... to video my wedding!!!

we payed for the most expensive package,

I honestly cant believe it, we noticed the camera man wasnt there before the ceremony, and my wedding planners assistant assured me that the wedding would be filmed using the cameras in the pavillion, and after the camera would arrive.

well she was wrong, they didnt turn the cameras on in the pavillion, and the cameraman didnt arrive until 1 hour before the end of the reception!!!

I am so upset and disgusted that we paid so much money to have it done right, planned it a year in advance only to have disney mess it up.

now what do I do, I have no video of my wedding. I couldnt even talk to the planner after the wedding and avoided her for a week, well now I am ready to talk to her and wanted peoples opinion on what I should say

make sure you check disney havnt messed your day up, I would hate it to happen to someone else.

on a positive disney florist was wonderful and so was randy chapman

OMG! So, so sorry! :sad2:

Has your planner been trying to call you? Gosh, how do you fix that- it's not like you can go back and do it all again!

oh my GOD!!!!!!!

i am SOOOO sorry that happened to you!!!

I would raise holy H*E*L*L!!!!!!!

that is Unaceptable, especially for the price you paid!!!!!!!& even after your EP confirmed everything would be fine.......you need to call them & express yourself VERY firmly about your dissappointment & what are they gonna do about it!?!?!

Aww I'm so sorry to hear about your videography! That's simply unacceptable, especially for Disney!

Make sure you do your research before calling your planner. Read your contract. Look for anything that states what their duties would be on the day of your wedding. If they didnt follow the contract (although that's obvious) they are in breach of contract. You'd be well within your rights to ask for a full refund of your contract.

To be honest, I'd probably ask for more! There's nothing that can replace a video of your wedding, and a full refund wouldnt be good enough for me. I didnt want a video of mine, I figured I'd never watch it. But that's only my opinion... it was important to you, and you used Disney although you could've gone with an outside vendor (and had him show up!).

Sorry this got a bit long, but just be sure to do your research so you can have an educated conversation. Decide what you want Disney to do to compensate and then insist on it firmly. Provide reasons why you think your solution is fair. Be sure to be firm but nice. Good luck! Please let me know how it goes.

Oh My Gosh! I'm so sorry to hear that this happened. I know that if it happened at my wedding, I would probably be furious. Hope you get something resolved soon!

I would have to agree with this...

I'm so sorry this happened to you.

I hope this doesn't sound bad, but I have heard of Disney making good when they make an error. I know it's not going to be the same (you can't re-do a wedding video) but I hope they come through for you too.

I would also raise H*ll, they should refund the ENTIRE contract, because they did not keep their end and I would also seek further compensation. Especially since you brought it up with the assistant and she did nothing about it.

Oh My God Indeed!! I can't believe this because it really is quite shocking! Who was your Co-ordinator? Oh gosh you must be sooo upset {hug} I'm so sorry {hug}

I do hope that the DFTW are taking care of you, let us know the outcome.

Holy Crap! I would be livid if I were you! Moments like that are irreplaceable. Good luck with talking to Disney about it. I, too, have heard that they are pretty good for trying to make it up. I know nothing will ever make it up to you-- but I hope you at-least get extra compensation. Make sure you let them know that no matter how much you wish you could go back in time that those memories can never be captured on video again.

I can't even post what I would be wanting to say to Disney right now.

Wishing you lots of luck, keep us all posted.

I completely agree with Kristen14, you need more than a refund of your money! It was supposed to capture your day, and they f***ed up! You even commented on it to them, they have no right to keep your money. Thats a breach of contract! Definitely.

I am so sorry that this happened to you! sending hugs

my planner was michelle wenzler dorr

I will be on the phone to them tomorrow, as I have read the contract and it clearly states I paid for video and from what times

Please keep us in the loop and let us know what happens! I hope Disney comes through for you.

I would definitely be PO'd. When you do contact DFTW about this, I would not only contact your planner but also the head of DFTW. I would go up as high as you can. It sucks that it happened to you, but hopefully you can prevent it from happening to anyone else.

If it was me, I would simply ask for my money back from the video. No amount of compensation could make up for not getting my wedding video.

OMG I am SO sorry!!! I would be SO PISSED! That is something you have nightmares about but isn't supposed to really happen! Like others have said... there's no way to get that back. I think they need to do a hell of a lot more than just refund the money for the video package- that's simply obvious... you didn't get what you paid for and you should get your money back. They need to do something way beyond that to attempt to make up for it. That is the worst thing I've herad on these boards!

Again, I'm so sorry, I can't imagine how upset you must be.

Livid would not even begin to describe my feelings if that happened. I am so sorry and hope they make it right for you!

Like others have said before me, I couldn't even put what I want to say into words. I'm so sorry for you. I would reread the contract and make notes of exactly want they were supposed to do. I would ask for more compensation than the video payment. I mean isn't video and photography supposed to capture everything you paid for? And now that's its over, they can't capture it. I would also take it as high up as it can go - I would ask to deal directly with a manager. That might sound extreme, but they can make decisions directly. Give your planner a chance to talk it over and then talk to the manager or director or whoever.

I hope it gets better for you!!!

WOW. I am so sorry.

I agree with Kristen and the others. If this is a breach of contract, you may be able to get compensated for the entire wedding, maybe more. I know that won't make up for it, but at least it's something.

good luck!!

Hang your heads in shame Disney, that is completely unacceptable!!

At the end of the day we have our weddings with them to have that extra magic & your co ordinator is suppose to make sure that everything runs totally perfect allowing you to focus fully on just enjoying your big day.

I cant even begin to imagine how upset you must be, at the end of the day its an error that they have made which needs to be compensated for. You re doing the right thing by calling them, dont bottle your feelings up at all & let them know exactly how much this has upset you.

Lots of fairy dust sent your way from me, chin up girl!!!

First of all, I am so so sorry, this is horrid. I wouldn't even bother going through the coordinator. Go directly to the manager!!

Also you mentioned the videographer showed up at the end of the reception. Did the videographer offer any explanation at all?

Oh and if you play your cards right I'm sure Disney will offer far more than just the videography fees.
