Boardwalk Deli - Mummy Cupcake - Spiced Vanilla Cake, Apple compote and Milk Chocolate Mousse. This was really cute and I wanted to like it. I was also curious because the flavor combo seems odd to me but maybe I would discover something different. Sad to say, it looks way better than it tasted. They should have stopped at the apple filling with spice cake because the addition of the chocolate mousse just didn't work. The stuff around the middle was coconut if I remember correctly? This was last month so my memory is little fuzzy but whatever it was it didn't add anything to the cupcake so it was fairly forgettable and I love coconut. I think it would have been nice with a vanilla buttercream with a bit of caramel topping or even a streusel topping.

OTOH, I really liked the Wilderness Lodge Roaring Fork Cupcake. I loved the look of it as it screams Wilderness Lodge! Maybe not for everyone because it was very sweet, but I really enjoyed the marshmallow buttercream inside. Yeah, I'm a sucker for cupcakes with buttercream centers! The extra sweet surprise were the little chocolate rocks on top. So good! I liked it so much I ended buying 3 of the them for the trip. ALL 4 ME!
