Oh my goodness everything looks delicious...Im getting hungry. lol.!

Anybody have pics from Ohanas character breakfast...Im eating there for my next trip...I want to know what its like..Ive been to the dinner but im curious to see what the breakfast looks like.

No, that was not my intention......I was just saying I like the Disney photos because I will actually get a chance to try those items, and if we start posting stuff from Olive Garden, Applebee's, Cracker Barrel, etc. the thread may loose it's original intent and fill up the thread quickly. Please, I did not mean to offend.......sorry!! :flower3: The images from melting pot were beautiful, but the closest one to us is four hours away.

:thumbsup2

No worries at all! no offense taken, when i posted them it was more of a "look what a real fondue looks like" when everyone was saying the one that WDW serves isn't that great....I should have thought better of it when i posted it :)
Too bad you don't live closer btw, its fab!

I've scrolled through the thread and probably missed it but can somebody post pictures of their dinner at Ohana.

Thanks in advance!

I'd like to see them, too. We have ressies there for dinner in a few weeks and I've never been there before.

The tea is gorgeous and I didn't realize that they put the stuff in a box that you buy at Goofy's. That's awesome as I am bringing lots home for gifts:)

Here are photos of DH's birthday cake from a couple of weeks ago. We ordered it and picked it up from Boardwalk Bakery (no big deal, we were staying at the Dolphin). It was an 8in. vanilla with white chocolate mousse and white chocolate frosting. Absolutely delicious!! Way better than any traditional b-day cake I have had. I think I will order another one on our next trip if we have a b-day or not :lmao:

Hey.....how come you didnt save me a piece?????????!!!!!!!!! :)

Looks yummy

:scared1: What do you mean it may no longer be offered. How could it be.. Please say it isn't so. :sad1:

What??? I thought they were keeping the desert. I will not go back if they get rid of the bread pudding it is so delicious..

When are they planning on changing the dessert? I hope not soon!

There is another thread going that states 'Ohana is going to have the old pineapple and caramel dessert instead of the bread pudding. Some seem pretty positive that it will be phased out (the potatoes have been replaced within the last 2 weeks by noodles with pineapple - it's a sad day, a very sad day :sad1:). However, others seem to think that it will remain as an option...it remains to be seen what will really happen. There are folks on that thread who are also waiting for pics of the new/updated menu.

Here is the link for all who are interested. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1748700

I am actually thrilled that they are going back to the old menu items at Ohana's it used to be our favorite place to go. We are now going back in April and cannot wait!

Actually, if you use half and half (or even milk), you can thicken the the soup with a slurry of all purpose flour and cold water. The thickening agent will come to full thickness at a boil, but then you should cook the soup a little longer to "cook out" any raw flour taste slurry may have.

:thumbsup2

Considering that this soup is NOT cooked, I don't think that would be a good idea...

It's basically a cold strawberry smoothie, served in a soup bowl. It's not really "soup" in the traditional sense.

Guess it would have helped if I would have looked at the original recipe first..........oops. :confused3 Well, if you are making a hot soup, then you can use this advice! ;) Next time I'll look before I advise........mea culpa.

:thumbsup2

I went to WDW for nine days and only got these food pictures.:sad2:
Well I hope you enjoy!:thumbsup2

"Their yummy bread w/ oil and guinness to dip it in"

Do they serve it with Guiness and Oil to dip the bread or did you add the Guiness yourself? My DH would love this!

What is the deal with the Micky head??? What is it made of?? Was it an edible garnish???
:thumbsup2

That Mickey head is too cute!

Is it a white chocolate garnish especially for Halloween?

On the back it says "Edible (copyright) Disney" My mom took a bite of it's nose though, and it's as hard as plastic, and just as tasty! :rotfl2: I still have it though. We also got one at DLR in late Sept. So, yes it is a Halloween decoration, but really not edible-I only wish it was white chocolate.
