Disney Gift Card Deals

Stopped by CVS to check out which gift cards have the special offer today. It was Nike, Children's Place, Kohls, Google Play, + some other Google card I can't recall. Nothing particularly exciting.

I just tried to place an order for Disney gift cards on Target.com and I paid with Target gift cards and the Target Visa like I have done the past 8 orders since 2015. The orders were canceled twice. When I called customer service they advised that I could no longer buy them with a Target gifts. Anyone else had this issue?

Hasn't worked for months.

Yup, Target stopped gift card with gift card purchases online months ago.

I was able to do this in July 2016. They said you could buy at the store and pay with Target gift cards. Has anyone did this recently?
Right now it's just online purchases that are dead, many have tried and successfully bought Disney gift cards with target gift cards in store.

Not GC related, but you guys are still the best resource.
In years past target offered a 10% off your total purchase if you spent something like $75 on Black Friday. The 10% off could be used the following week. I loved it for stocking stuffers and presents I never found on sale.
Haven't seen any mention of it for this year. Has anyone seen anything?

I'm really scared if tie up $2200 in Target gift cards they'll change the rules and I'll be stuck with them!!

As everyone will tell you there is risk involved and you have to decide what you are comfortable with. What we advice is never use money you can't afford to loose.

I personally never put all my money in one deal. I think I am only doing $300 in target this time because I still have 4 months to our trip and 10% is not that great of a discount.

This^

Plus, depending on how you use it, it might only be an extra 5%. For example, if your goal is to buy Disney GCs with it, you're saving 10-11% with the deal vs. 5% with just using your Red card.

I stopped actively following this thread for a while and just picked back up a couple weeks ago. With many of the previous "churning" channels now closed, I thought 10% to be a decent deal. Target GCs + Red Card. Gone. Game Stop GCs to other GCs. Gone. Buying GC on eBay. Gone. What am I missing?

It depends on what other avenues are available to you. I consider 10% to be a fairly average discount. I can get about 22% discount using my AmExp BCP and 4x fuel points but I know not everyone has this option available to them. Without that, I would probably be more excited about 10% off also. You have to use what you have :)

14.5% if you use Red Card

For me the 10% is free money on top of my normal 15%+ savings if they allow gift card purchase using a gift card. It's a no brainer. Just adds one more step.

So Excited!! I did it, and looks like the Vacation account is coming through as planned!
I had heard mixed reviews of people using it, but it paid off.
If you aren't using the Disney Vacation plan, definitely check it out.
When I redeemed it said 4-6 weeks before your vacation, so I was worried, however they sent me this only about a week later, so I'll have the card in time.

Bought $5600 in Disney Gift cards at Target over the course of 3 months.
Saved 5% = $280
Loaded $5,200 of them to my Vacation account, paid off vacation = $100 gift card back!
Savings of $380!

I saved $400 of my gift cards to take with us on the trip. I may purchase a few more, I have a feeling we're going to need more spending money with 3 teens for 10 days.

Also earned 9 Cartwheel perks rewards, this isn't a nationwide program yet though, but awesome if your area has it.
