The only time i have ever seen sears busy around here is Christmas. I have some leftover
points with the. Wonder if i could use that for a dis gift card?

I would love to know the answer to that. The rotating category 5% will work. But two potential issues on the Discover Deals side - #1 that your purchase is a gift card, and #2 that you're using a gift card to partially pay. If you try this, would you mind reporting back on what happens with Discover Deals?

Does it usually take a while to get the cashback? This is the first time ever i have used

The 5% rotating category cash back comes as soon as your statement closes. I honestly don't know when the Discover Deals cash back comes (if ever). I've never been diligent enough to try and figure it out. I've gone through the portal and received an email weeks later. And by that time, I've forgotten all about it. I have noted my recent purchases though - so will try and sort it out this time.

Would still like to know if JCPenney sells GC like Best Buy and can I use the JCP GC to purchase BB GC?

There's always the YMMV caveat, but in general JCP doesn't allow GC>GC purchases.

Me too -- trying to decide if I should go the Discover deals>Sam's route or just order the cheaper BJ's cards and pay with Discover. Gotta figure it out in the next couple of weeks ...

I tried going through Yazing yesterday when buying a Sam's gift card (paid w/ Discover). I did get an email today showing pending cash back (4%) . . . although it may be pulled back once they see it was a gift card I purchased. Would be nice to find a portal that pays out if Discover Deals doesn't.

Did anyone use ebates also? I did after signing up a few days ago (the same day I got the giftcards)

So within 3 days of ordering from Bj's the charge has posted and the cards were shipped yesterday.

I got a 10 dollar credit from ebates for signing up. So i ordered 1500 worth of cards and the total
was 1414.85. Not bad and i guess additional money back from ebates?
Now i will wait for Discovers cash back. I'm super cheap and like to squeeze every dollar
i can off disney vacations.

The matched cash back is for one year but worth it in my opinion. April, May, June quarter is wholesale clubs so we will max out on BJ's or Sam's Club. I got the card last year and Hubby this year..very happy. Don't forget to lock your existing Discover if you do not intend to use it for a year.

Thats correct - Discover IT. Matched cash back after first year. I have an old Discover as well, so I was uncertain whether I would be eligible for the doubled cash back on a new IT card. I confirmed via chat that its new ACCOUNTS that are doubled (not new customers), and they confirmed that my new card would be eligible. And yes, its very hard to pass up - especially with the rotating categories. And you can redeem your cash back for discounted gift cards, which saves even more. I sound like an advertisement, don't I???

Note the Discover IT Miles card earns more - 1.5% doubled to 3%. But of course there are no rotating categories, which is why I opted for Discover It.

If you apply, look for a link that offers a $50 credit after first use (that gets doubled as well). Have fun!

They switched me over to the IT card. I didn't ask, just showed up in the mail one day. It's an almost 20 year old acct, my first card at 18. Should utilize it better than i do.

I wondered about them going out of stock as well just because I want to do this again next qtr like you. I bought 16 of them last qtr to make sure I reached the max cash back. No idea on Q3 categories but I've been checking it every few days!

The good thing is there are plenty of options to get Disney gift cards at Sam's Club, Target, etc so we can get them just maybe not the best deal! I will post here when I know!

When I want to combine cards, I go to the courtesy desk in the store, and there are no problems. Not as easy as shopping in your nightclothes, but it does work. Hope there is a store near you.
