Also...another newbie question... I won't have time for the DVA since I go in August. Ok so now for the dumb question... Do all the Disney restaurants allow disney gift cards to pay a meal with? I would rather get a discount buying Disney gift cards then putting it on my credit card and paying later

You can pay with your Disney GC anywhere that CCs are accepted, including restaurants and shops. I think the only place they may not be accepted is at kiosks.

Oh why didn't I realize that? DUH. Thank you! OMG the DisBoards are so smart! I feel like I just stumbled on an awesome saving secret! :mickeyjum

Here's another question - I am seeing that people are paying on Raise (etc) with a credit card - is anyone using their Chase Disney card? I'm guessing that would give you the 1% in rewards too? Or is that not for gift card purchases?
Yes, you can get the 1% for your Disney Visa. I prefer to use a different rewards card that gives me CASH back (then I can use it to get more target cards, to get more Disney cards, etc.)

I used my PayPal debit card to buy about $2000 worth of gift cards from Raise, CardCash and CardPool and just got my 1% credit today...another $20! That's in addition to the $25-ish that I earned by going through shopping sites like TopCashBack and Sunshine Rewards:sunny:.

Oh, I get that. It's just ridiculous that anytime anything comes up with innovations delivery, they can't do anything. I did find that I can put the tracking number into USPS system to track it. It is on it's way back with a 2 day delay in delivery.

Once it is delivered to a post office they can't do anything. Innovations is a UPS/USPS hybrid. Once UPS delivers to USPS, their part is over and they cannot do anything for you. It then gets delivered to you by USPS. So any delivery issues you might have would need to be addressed with USPS in the future, not UPS.

TopCash never works for me. eBates used to work for me for Disney cards at Target but doesn't anymore, I will have to look at Sunshine Rewards.

So for chuckles...A package with 1 $50 gift card was at my main post office 30 minutes from my house for 2 days. It left last night and in now a state away. I emailed UPS to see what the issue was and to see if they could redirect it (it is after all their tracking number) but they say I have to work with Target. lol. I replied that it was a UPS tracking number and that their lack of responsibility for anything with the name INOVATIONS on it was a cop out. Of course I will not hear back and will have to play the waiting game. At least it is the package with the $50 card and not the ones with several cards in it. I did notice that my orders with higher dollars have been shipped FedEx instead. It will still come USPS, I am sure, but any over $200 where shipped FedEx. I don't usually order more that 2 at a time I have seen this.
I feel your pain.

A package with 2 $50 GC has been in limbo between 2 post offices since Saturday. It was supposed to be delivered by yesterday at the very latest. I'll give it a few more days but if I don't have it by Monday, some poor Target customer service rep is going to have to handle my complaint and then promptly ignore it.

I just got an email from CardCash....get an extra 4% off Target gift cards with code 4MOREOFF. They are at 6.3% already so a $95.00 card is down to $85.46:cheer2:
Just paid $89.95 for a $100 Target GC! Not a bad deal. I might just use it in-store because this discount far exceeds the REDCard discount on in-store purchases.

Thanks! I was kicking myself because I saw 2 at Raise for 8.3% off and instead of just buying them I was explaining to my DH how this all worked and just like that, they were gone. This is a better deal. I bought one with a face value of $122.21 for $109.93 using a credit card that pays cash back. (I pay my balance in full at the end of each week.)

It only took 6 minutes for it to arrive in my email. :thumbsup2

If you use it in-store, you are missing out on another 5% off. You can buy 2 $50 Disney GCs at target.com for $95, or $5.05 plus your Target GC for $89.95. If you buy in store, you will have to add $10.05 to your Target GC because you won't get the red card 5% off in store for GC purchases---only online.

I wouldn't use it in-store for Disney GCs. I shop at Target for more than just Disney.

Target GC are out of stock online again...hopefully they will get them again. I HATE wondering. I have $700 in Target GC waiting. GRRR!

I just bought a physical target gift card with a value of $47.50 for $43.94 online at cardpool. Will use it to get my first $50 Disney gift online at Target.

12%-a good savings? Wanted to start small with my first one.

So many of us feel the need to include that sentence at the end. We're all afraid of being judged on the Budget Board. Well, some are just bragging, but I think most of us know (or at least think) that people on here will judge us if we don't state that. However, I haven't seen much judging of that sort recently.

Just in case ...

I pay off my credit cards every month.

:)

Meh! I don't care if people carry a cc balance to pay for their trips. But I do have rule for myself when it comes to CCs. It would be foolish for me to purchase GCs for a few % off and then pay my savings out in interest to the CC company. So, I don't buy what I do not have to cash to cover.
