Disney Gift Card Deals

How does Gyft work? I just tried to go out there but it dosn't seem to list discounted giftcards like Raise and Cardpool. Trying to figure out how you got the 3 at $50 for $45.
As a new user they give you a code for $5 off an order of $15 or more. Yesterday there was a code available for $5 off a $50 ebay gift card, but that has since expired.

I'm sure this has been answered before, but are there any other websites that let you buy Disney gift cards online using that store's gift card? Staples by chance?

Good to know! What do the black friday deals normally look like? I'm new to the "disney gift card algorithm" as I like to refer to it, and definitely want to stock up on Target gift cards before Black Friday.

If I remember correctly, it was something like 10% off gift cards and you could use it to buy Target gift cards. Then when you order the Disney gift card online using those gift cards it became 15% off of the Disney gift card (with the Red card as the default payment but purchasing with the Target gift cards.)

Staples doesn't but I'm curious about RiteAid (if they even sell Disney Gift cards, I never actually go to riteaid)

I don't believe any of the drug stores do. I know Walgreens doesn't.

You can use Wal-Mart gift cards at Sam's Club, as I just so recently discovered thanks to this thread (!), and buy Disney cards there. Obviously you would need to be a Sam's Club member though.

That is what I did for our trip last year :) was a very easy way to get a decent discount! And so far, Sam's hasn't seemed to run out like Target does. So stressful!:scared1:

I've been collecting Gift Cards at Target, and now it's time to use them to buy my tickets. I thought I read here that you could use multiple gift cards. I'm on the payment screen of WDW.com and it's letting me use my Disney Rewards Redemption Card and one gift card. I'm not seeing how to add another gift card. Do I need to call the technical number?

You might need to call them, or you can also combine your gift cards into one at disneygiftcard.com :thumbsup2

You can either combine your gift cards (can be done online here: https://www.disneygiftcard.com/Manage/Transfer) or you can put the gift cards into a Disney Vacation Savings Account (http://disneyvacationaccount.disney.go.com).

With the latter, you actually get a bonus as well. They combine all of your cards onto one card number (which can be used as a gift card), and you get a $20 bonus for every $1,000 you spend. Thats how I always do it; an extra 2% savings.

Except I have about $500 in Target eCards that I can only use online. I imagine they'll be back in stock. *fingers crossed*

I'm pretty sure you can apply those to your mobile gift cards and use them in store.
You definitely should be able to use it in store-if you just download the target mobile app if you haven't already and add the e gift card in it will have a barcode for them to scan-also if you have a "safe" gift card (one you actually purchased from target directly) you can even use the mobile app to combine them thereby draining the money from the 3rd party gift card (so the prev owner can't try to use it after the sale)-if for some reason they won't accept that barcode via the mobile website you could always buy a $5 physical gift card and combine the $500 to it-then you would have an actual gift card to hand the cashier to scan. I have personally done this (always transfer funds onto my physical card and hand that to cashier for payment if not used online)

I believe you have to have the Disney Vacation Account open for 120 days before making any purchases with it in order to qualify for the $20 bonus offer.

It's showing up as "In Stores Only." Have they figured it out?

No, that's just what it says when they are out of stock online. Which happens often. They will come back in stock. Sometimes it takes a few days and sometimes it takes a little longer.

Yes, it does have to... I always forget about this, as I've had an account open since 2013.

Savings account users I have a question.
It might be silly but when you book your trip with it do you get the deals and all that? I am confused about the cashing out part I want to book a stay for next September at disneyland and I think the account is definitely a great tool, but i just don't understand the part of how you actually pay with the account. I've read the site several times and it just don't quite get it :P

Do you make your reservations on the disney site and apply the account balance separately?

DVA doesn't work very well at DLR, unless you go with package deal. I have always found packages to be more expensive than room only plus tickets.

Speaking of the DVA being open for 120 days, my 60 day mark is 2 days I believe AFTER my account is open for 120 days. How important is it to do your FP selections RIGHT at 60 days vs. say 58? My park days are 11/7-11/10.

Yes, unfortunately room-only reservations at DLR, for some reason, cannot be paid for with gift cards... However, I had good luck booking a package through Costco (got a bunch of extra perks/meal vouchers/gift card), and then paying with the DVA. Costco vacations are technically booked through Disney agents, so they take the DVA number no problem.
