Oh dear :( that's not good to hear at all, obviously you'll have to wait and see what your Co-ordinator says about this.

But yayyyy I'm glad that this has not marred how brilliant your wedding was :)

I'm so sorry this happened to you! Please make sure that you are properly compensated by Disney. Even with all the magic, they are a company providing a service and they must be held accountable when they make a mistake. Disney forgot about a much less important element of my wedding (our DP floral) and I did email Jeff Ralls (?) the wedding director. I was compensated for what we paid for the floral. If you need his contact info,PM me. Best of luck to you and let us know what comes of this!

That is something you have nightmares about but isn't supposed to really happen! Like others have said... there's no way to get that back. I think they need to do a hell of a lot more than just refund the money for the video package- that's simply obvious... you didn't get what you paid for and you should get your money back. They need to do something way beyond that to attempt to make up for it. That is the worst thing I've herad on these boards!

couldn't agree more!:grouphug:

Oh lord... I can't imagine what I would say...
It's a good thing you are trying to calm yourself down before talking to them.

If I were you I'd call them and listen to what they say.
Then try to process it first before replying.

I'm so sorry this happened to you... the last people I'd think would be liable to do something like this is Disney... :(

Oh my! Like everyone else, I'm sending you lots of hugs and pixie dust. I can't imagine how that could've happened. I am soooo sorry. I know no matter how much compensation, it's still not going to be better. I really feel for you and hope it ends up okay. Lot's of :grouphug: :grouphug: !! Hang in there and again, I'm so sorry.

First off, I am sooooo sorry. Now, with that being said, if Disney does not compinsate you (and I'm sure they will, not that it will make up for the missing tape), I would highly consider contacting a lawyer. They were under a contract to do something, and they didn't. Do NOT just let this go... Under NO circumstances! Good luck!

I am so so sorry this happened to you. I know nothing will make up for it but I'm sure Disney will refund the amount you paid for the video. I would take it to the manager and find out how this happened.

Wow, I guess when we deal with Disney we don't expect something like this to go wrong. It makes me nervous they could forget a huge element like this. And they forgo tJaxTeach's floral too!:sad2:

Wow, I'm sorry to hear they messed that up for you. I am glad you had a brilliant day, if it were me, I'd definately want back what I paid for the videography, and I guarantee that Disney wouldn't blink at that. Beyond that, I'm not sure. It's not like you can do it all over.

You still had your wonderful day, so I don't know that I would demand a full refund. I'd let Disney make an offer, and go from there. Good luck, I hope whoever you deal with is empathetic.

I am really sorry! I know what it is like not to have things go great during your wedding and things that got missed, etc. I will tell you one of the things that I did was take a deep breath. Relax, and approached it with utter calm. I did go up the chain with the different departments until I got someone that could help me. I found that by being calm and reasonable, it was easier for them to deal with the situation. I am always willing to listen if you need an ear that has been through it. I found Disney to be reasonable and accomodating in helping me resolve what we could. Even now, I won't discuss what happened, but I will say, it was not at the scale that yours was.

i'm thinking free vr. anyone else?

please let us know the outcome as it will help our future disboard brides!

sorry whats a vr? lol

anyhow spoke to michelle and I must say I couldnt ask for better in a planner, she did what I wanted and it wasnt her fault the video man didnt come (I can see that part ok) its just a shame the videography department doesnt give me the same support and confidence

you know as the days go on and I think more about it I think of the opportunities and occasions I would have shown the video and it really makes me sad

I gotta give a positive though, rose from disney florist worked wonders for flowers!!

What are they going to do about it though?

That's terrible!! Simply Terrible!!

Get that money back Girl!

OMG, you can not let them get away with it. I know you can't recapture the video, but they can not get away with it. I am glad everything else was perfect on the day and I am sure Randy has captured al of the magic for you.

Good Luck.:grouphug:

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I'm glad you had a beautiful wedding, though. Try not to let it get the best of your beautiful day. Maybe just ask Disney if they'd give you some free reprints of your photos or maybe a free album in lieu of video? That would be nice for them to do. :goodvibes

VR is a Vow Renewal.
I really hope you are not going to let them get away with this. What are they going to do? Did your planner give you any hope to at least get your money back?
