Disney Gift Card Deals

Anyone know yet if the target gift cards will be on sale all day or just 6-12 noon? I'll be on a 12 hour trans pacific flight during the 6-noon time period and may not be able to buy them on line at that time but can buy them waiting on my connecting flight if they are on sale all day.

I'm skeptical of this for two reasons:

1) Target is getting stricter about gift cards so it seems unlikely that they would not force you to wait until the next day when this is always how it has worked in the past.

2) If this were the case, I would just continue buying gift cards all day long! By the end of the day, my $270 initial investment could be worth quite a bit.
I agree. I don't think they will allow you to use those gift cards right away. You could literally print money in that case.

In my CVS ad for this week they have "Spend $50 on SELECT GCs, get $15 ECB". Not sure what the "select" GCs are (picture has Xbox and Kohls) but if you shop at CVS, this is a good deal. You can't use ECBs towards GCs but I usually turn them buying things I need that produce more ECBs.

Plus chase freedom is 5% at drug stores.

You can use cash, debit card or credit card to buy the target gift cards
So I have a Target card with a low limit, but I can use another credit card to pay for the gift cards and still get the 10% discount? If so, that's awesome!

I bought an AMEX card at my Kroger yesterday with the $10 off coupon. If I go buy a Visa card with it today, is there anything special I need to do, or do I just pull it out of the package and I'm good to go? I haven't had one of these in a long time.

Also, has anyone done self-checkout at Kroger with gift cards? I wasn't sure if that was allowed.

Pull it out of the package and swipe it. I was asked for my driver's license (I don't have to give it to them with the visa since it has a pin). I can only use them at self check out with help I believe. I usually go through the regular line when I buy gift cards.

ok, I getting ready to bite the dust on the AMex cash back deal, and just want to make sure I get this correct, i can buy a $100 Target ecard from Staples.com, then i will be able to (hopefully) use that ecard to buy the target physical gift card on Dec 4th for 10% off correct? Can I use the Amex deal more than once?

That's how it has worked in the past. It's a one-time use offer (unless you have it on more than one card).

Hi Heather! My Staples purchases are odd as well. For some, I can clearly see the pending charge on my credit card. But for others, there is nothing yet - even though I've received (and used) the gift cards. Very strange! Also, where my purchase was mixed (some gift card + some merch), they have only charged me for the shipped merchandise. Figure I'll just wait it out a bit and see what happens.

I had the offer on three cards, I purchased Target e-cards over the last three days - 1 each day. All still show as pending on my credit cards, but I've received two Target cards via email already.

Also, when I did the Home Depot offer a bit ago, it took about a week for my $15 statement credit to show up, though it sounded like most people's were quicker. That was my first offer redeemed on my AMEX, not sure if that had anything to do with it.

My staples order shows up on my Amex (no longer pending). I expect to see the credit next week.

I spent my $100 target gift card today--$50 of groceries for $40 and a $90 Lego set price matched to Walmart for $57. Plus I got perks for my purchase.

Thank you all! Just a quick update - I did receive the $20 Amex credit today on the card that I did the Target e-gfit card so that's a full circle and the other two cards finally show the billing for the Disney gift card at $101.99, the same day I received them, yesterday.

Thanks again,
Heather

@Lain has helpfully answered this a few times - here's one:
I'd add that iTunes credit is not just good for iCloud storage, but for iTunes Store downloads of music, movies and tv shows; Apple App Store purchases; and subscriptions through your iTunes account like Netflix (and I believe Hulu). When Netflix finally got around to raising the price of our grandfathered plan last month, I canceled my subscription through Netflix and restored it as an in-app purchase through Netflix on iTunes. So now my monthly Netflix subscription is debited from my iTunes credit that I always buy at a discount.

A 15% discount on iTunes gift cards is pretty standard and these deals seem to pop up at least once or twice a month. I know Costco frequently sells a $100 pack of iTunes cards for $85. This PP deal lets you in on a discount for lower denominations ($25). 20% off happens often enough, and I see 25% off usually during Black Friday and the holidays. (You can follow http://twitter.com/itunescarddeals, who posts current iTunes deals.)

One more thing -- If you plan to buy iTunes music, movies or tv episodes or Apps, go through Ebates for 7% cash back! I don't think it works on subscriptions,

If you've purchased Disney gift cards from Sam's website with a Chase Freedom and gotten 5% back, let me hear it! :)

Thanks, guys!
I've purchased the $500 Disney gift card online at Sam's Club numerous times using my Chase Freedom. I've received the 5% back every time.
