No pics to add, but wanted to say that we "scootch" here in Michigan too!

Plus, McDonald's just started selling sweet tea here and it is out of this world!! I love it--although, I am a northerner, so I may not realize what truly good sweet tea is! :rotfl2:

Had to post the WONDERFUL pineapple coconut bread pudding with bananas foster sauce since there is a very possible chance that it will no longer be offered at 'Ohana :sad2: :sad2:

:scared1: What do you mean it may no longer be offered. How could it be.. Please say it isn't so. :sad1:

lol no the one in Darien CT but I bet its the same, since i think they are a chain....omg sooo yummy
I think im a regular at least for cheese and choc....and you can get more dippers....more banana's and brownies please lol

Haha ok...the bananas and strawberries are good!!

:offtopic: So sorry. I have to tell you that the Melting Pot is DH and my very favorite chain restaurant. We went for Valentine's day this year. And for dessert, we always order the "Special Event". That's where you make your own concoction. Ours is dark chocolate with Kahlua (flambe'd if we're in the mood). I can't find anything on the menu as heavenly as this.

Now, back on topic - that thing above from 'Ohana. This is the first I've seen it but it looks fabulous! Why do you think they are getting rid of it? 'Ohana is on our ADRs and we are looking very much forward to that dinner.

My Shrimp and Prosciutto Penne Pasta - Yummo!

Were the prosciutto & shrimp in a cream sauce? I can't really tell from the pic if there is a sauce or just melted cheese. It looks incredible and I would love to make it at home. Even better, does anyone have the recipe?

Where is this served at? YUMMY!

isn't Mikes ice cream near you? My aunt is in Westin and we go to the elephants trunk flea market every year and go straight to Mikes right after..its like a ritual!

Do you mean Dr Mikes? In Bethel? if so then YES I work right down the street and sometimes will go for a choc shake for lunch LOL

Also I think WDW needs a melting pot type restaurant....at least cheese and choc fondue lol

ok and back on the WDW food topic....That coconut bread pudding looks TO DIE FOR!!

At least one WDW restaurant has chocolate fondue. I can't remember which. I have seen it on either this or the old food porn thread. Someone here will know.

It's an individual serving though, and I can't tell if the chocolate is warm and I'm pretty sure it's not spiked with Kahlua! :rotfl:

Two questions: Was the shrimp cocktail as small as it looks?

And did you substitute the green beans for the greens?
We prefer green beans and are hoping to substitute if we end up going there.

The shrimp are large to jumbo size, but you only get like 4 of them. I did not have an issue with that since between that, and dinner and dessert and the chocolate shake to drink, I was pretty full at the end.

I did sub green beans for the greens. I'm not a greens eater, but love their green beans. Did it with no problems.

I believe it's either Narcoosee's or Citricos, but I may be wrong.

Kona Cafe has a chocolate fondue- if you'd like to call it that. The chocolate serving was quite small and not warm (at least by the time it got to the table). It came with fresh fruit and some cake or bread.. Nothing like the fondue I'm used to back home.

Here are some non disney pics....LOL since we are on the melting pot subject, here are pics of the dessert there:

The dippers....when I went last there were no pineapple, there were rice crispie treats instead

Actually, this is a Disney food pictures thread (see title). I would hope it would stay that way too.....but you can't stop people from posting anything they want. This thread was meant to continue sharing of food pictures from WDW restaurants and discussion of WDW food. Not trying to be critical, I am just more interested in the offerings from WDW since I will actually get to go to those restaurants.........I won't be visiting the restaurants in Timbuktu.

:thumbsup2
