just wanted to pop on to say that i checked my order of $650 worth of cards and they all came activated. guess I am lucky, but thought it was worth a mention that they aren't all coming out w/o being activated

Do I remember reading somewhere on this thread that if you take your gift cards to a Disney Store that they can combine them? I was given a few recently and would feel better if they were all on one card.

No, the Disney Store will not combine Disney gift cards.
I really wish they would.

Me too! It's such a pain! But now at least you can pay off reservations online with gift cards, so it's a little less to have to carry with you.

If only Disney would allow you to apply gift cards to ticket purchases online...because that took 1.5 hours!!!

How do you use them for tickets? This will probably be the main thing I use our cards for. I was hoping to buy them before the trip, even if over the phone. Didn't want to travel with a bunch of cards if I didn't have to.

Yep, over the phone if you want to pay with gift cards before your trip.

I paid for 100% of my trip online, with over $1,500 worth of GCs using MDE. Never once did I have to call about making the payments.

I'm doing DLR and staying off-site...I didn't think it would work for an off-site hotel.?? I might be totally off base since I haven't done DLR before! I know those packages are a little different.

You can use the Disney Vacation Account and enter your gift cards then use that to buy the tickets online. I paid for my room package, memory maker, and MVMCP tickets that way.

You can pay for them over the phone with multiple gift cards. I just did this about 3 weeks ago using 20 gift cards. You have to call the ticketing number to purchase Disney Park tickets with all gift cards. The number is 407 566 4985 and then you want to select option 5!

I would also like to know the answer to this. I tried to buy them instore today but I was not allowed to get the 5% red card discount if I am paying with target gift cards, but you can get the discount if you buy online

I'm worried that there are too many of us buying the Disney Gift cards at Target and Target will try to limit us or purposely delay posting new stock to the online store.

I am doubtful those giftcards are returning online until the 5 percent glitch is worked out. The idiot on news ruined it for everyone I am sure.

I just don't understand why people have to announce things like this to the entire world. Don't they know that people who work at companies like target read these boards too? It's so frustrating.

It depends on how you book your trip. DD booked her trip over the phone so that you could get the FD hotel of her choice using Disney Visa. Since she booked by phone she had to call in all her GC.
