I did that BestBuy deal were you spend $200 and then you get a $20 coupon. I got the coupon so I tried to pair it with a $25 GC for BestBuy from Swag bucks so I would end up paying $5 for a Disney GC. The order got cancelled. Did anyone else try this?


Or was it I paid that $5 with paypal?

Orders online get cancelled, you need to go into the store and buy them.

I would love to know the answer to that. The rotating category 5% will work. But two potential issues on the Discover Deals side - #1 that your purchase is a gift card, and #2 that you're using a gift card to partially pay. If you try this, would you mind reporting back on what happens with Discover Deals?

I will definitely report back but it may take some time. I JUST requested the Walmart Gift Card and Capital One states it may take 2-3 weeks. As soon as I get it I'll make the purchase. The last gift card I requested it took about 10 days but we'll see.

Just got my Discover card, does the cashback apply on GC's purchased in-store at Sam's? My thinking was this: $150 Disney GC is $140 at Sam's, 5% CB from Discover and an additional 5% on all CB earned at the end of my first year for a total ~16% savings on my Disney GC's up to $3000 ($1500/quarter). Is this correct or am I missing something here? Would I get the same results or possibly better savings through the Discover shopping portal (IF the additional 5% would apply, which it likely won't as they are GC's)

I believe in store price is $142.98 or $143.98 (I've seen both). Online is $142.98. Savings would be 14.2%. Personally, I would go through the portal just in case it does happen to pay out.

My target is 20% off on the Disney cards, so I'm sticking with the Kroger fuel points program + Amex offers. But I am planning to buy myself Sams Club gift cards to use in the future at Sams/Walmart. Hard to pass up the Discover cash back.

At BJ's online, you can order $100 Gift Cards for $94.99, coupled with your 5%+5% that would be 14.51% savings. A little better.
I started buying mine at BJ's. Our Sam's now has $150 for $144.98. And with BJ's you don't need a membership and it counts with Discover as the Warehouse Club Category. Just my 2 cents

Yes it does. I have a new discover and bought Sam's gift cards online to max out my 1,500 and I got the 5% cash back.

I had an email in my inbox this morning for $5 off $15 at ebay when you check out with paypal. I haven't tried it yet, but the last time I had a coupon like this it did work on gift cards. The terms say it can't be used on coin, paper money, or real estate so I'm assuming gift cards are good to go. It's a unique code and expires 3/28/17.

Hmmm, I wonder why mine wasn't $ specific, I know I've seen JCPenney CG at Kroger but I cannot remember at what increments.

Would still like to know if JCPenney sells GC like Best Buy and can I use the JCP GC to purchase BB GC?

Go to Ebay and up at the top of the page towards the left side it says Daily Deals then Gift Cards, click on gift cards then on the next page on the left side there's a list and under Sales and Events it says Discounted gift cards, click that. It shows all of the gift cards Ebay has deals on for the week.

I walked into Sears last summer on a weekday at around 6:00 PM. The store was an absolute ghost town. I did not see a single human being anywhere in sight, or hear any sound other than the hum of the air conditioning. After walking around a little, I finally spotted one employee hanging some clothes at the other end of the store. That was the only other living being I saw in the whole store. I have no clue how they are still in business.
