Ten days in January or Feburary is a LOT of days. You can save a lot by going seven - food, lodging and tickets will all go down.
That's a very good point. More isn't always better--sometimes it's just more.
If you're going in a the slow season and can move at a reasonable pace (i.e. traveling party doesn't include very young kids or those with health/mobility issues) you'll be able to see everything and then some in a week.
You could save money and not really miss out on much by paring down a few days.
