How did they access the target cards-I thought they were emailed to you-did they hack your email too? Or did they update your raise account to show a different email address for delivery?

The target gift card info is listed in Raise under "Orders". No need to get into my email.

Ah I didn't realize the card access info was listed in the orders I just thought it showed what you had bought and when you bought it-that's good to know and IMO another reason to immediately use or transfer the balance to a card bought directly from target. If someone hacks your account they could drain cards you legitimately bought (as well as buy new ones)
